I was required to use it as a test to see if it could be integrated alongside another LMS test software. Cons For me personally the interface was not intuitive for the task we were using it for. While I don't think this is normally used in a college-classroom setting we were considering it for that and it just didn't meet our needs. It may work for you Review Source BH Brian H. My district did a fabulous job using this program to create training presentations for many gradebook and other essential information I needed. Pros My district uses Blackboard for preparing teacher training presentations. I find it easy to use and a great resource. Cons I feel this program is being replaced with youtube. There are way too many steps to perform an action, and too many screens to get in and out of to access various modules. Pros It is widely used so there are a lot of videos in Youtube and a lot of information from academic communities. Cons The paths to reach a certain level to perform an action are too convoluted, it is too clunky and is not intuitive. I had an issue and it took their customer support over 10 days to respond and address the issue, which is a known bug in the software. Review Source MD Mike D. Blackboard provided each teacher the ability to create diverse classes through their use of online tools such as blogs, online collaboration, and easy communication between professors, classmates, and participants in other classes of the dame subject. These tools that Blackboard provided could have created an amazing classroom experience at home. However, blackboard was so complicated to use and had so many bugs that it became more of a hassle than a tool to be utilized. Posted materials would disapear or be locked out of no where. Blogs wouls stop refreshing. One time, a professors whole page was reset to blank over night. These things would always be quickly fixed but annoying none the less. It's not especially easy to use, and it's completely poor on mobile devices. for creators of content is a great tool, because it is almost impossible to get lost when designing and building an educational material, it is so intuitive that a long specific personal training is not necessary. Cons In intensive or massive uses it is very slow .. the interface for the instructor is not particularly attractive, lUI / UIX is complicated, you have to navigate a lot to reach the desired destinations ... the multilanguage support is very poor, if you do not know speak English, you're dead ... It's a very expensive product .. It has many useless and redundant features that until now I have not found use ..
