### "Best all-in-one Platform"

My overall experience with WellnessLiving has been a good one. Any time I need help, I can call the help desk right away, if it's something that needs immediate attention. I like emailing them when I have bigger request to work on so they have time to research anything necessary.

Pros

It's so easy to use, on both the customer and business side. Once you get the set-up done very little has to be maintained. I had been using Mindbody for many years as an IC, so when I saw they had a lot of the same functions with a better cost and the program has so many options and capabilities, I knew it was the right fit for me. Everyone you speak with is helpful and caring, they want you to be successful with the program so you can be successful in your business (your dream).

Cons

My only dislike would have to be that when you are taking on the owner/business side of things, terminology got confusing. As with anything, in time the understanding comes, and it was a "user error". Otherwise, I've not had a bad experience.

### "Buyer’s Remorse"

Horrible. What’s the point of having a customer service phone number and email address if you’re not going to get back to people. I’ve been trying to finish setting up my payment processing account for the last 4 days and haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone to help me finish it. I’ve emailed several people 5 times, called 3 times and left 2 voicemails, and haven’t had any help. The one phone call I did get left a voicemail with vague instructions, and instructed me to call them back if I had questions. I called and haven’t heard back.

Pros

I liked the idea of it. It offers very similar features to MindBody, and it’s half the price.

Cons

I literally couldn’t even make it to the onboarding process. It’s not so much the software as it is the customer service.

### "A good start … not perfect "

I’m happy I found WellnessLiving for my client management system for my business. The leadership team is super friendly (Canadians duh!) and helpful. Matt, my sales rep is always willing to help out, reach out to the support team and offer. Hand. I have lots of questions and they are always happy to help. The system itself is not as perfect as I want it to be wfor the type of mobile yoga business that I have but there are SOME workarounds that I’m willing to cope with. There is a HUGE learning curve and it’s not as intuitive as I hoped it would be. I had to do a LOT of trial and error and work with support. The emailing system is lacking in options and it’s hard to set up. If you want to add a photo into your email, you need to go to an external site to add that photo. It’s just cumbersome with all these “work-arounds”. The google calendar integration is glitchy and is not a 2-way integration and doesn’t work in the way I want it to. Bottom line, it’s a nice BASIC system with lots of improvement still to be made. But they are willing to make them and they listen to the feedback and slowly adding features.

Our Business Management is simplified!

Pros

Coming from MindBody, I was concerned about migrating my data (not to mention having to learn new software). The migration team was very thorough, but after completing the process I found they missed something that I considered important. At great expense to their time, the migration team went back without question and imported the necessary information. I am very impressed with the support - they've got great people on those teams - and development. Support is always beyond prompt about getting back to me if they are not instantly available. I have also submitted a lot of feature requests, almost all of which have been received with acceptance and intent to implement. I never felt I had access to programmers, or that my opinion was valued on development items for any software I've used. This remarkable level of openness, shows a desire to truly understand what I, customer and end-user need and want for my team, and my customers. Beyond that, there is a transparency that allows me to see what priority and sequence my ideas are in for implementation. Mind blown. There is a level of responsibility akin to ownership among everyone that I talk to at Wellness Living. I never feel like a number, or that my concern is small - and this is important , because I know they don’t have a lot of music schools! You simply cannot expect or do better than that as a company.

Cons

While there are some things I dislike, I voice those, and usually get the issue dealt with or put on a list for future upgrades. I think the WL team is on the right track.

### "Stressful and major headache"

After several emails back and forth they have agreed to refund the charges that they charged without my approval but this software has been nothing but a pain since we started it. Between features and scheduling not working right and clients not being able to access the schedule we are in the process of switching services to something that will actually help my business not limit it.

Pros

I love that this software allows me to have my clients sign waivers before ever stepping into the studio and that I am able to require new clients to take our intro class before any other class.

Cons

This software is very hard to navigate and does not link well to our website. Most people who try to just see our schedule on our website end up contacting us because the system says there are no classes available which is not the case. My potential clients do not like that they have to create an account before they can see any information and payments are a hassle. We have a square kiosk in studio and while it claims to link up I have to basically use 2 systems to process the payments which is beyond annoying. To top it off I just learned that they have been charging me for online services for the last year that I've never used. You can't cancel extra services on their own or change your plan you have to call customer service and then they assign your case to a specific representative whos schedule may or may not be convenient to your own schedule.

