Very supportive. They communicate right away and do their best to meet our needs.

Pros

They listen to our situation as a small business and support our ability to afford their WellnessLiving services.

Cons

The increased merchant processing fees and later the increased subscription fee initially felt like we had no choice but after reaching out to explain our financially burdened situation, WellnessLiving understood our challenging situation and helped to make things fair and continue to maintain open communication to meet our needs on this.

### "One Happy Customer"

We have been extremely happy with this software. So much so, that we have now implemented is at several clubs. Our clients love that it saves them money, compared to other club management software that we have used in the past. They also appreciate the ease at which their members can use it.

Pros

The initial data migration went seamlessly. The software is easy to use and easy for our members to understand. They love the ease of the app and are more inclined to use it, because of how easy it is. The reporting is exactly what we needed and there are so many different reports that we utilize. Finally, when we have had a question on issue, the support team has been fantastic at responding quickly and providing a resolution. Our club is so happy to have made the switch.

Cons

The only thing we didn't like was with one of the sales reports. We prefer to see the money that we actually receive, not everything that was billed. Once we realized we had to go under the advanced settings, to change the report from accrual to cash sales, we were able to see what we wanted.

### "Not for yoga studios with services"

A huge headache. I dont know whats better but will begin seeing demos this week.

Pros

Its more affordable than MBO and all the class features work as they should. The apps are easy (when they’re working).

Cons

SERVICES:Literally everything regarding assets and appointment booking, I could literally go on forever.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Customer service is outsourced in a call center and i assume have a high turnaround. I get answers to my questions 50% of the time. The other 50% is my explaining my problem, breaking it down, over and over for 40 mins with no resolve. Ive lost countless hours on the phone with them (literally every day i come across an issue).Also since my forced “professional upgrade” the customers service has gotten worse, WHEN they answer the phone.APP slow and constantly crashing.MARKETING No integration with paid ads, clients get lost from website to WL.

### "All-In-One Booking System"

I appreciate Wellness Living’s customer service. As a business owner with a looooong to-do list, I love that Wellness Living makes our booking platform easy for myself and for our users. All the options available are also exceptional.

Pros

I love that Wellness Living includes so many of the features that I would have to pay more for on other platforms. Also, I feel like technology can easily overwhelm me and I find WL very user friendly.

Cons

Sometimes there are glitches during upgrades, but they are taken care of quickly.

### "So happy we left MindBody, basic things were so cumbersome and they keep raising their fees!"

I spend way less time setting up new things, or sorting out issues than I ever did with MindBody. This program is ten times more intuitive. And we save TONS of money which is so important for a new business! During the migration process, we've had a lot of questions, requests, and ideas but they never backed away from the challenge. It's been a pleasure working with one of the customer rep and the WHOLE SUPPORT TEAM, who actually pick up the phone when I call. It's amazing how quick our request features can come to life, and we love that WellnessLiving is always growing and changing, and all for us to benefit! The PLUS side is there are NO extra costs when they increase functionality and add features as we're given a monthly fee that is ours forever! Which equals NO surprises! This is the BEST for us as a new business and only helps us thrive and survive in this industry. We always recommend WellnessLiving to any fitness or salon type business, especially people from small business. We even helped our neighbor \`Salt Therapy switch over, who were also struggling with the frustrations of MindBody. All in all, switching over did include hard work and effort, but TOTALLY WORTH IT! We are SO much happier to be with the WellnessLiving team, and we can't wait to see how they grow and expand.

Pros

Hi-Ignition opened its doors in April 2016, with MindBody as the operating system. The owner brought me on board in September 2016, and quickly I realized the frustration and incapability's of MindBody. I also noticed a lot of work around the owner and her team used, just so they could get the system up and going to service clients, although it wasn't working ideally or consistently. I spent 3 months working with MindBody, constantly frustrated, random functions that used to work just stopped, and it was impossible to get someone on the phone for support and could take up to 2 days to get a call back from them. At the time, we were also drowning in operating fees as MindBody's business model is to integrate with other companies to offer more features, but it always comes at an extra cost to use that new feature and company. Operating monthly fees were also increasing, and I was told any updates and new features that raised the monthly cost for operators would be passed along to us with no option not to pay the increase. Luckily, in October, we received an email from WellnessLiving in October 2016 to check out their system. The owner encouraged me to give them a call, which I did, and everything they had to say sounded fabulous! The account manager was very honest and upfront with us, which was a breath of fresh air from the MB. After that call, I did my research calling other companies using WellnessLiving and all the feedback was positive! So we signed on.

