Pros

Failed to properly convey system limitations during the sales process. Oversold capabilities of the system, including operationally and with accounting and reports. Refused to refund our company's initial deposit when these issues were uncovered during the implementation process and we had terminated services. It's a shame that Newbook is developing a negative reputation by overpromising and underdelivering.

Cons

Unfortunately, our experience with Newbook was extremely negative. We built strong initial relationships and had good communication, but Newbook oversold what they system was capable of achieving in conjunction with out current systems. We sunk thousands of dollars into an implementation process that failed at 2 properties, and Newbook refused to refund a penny and when quiet. I do not recommend doing business with this company in any capacity.

Worst experience. It’s overall confusing. The receipts are awful and don’t make sense and doesn’t itemize things. I can’t even give my clients a proper receipt. Don’t use this software! It’s a nightmare

There is nothing that is good about this software. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Cons

There’s 12 steps for every thing you want to do. Not user friendly. Hard to train people. Can’t do group bookings! It’s awful!!!

The mandatory trainings were nothing but listening to somebody talk through the system. There was no hands on interactive training or training that actually pertained to the systems we needed to utilize. Any question during the training was met with unfriendly and curt response. The system itself is beyond unfriendly to use. Airbnb app or a spreadsheet is much easier to maneuver. We would highly recommend looking for another booking platform besides Newbook.

Pros

The calendar interface with the guest is ok

Cons

The experience with Newbook was very frustrating. We were never able to get the program to work with our hybrid business model of private/public reservations, despite being promised it would. After many many hours of training, emails, and customer service calls we decided to cancel the subscription and then continued to receive billings.

We were over promised that Newbook would be able to collaborate with our product model.

Absolutely love Newbook!

Pros

The software itself is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of using. Basic yet complex and has everything you need and more in a product like this. I love that you can't make a mistake. There is always warnings and pop ups just to ensure you are doing the right thing at all times. I love the fact that every key stroke and every action is recorded in the audit log. I absolutely love this software.

Cons

That it makes me addicted to it and I find it hard to drag myself away from it at the end the day. I am constantly running different reports and filtering information to see what i can find.

We love it. The program is perfect for us to manage 20 plus cabins and camping sites. The support staff are always helpful and in a good mood. That's important because you feel like you can ask for help.

Pros

Newbook is very user friendly. Unlike some other programs, technical issues are minimal to none. I can train a new staff member how to use it very quickly. All your favourite functions are displayed and you can drop and drag to arrange the screen very simply anyway you like. Also - they offer ongoing training and new feature webinars.

Cons

I have not used it for Marketing to customer base as yet and this would be awesome if it's there.

Reasons for choosing Newbook

I spoke to existing customers using RMS and even they suggested Newbook was the superior product. A fellow Holiday Park owner was moving from RMS to Newbook.