### "The promise that never delivers but they take your money"

When I first chose this software it was for 1 reason only - the inventory management. We run a roller skate company & need the ability to have a good inventory system. So when you go to pay you have the option of choosing a skate rental & the size. I want to note that I also run a dance studio & use Mindbody software. I'm well versed in this type of software & knew exactly what I wanted based on what wasn't working for me in Mindbody. I was very clear with the sales rep on exactly what I needed. He oversold, lied & the best part is the inventory system didn't even exist to track my skates. So for three years I have to email every client weekly and ask their skate size. Do you know how inefficient & time consuming that is?! The sales rep. was happy to take my money but as we got deeper into the set up I realized that none of what I was promised was available with the software. So I wrote a review about how terrible my experience went since no one seem to care. I had transitioned all my clients over from Mindbody (that is a ALOT OF WORK) only to realize that the software offered me nothing more than what Mindbody was offering me & Mindbody was easier to use. They called me as soon as they saw the review. They promised me that if I took down the review they would work on this inventory request. So I took down the review & guess what? I STILL DON'T HAVE THE INVENTORY SYSTEM THEY PROMISED!!!! I called to see where we were at & the request wasn't even escalated 3 years later!

Pros

the who process was painful and because of the issues with the sales rep. lying about what the software does do, I was given I believe four months free. So no it wasn't an easy process.

Cons

app crashes on the regular. Bugs in the reports and they don't know why. Called 2.5 months ago why I couldn't get everyone in my groups to come out in the report. Finally someone admits there's a bug 2.5 months later that they are finally fixing. So countless hours going in and out of classes to get everyone email to email client. Completely inefficient way to run a business. Pricing options can't be extended and you have to create a whole new pricing option. It can affect pass sales so they don't allow. However; it should give you the option to override it. Monthly I'm recreating new pricing options after the sale ends and it's so much unnecessary work. Again costing me more valuable time I don't have.

The whole experience from first introductions, to knowledge sharing, sales, on-boarding, training, data transitioning, implementation and now active usage has been a positive experience. Expectations exceeded with this company and their technology, customer services, communication and we would 1000% highly recommend Wellnessliving.

Pros

Wellnessliving delivered on their intentions for the technology and some. The website for the business end is easy to use, intuitive and the Wellnessliving team do a fantastic job of monthly tech updates and communicating these updates through various channels including videos. We love the Wellnessliving Business Elevate App. It’s easy for staff to use with little or no training. Our Breathe Fitness client app, that the Wellnessliving team helped to develop, is our most favourite and effective technology. We love having happy, returning clients who can manage their own personal accounts, profiles, purchases, bookings & cancellations in advance of coming to the studio. Easy to use and keeping the technology current with the economic climate is key for us.

Cons

I honestly cannot find any fault with this technology. Easy to use and great people to work with. Very good communication.

We were looking to change from MINDBODY to a provider who’s technology, pricing & customer service was current with the economic climate, including the pandemic. Wellnessliving was referred to us. Best referral and we haven’t looked back. Our experience with MINDBODY during the first year of the pandemic was that their technology was archaic. Nothing changed, except price increases. MINDBODY did not introduce technology updates, there was a lack of communication, lack of customer service & endless hours of time wasted trying to contact the help centre. The MINDBODY website is very difficult to use as a business & very impersonal. In the 3 years we used the technology, there were no changes or new updates introduced to the user interface. After working with MINDBODY and the negative experiences our list of expectations was very long & very high for transitioning from MINDBODY to Wellnessliving, and the WL team delivered, and some. Expectations have been exceeded and we’re very happy to have made the change.

### "Don’t know if I will stay"

Going live was postponed due to items were not completed on their side and when I did fill out my sms application before we went live their system did not save it so there was a five day delay. Then the merchant rep dropped the ball and never ordered my card scanner. Can’t go live when you can’t take payments. I am very disillusioned with this company and am still contemplating going back to MINDBODY as they at least are consumer friendly as well as business owner friendly.