I really appreciate how robust the platform is without it being too complicated to navigate.

Cons

As with all softwares, it doesn't always do exactly what I'd hope for it to. I also find that some members have challenges navigating the software for anything other than classes. (ie. appointments, special events, etc.)

It's true that some of the other software platforms like Mindbody have a lot of the features we have, but the problem is that they're very complicated to use! You have to spend hours on end learning the ins and outs and then training your staff members. Then you have the same problem teaching your clients and helping them with their bookings and managing their accounts! WellnessLiving is a lot newer and specifically designed for ease-of-use, so that means less of your valuable time spent working on your software and more time with your business. I see you mentioned some challenges with appointments or special events and I am really interested in knowing how we can improve our software for your business. ### "Wellness Living - Easy and Powerful"

Besides all the great features of the Wellness Living software, the other over-the-top fabulous thing about switching to Wellness Living has been the way they take such great care of me. Wellness Living made it easy for me to switch to them. And, they provide an ongoing level of customer support that is really game-changing. I feel like they really care about my success. That is so refreshing in today's world.

Pros

For me, the biggest pros: - the system makes it so easy to communicate with my clients (yoga students), so it improves my overall customer service with my clients to a level I did not expect. - the Wellness Living system has improved communications between me as the yoga studio owner and my staff. Things like Tasks, Notes, Push notifications, and emails. - There are so many ways to configure things, it has helped our front desk check-in process considerably. - Clients are using our Wellness Living customer branded app at a level that is so helpful, it makes our lives easier.

Cons

I hope Wellness Living will continue to improve their Achieve app. This app can be so valuable for a yoga studio because everyone is getting so used to using apps now, and most apps having a similar way of navigating, so it can make it so new yoga teachers can learn how to do things with the ap very quickly, which will allow the yoga teacher to handle the check-in of a busy class more easily. Also, I hope Wellness Living increases their options for payment at the yoga studio front desk, as well as makes it more streamlined. My dream is that it is super simple for a yoga student to buy a water or rent a mat or towel, and we can charge them for it with just a few clicks or scans. The process for that works fine now, just every time saver is a big help in those 15 minutes before a yoga class starts and all the students are arriving.

At first I thought, Mindbody is getting so expensive, and their customer support is so disorganized, I want to try something else. And I thought "maybe it won't be as good, but if it's cheaper, at least I am saving money." Wellness Living has turned out to be less expensive and more importantly - BETTER. You might think, how can that be? I think the big thing is that Wellness Living is very focused on what they do - support yoga and fitness studios. And so I think they are able to operate with an efficiency that makes them a great value.

### "I LOVE This Software! "

Overall I am completely happy with this product. It makes it so easy to run my business. It takes out all of the stress!

Pros

I love the ease of use. I was so scared to launch my business online and Wellness Living has made it SO easy and took my fear right out of it. Being able to upload videos for my clients to complete on their own, with my scheduled program is huge for me. It gives them so much more for their money. I also love that there is an app for them to easily join their virtual sessions and see their calendar. It also makes it so easy for me to track my payments, reschedule clients and not to mention booking appointments and processing transactions is super easy!

Cons

There is only one thing I don't like, and that's my inability to see what videos are in specific video categories for each client. Each one of my clients has their own "Category" folder, it would be nice if I could open them on my back end and see exactly what is in each folder when I switch up my programming.

### "Clunky software, dishonesty - all they care about is making the sale."

Shocking. Make sure you try this product before you commit to it.

Pros

Retention reporting feature is well thought out.If your business model aligns with the system, I am sure it would be great, if it doesn't, expect headaches.

