Pros I really like using blackboard. It is a lot better than other programs I've had to learn for school. It is super easy to navigate. You can find all your assignments there. There's a calendar to make when assignments are due. My favorite part I think, is the fact that you can email another student through blackboard. So if you are doing a project and you've never met your partner, or don't have their information, you can email them through blackboard. Cons There really isn't anything that I don't like about it. It can handle grades and other submissions fairly well. Pros Blackboard Learn streamlines online learning - it is intuitive for both students and lecturers. It allows for progress tracking and student-created content. It has integrations with Zoom. Cons The interface could be improved - it can sometimes be too clunky. It might have a steep learning curve for those who are not tech savvy. Formatting can be improved to allow for more creative outputs. Each year this system gets better and more versatile to use. It also does not require much training to lean how to use it which make it user friendly on both sides. I also like that I can pull it up on my my phone even if the fromat is not always right. Cons It can be hard to find certain things and often tabs are hidden withing other tabs. This an also be frustrating to students when trying to locate content. The mobile app does also have some kinks, it does not format well. It was easy to create weekly folders and announcements about assignments - and send individual reminders to all of the students so they stay on track - all while easily keeping track of grades. Cons For some instructors, it was difficult to get a hang of the details of the software. I have had dozens of students who have been able to complete courses despite their frustration and earn credits towards their high school diploma. Pros Blackboard Learn enables teachers to create online courses, which allows students in remote locations to earn credits and complete a high school diploma. Cons Blackboard Learn is a frustrating platform to use. Every page, image, module is saved into a new "Blackboard" format, which is not compatible with anything else. It has a lot of value added features, so much so that you can no longer find the simple things. They should also focus on getting the bugs out of what is really needed and not focus so much on adding more. Keep it simple, stupid KISS. over all a pretty decent LMS but there are better for less. Pros Feature Rich - lots of value added functionality Love that there are break out rooms for each session Clickable rubrics - awesome Cons 345/100 characters minimum Cons Grading system is too granular. if you use this it makes it too easy for a few bad assignments to tank students grades and gives the instructor more work. What do you have against independent content. I create videos using Camtasia and Movavi, but its often a fight get them placed where I'd like or even to get them to run in the first place. Students enjoyed the standardized ability to track lecture notes, videos and access course readings. For me, it managed the basics of course content delivery really well. Cons Student management was challenging. I spent many hours working out how to grade material online and how to hide or show results for students. I found the help files not particularly useful for these challenges, and as these were things that I only performed once or twice per year, I tended to forget how to resolve these issues. Pros tiene varias cosas muy buenas que no encuentras en otras aplicacion como por ejemplo tener acceso a 2 o mas cursos en un portal unico.Puedes diseñar un monton de herramientas de aprendizaje como examenes, cuestionarios, test....El seguimiento de la capacidad evaluacion y seguimiento de los alumnos se hace de una manera rapida y facil. Cons Su elevado precio, es cierto que la diversas funciones que tiene la hace de las mas completas del mercado y que es un aplicacion que no da practicamente fallos, pero lamentablemente la relacion calidad-precio esta descompensada. Pros I very much enjoyed using blackboard learn while in my undergraduate courses. The navigation system is hard to get used to but the layout is designed well. I like the fact that communication is simple and user friendly, but the backgrounds and overall set-up is plain and not that exciting for students and teachers. Pros I like that I can meet with students and teachers from all over the United States and communicate with them through chat or email. It is easier to submit assignments than Google Classroom, and I appreciate the feature that allows teachers to leave feedback to students on their assignments. I also like how the assignments are laid out on a list that is easy to follow. Cons It is boring. There is nothing that really sets it apart from other LMSs. I would like to see it incorporate other features or links and/or pictures. Teachers can add these things, but it takes a lot of time and effort. I think it has room to grow.