Cons

Overall culture of dishonesty. Sales team told me the software had features it didn't have. I tried to work with the software and find a way around this. I couldn't. I then tried to leave the software, this was virtually impossible, the first customer retention team member I spoke to promised they would create a feature to fix the issue I had within the month & that they would get back to me, they did not get back to me and I had to follow up. This happened several times until finally I ended up being allocated to someone else. This person organised a 50% refund for me, which I am grateful for. They advised that all I had to do was re enter my card details into WL and then they would organise the refund. I did this in good faith. I was then advised that if I did not agree to continue with wellness living, I would not be given the 50% refund which had already been agreed upon! I was extremely angry about this. To receive the 50% refund, I have had to agree to stay with the software with no date to which the issue I raised would be fixed. The software is slow and clunky (2021 Macbook Pro). It regularly has glitches. It takes our customers to our competitors booking form instead of ours, if they have previously logged in with them and not cleared their cache/cookies in between. Our customers find the booking workflow/process extremely confusing which has cost us sales & time. Creating emails is a clunky process.

### "Good product- just doesn't fit our needs."

Overall, Wellness LIving is a good product and I would recommend it to someone in a studio, or individual appointment setting. Unfortunately it just did not work long term for our unique scheduling needs.

Pros

This product was a great first step for us to automate our scheduling system. It easily embedded in our website and was relatively easy for most of our school partners to use.

Cons

Our scheduling needs are fairly unique but the ultimate reason we ended up moving to a different software was because of the customizable appointments options, the automated emails (customized by appointment type with attachments), and syncing seemlessly with our calendars and our client's calendars so no one ever misses an appointment. It was also difficult with the variety of start/end times of our appointments, WL does not customize that feature.

### "Happy, Hopeful, and Disappointed"

Overall I like the software and I really want it to work well and I see the potential. However due to these random outages I'm losing faith in Wellness living and am actually regretting leaving Mindbody. Please find a way to monitor these issues to at least communicate that something is wrong to us. I shouldn't have to be on edge wondering and hoping that the zoom integration is going to work correctly or that my clients are not going to get their emails that we send through the system. I realize we are new and this anxiety could be from that...I want Wellness Living to succeed and I want them to be the answer all of us in the boutique wellness industry have been looking for. So please please please make sure your servers are working!

Pros

Our onboarding was great! The specialist who guided us through everything and through the transition was helpful and very clear. We were ready to leave Mindbody after 14 years as they stopped caring about their paying clients. The onboarding was so efficient. The software itself is SUPER intuitive and some things that took 20 minutes in Mindbody only take seconds in Wellness LIving, which I LOVE. There are intuitive features to the software that make sense and I so appreciate. The app that was built for us is wonderful! And our transition which scared me went VERY smoothly!

Cons

One day a week after our launch and everything was going smoothly...suddenly our clients could not access their virtual classes. They stopped receiving emails, pushes on their apps, etc. We had no idea what happened or what we did wrong. 95% of our business right now (during the pandemic) depends on virtual running smoothly...and I do like the zoom integration. However...after several frustrating calls with customer service no one could figure out what was going on. Four hours go by and finally after much frustration we learn that a server went down. We were told that this rarely happens and that it would be fixed. However this was after almost an entire day was spent on the phone with customer service who kept asking the same information over and over again and giving different explanations. The server situation was fixed and things were fine. I understand this can happen from time to time, but surely there is a way for someone to monitor a server like this? Weeks go by and things are running great....and then today the same thing happened! The exact same situation. We are still waiting on a call back to confirm if things are fixed. This makes me VERY nervous. As someone who relies 100% on virtual services for revenue for their business during the pandemic this creates a lot of frustration for my clients and for me. In general customer service is very kind and they try to be helpful but I have noticed with small issues I often get conflicting answers to problems.

From the very beginning, I was completely supported from Wellness Living from sales to onboarding to account management. Since then, customer support has answered every question I have had, everyone is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the software is so easy to use both on the back end and for the client. I am SO happy I switched!!!!!

The only thing that took some getting used to for me was adding photos to marketing emails. I am used to it now, but you do have to jump through a few hoops to add your own photos. The auto marketing is amazing though.

### "Glitchy and going downhill"

I used to recommend this platform enthusiastically but that is no longer the case. We are actively exploring other options.

Pros

We switched from Mindbody to Wellness Living in 2018 and for a few years I was VERY happy with them. They offer all the functionality of our old software including great features like a White Label App exclusive to our business, class & appointment booking, automatic waitlist promotion, and a built in automated marketing suite. The interface was more user friendly compared with Mindbody and it was relatively easy for our staff to pick up.

Cons

The program has become unbearably glitchy and the customer support has plummeted. We noticed that every time there was an "update," another previously stable feature would break. Now we find functionality breaking on a regular basis, even when there hasn't been an update. Tech support never has any idea what's going on and it typically takes several email exchanges to explain the problem to them. (They don't answer the phone.)The sales reporting is incomprehensible and I've wasted countless hours trying to answer basic questions such as "how much revenue did we collect today?" The marketing suite is ok but limited.The glitches have been increasingly frequent to the point where my front desk team spends the majority of their time on the phones helping our clients to trouble shoot and book their classes. This is a huge waste of our resources and becoming very expensive. My staff is growing very annoyed and would like to be able to focus on other things.

Great automation, simple and easy booking system with access for all my team. Easy to use a great for client journey especially with the white label app which looks great! Lots of training, detailed onboarding and tech support whenever required. Had a fantastic session with my Business Advisor \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] who gave load of tips I could put into action immediately to improve sales and client journey.

Pros

Team set up data migration from the previous company, fantastic feedback on ease of use of app, so much functionality and automation. Starts to become intuitive after a while. I'm really liked how it can do all of my bookings, reports and create a full client journey. Everything is in 'real time'.

Cons

So much still to learn, little errors when setting up can set me back but the customer support team have been great and advising and resolving everything! New clients who are not as tech savvy, try to sign up and get confused by clicking Facebook/Google to sign up as it the first thing they see. They forget their password/struggle and give up or phone me because they have miseed the 'Sign Up' call to action at the bottom - would prefer this to be the first prompt.

Pros

I use WellnessLiving daily to run my virtual group fitness business. It's easy for myself and my coaches to use, start classes, sign clients up, and manage attendance, and more. Our clients are also able to download the Achieve App and VERY easily purchase a membership, book a class, redeem loyalty points and write reviews. I also have a booking widget on my website that looks great and enables easy booking on desktop. One of the best things about WellnessLiving is the customer service - from day 1. The onboarding was fun and customized for my specific needs and any questions I've had since joining have been answered by the support team extremely fast. As a business owner, this is very important! Highly recommend this software!

Cons

I think there is some room for improvement with the email customization. You are able to customize a template, but I do feel it could be improved. I still use emails and do find it very easy to choose who I want to email from my client list.

### "Do not be overwhelmed by the positive reviews"

These 3 events that happened months apart from each other & the most frightening Event 1, the reports were scrambled and did not reflect accurate data. I only caught it because we had a fundraiser event that had a tee shirt pre-order, and 75% of the orders were not listed in the report. Event 2, a legitimate autopayment transaction was made at 2:30am. At 2:31am, another transaction for the same amount went through, unauthorized. They said it was my client who ran the transaction. This is impossible. When I complained again, they insisted it was our client because their IP address was associated with the transaction. They NEVER took accountability - MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM OUR CLIENT AND THEY DON'T KNOW HOW. Event 3, a client asked me to change memberships. I stopped autopay using the toggle button; she backtracked and re-activated using the autopay toggle. Between May and August this client paid NO MEMBERSHIP & accumulated a $1600 balance that never showed up on any reports. They company told me this: "the auto-renew button for the deactivated membership was turned on causing the membership to re-activate and auto-renew for the 12 months. Since it wasn't active for 12 months it accumulated all the payment." $1600 never showed up on a balance report that I ran monthly. Every month, the bank declined the transaction, and I never received a notification when I did for others. When I quit wellness living, they asked me to DELETE my first review. SO I'M WRITING ANOTHER

Pros

It was aesthetically pleasing. It was easy to navigate. It was user friendly for our members.

Cons

Half the time, support was helpful. The other half the time, they don't know what's going on because much of the glitches cannot be explained. They first make you think you're doing something wrong - you have to prove with videos and screen shots before they even look into an issue. I experienced so many glitches - little ones didn't matter - but when it involved our client's money, it is unethical for Wellness Living to exist.

As for the second event, the transaction was made at 2:31am by your client. We checked the backlog, and it turned out to be a manual transaction made from you client's profile. In terms of the final event, the memberships in your business are setup on a monthly basis with auto-renew. You turned off the auto-renew option so the membership expired. After a few months, you went back to the client's profile and turned on the auto-renew option. This automatically reactivates the memberships and accumulates all the missed payments, charging the client. We care about your business and have been working with you since the summer to resolve your issues. We never asked you to delete your review, but only wanted to know if your opinion had changed. ### "Streamlined our daily operations! "

Overall, we are extremely happy with our decision to move to WellnessLiving! It has made our daily operations a more streamlined process and condensed everything into one platform. It was a fairly easy system to learn and allows us to expand our business with new features.

Pros

It offers one place for us to be able to bill and schedule clients as well as send out reminders and marketing materials. We love the online store, inventory counter, client and schedule management, and the ability to customize every aspect to our unique needs.

Cons

The most important thing that is lacking from the software is the inability to schedule more than one trainer per session. We would love for the email marketing to be more user friendly to make formatting emails more streamlined and make it easier to send out newsletters and other important reminders. It would also be extremely helpful to be able to store files/paperwork in client profiles and have other ways to record notes from sessions.

Wellness Living has also stayed true to their promises. When I first spoke to them, they didn't have some of the things I was looking for in a software. The next time I spoke with them(6 months later), they had those things and more. It is because they actually listen to their clients' feedback. At the end of the day, we are the ones relying on the software to work, and be simple enough for us, our staff, and clients to use without any issues. It's like I was living in the street lost and wandering alone, to finding a home and a family to give me support and care. It's an extreme analogy, but in my case, it is true. I must say that I, Andrew Gordon, are speaking the words of my review-and relieved to have a place to share them. What I went trough with my old software provider was a nightmare. They left me hung out to dry, and it's a shame that I'm finding so many other stories of discontent. The truth I speak about my experience with Mindbody are documented with emails, chat transcripts and screenshots. I found Wellness Living after they had reached out to me in the past. They stepped up their game and keep getting better. So, as a consumer of software on a software review site, I feel a responsibility to honestly share what was bad about one provider and great about another. Once again, my words, my review. 1\. I love the reviews that show up as customer verified. It gives us the ability to show REAL REVIEWS from REAL CLIENTS. Sometimes, for one reason or another, there is a fake review on one of the major sites. It can be a situation that has no resolution, other than moving on. However, the review stays up, even if you protest an make it clear that person never came to your studio. Promoting the Wellness Living Reviews, which are FREE as a resource, give credibility and reassurance that the person leaving the review actually CAME to the studio! 2. I don't even use MailChimp anymore, even though Wellness Living is easy to migrate your Constant Contact and/or MailChimp into. I just love the ability to use WellnessLiving, straight from the platform, click on my clients and send out the email. On top of that, you can track the statistics of the email campaign if you wish. Again, NO ADDITIONAL COST!!! 3. While using the WellnessLiving software, I have enjoyed the ease of making changes to our business pages, such as changing our logo, website, and branding. The inner workings that we have to use as owners are easy to navigate. There are no screen that look like an error screen from one of the old IBM computers(think Load, "\*", 8,1)-yes I am that old-and so are the feel and functionality of those screens in Mindbody! 4. The widget for the staff is awesome. We can update pics, bios, etc. on the fly and it seamlessly integrates with our websites-and looks great.

If you're just starting out with client management software, I would recommend Wellness Living 100%. However, I believe Wellness Living needs a better on-boarding system with better support for clients who are deciding to switch from similar apps and software. My company recently switched to Wellness Living from another client-management software. There were some major issues when our data was transferred leading to severe client issues. After speaking with prior reps, (all who were unable to recognize the severity of the issue) we were finally sent to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was hands down the best customer service rep I have dealt with in ANY company. She acknowledged my frustration, she was patient, she listened and she was honest when she needed more time to find a solution. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]went above and beyond what I would have expected from customer service teams. Not only did she rectify every issue we had, she provided us with step by step instructions and detailed report of every change she was making. This allowed us to trust the process and be able to better communicate with our clients what had happened. Canadian company. Customer service is great. The fact that you can add goals and progress reports to your clients profiles is very helpful. Dashboard for business owner is an easy to use tool with great reports. My favourite aspect is the ability to see who owes us money on my homepage.

### "Serious Drop in Customer Service "

I’ve been with Wellness Living since 2016. The price has gone up and up and as a small business I can’t use all the functions. When I do want to get help with something it now takes days to schedule with somebody. Very disappointing. WL used to have the best customer service of anyone.

Pros

This is a highly functional software for booking, scheduling and contacting clients. They are constantly updating features and adding new functionality.

Cons

No one answers the phone anymore. It used to be that when you called there was always someone available to answer and give real time tech support. Now you have to leave a message and wait for them to get back to you a their convenience.

It was a great way to keep our clients, classes and products organized. We were able to group and analyze our clients, and their needs in order to improve our marketing and help grow our business. It was easy to use, intuitive and straightforward. It did not require a great deal of training time, allowing us to focus on our clients and creating lasting relationships with them, instead of doing administrative work. We were able to establish a professional online experience/presence and give clients more confidence. We appreciated being able to store some of the most vital and important information about our business in one central spot that was accessible with the touch of a button. Clients were able to recommend us to others and ultimately Wellness Living helped us to grow our client base. We would highly recommend the software to anyone in the fitness industry.

Pros

The ease of use and customizable options make it personal and accessible for a variety of users, regardless of technical knowledge. It is a great resource for small or large businesses. Very intuitive and straightforward. We enjoyed how quick it was to set-up new clients, products and create a welcoming online experience and presence for our business. Online tech support was extremely helpful and there were no interruptions to our service for software updates or glitches. it was very reliable and a great tool to pull reports. The data reports were easy to pull and did not require time-consuming filtering and clean-up. Tracking a client's activity was easy and clear. The pre-set tools and rules for each component of the software were logical and easy to change and modify when needed. Overall it was superior to other CRMs and a pleasure to use. Our clients enjoyed being able to leave reviews and recommendations about their experiences.

Cons

As a small business, it would have been much easier to be able to link the payment processing mechanism to Square or Dream payments. We were looking forward to the reporting capabilities of Wellness Living to help us track our revenue and without having the ability to sync with these, it created a lot of manual data-entry work. This flexibility is very important for businesses that are just beginning and not in a position to pay costly monthly fees for moneris, interac or bank machines. We felt that though it was a competitive rate for this type of software, it was a large investment for us and we wished that we could have taken full advantage of all of these functions.

Front desk ran so much more smoothly, clients were able to sign up for classes in person and virtually easier. Auto draft payments were always processed right on time. If you're nervous about making the switch, do yourself a favor and just schedule a demo. You'll be ready after that.

Pros

The branded app! I loved that it was so simple for my students to find and sign up for classes. I loved that I could also sell products and memberships through the app.

Cons

I would have liked the ability to connect to Quickbooks. And I would have liked to have had the ability to pro-rate contracts sold online or through the app without me having to manually override it.

Overall I love the company and love what WL is doing. I feel like it's a small business that grew up a bit too fast and is having to adapt to the volume.

Pros

I like the flexibility of the software. To make it work for many different types of business. Ease of use. I don't run into too many problems with customers having an issue with the product which speaks for itself..

Cons

I'm concerned with the testing cycle before rolling out updates. There seems to be too many critical business disruptions after rolling out updates. I'm not crazy about the reporting. I came from Mindbody and the reporting is like night and day. I don't find too many reports that really help me manage my business in WL. It takes me way too long just to run a KPI report. When I came on the sales person told me that WL would never charge for add ons like Mind Body kept doing which is why most people started migrating. But now I do see that WL is following in the footsteps and constantly adding more additional costs for everything. Not a fan. That being said I also don't think that the voting process for updates is working well. I see updates to things that weren't voted on and things heavily voted on for years never get implemented.