Pros

Initially the cost was much lower than MINDBODY. They offer the same service but just a few quirks

Cons

I have been with them two weeks and the software is counter intuitive. Too many questions to answer to book or cancel a session. Not easy to read what each item means near the clients name. Difficult to see if they paid. Too many options listed and not easy to use on my iPad. I have to go to my office site to mange checking in my clients. Not very user friendly overall compared to MINDBODY

### "Been a Customer for almost 9 years"

Overall I would not recommend wellness living. There are a lot of other options out there besides mindbody if you are looking to switch. And you won't be losing money while your paying for a service that you cannot use. Its very frustrating to us that they don't value their clients and they don't even send out a notice to let their clients know, there is an issue, we are working on it and hope to get it fixed sooner than later. They are aware of the issue but it takes 5 months to fix!! This is unacceptable. We never had these sorts of issues with mindbody. And the only reason we moved was to save money! You get what you pay for. Oh yea and that's another thing. They told us we were grandfathered into our rate only to raise the rate on us!! Again, not good business!! Take it somewhere else not wellness living!

There are a lot of great things about Wellness and made the switch from Mindbody.

Cons

In the beginning they were a start up company and still working out some bugs when we made the switch. Things were fine for awhile. However, after the ongoing issues we have had honestly we will most likely be making a change sooner than later. Every business is bound to have a few hang ups and things that need to be adjusted here or there. But this last issue they have had is a HUGE problem and has cost clientele and new members. It started in Nov of 2022 and they still have not taken care of the bug issue 5 months later. Now they say it will be fixed in April. I would not even have known this was an issue if it was brought to my attention by new potential clients! Who now I may lose because they still don't have this issue corrected. We stayed with them because overall the customer experience has been good and they have tried to address issues when they arose but when it comes to BIG problems like this they just push you off and say "oh we will fix it" and 5 months later while I am losing money in my business and clientele they say they will consider some sort of reimbursement. I am paying monthly for a service I cannot even use and has been unusable since November of 2022. They tell me now that the update (coming in April while I am losing business, in my busy months because the system is not updated yet) should correct the issues. Will it? this isn't the first time that wellness had a problem that took months to fix.

Please know that we made a full solution available not long after this issue was first reported in November using the Forms feature, which is included in your plan. The process is fast and simple, all you need to do is create a Form and associate it to your Memberships. We notified affected users through Support as well as on our Community Forum, and it's unfortunate as it appears you were not made aware. I also see that you are currently in touch with one of the senior representatives on our Support team. ### "Glad I made the switch!"

Me experience has been great with WellnessLiving so far! They were extremely helpful from the minute I started my system set up. They held my hand every step of the way with an specific person to contact throughout my entire on-boarding process (which they allowed at least a month for) and have been great about following up to make sure things are still going smoothly. My clients LOVE the app and say it's so much easier to use than our last software.

Pros

This software offers so many integrations in one place! I have use POS and scheduling software on BOTH ends of the spectrum- from MindBody to ScheduleBliss and feel that WellnessLiving is the best of all worlds! On the customer side of the software, it looks great, is super easy to use, and allows individual management of client interface. On the business side of the software, it is fully integrated, allows changes to be made quickly and with ease, I can see all studio schedules (private sessions, classes, massage bookings, etc) and am able to track sales, new leads, and many other marketing integrations. When I do get myself into trouble (It is often because I am trying to make the software more difficult that it actually is) customer service is always there and always helpful within 24 hours, often less, and often follows up even after the problem is resolved.

Cons

This software is larger that what I was used to using and I sometimes get lost in all of the integrations. It is a MASSIVE program (which is great!) similar to MindBody, and I am still not using all of the amazing bells and whistles.

Reason for choosing WellnessLiving

Customer service ALL THE WAY. They made me feel comfortable and feel that they knew what a big undertaking it would be to switch software and were going to hold my hand the entire way!

I've had a great experience with Wellness Living. I need a lot of tech support - the system has so much capability and I've had to grow into using many of the features. I love that tech support is always available and so willing to help me.

Pros

From sales to on-boarding to tech support, I’ve been so pleased with Wellness Living. The sales + marketing automations have improved my client acquisition + retention numbers. The FitVid product has been a great value add for my clients. And the tech support team is so helpful. I’d recommend WL to any boutique fitness studio.

Cons

I often need the direct booking link to my events. I'd love for that to be available from the All Events Menu/Page rather than having to click through and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Cheaper than Mindbody. Still not cheap. Adequate user interface (again, better than Mindbody). But no responsive design (why not?!) after 3 years. Sloooooow. But cheaper than Mindbody. I'm updating this review because a potential deal-breaker (their waiver / self-registration system) (we've been asking for changes for 2+ years) seems to be coming to some sort of resolution / development tasks seem to finally be happening. If protection from liability / a decent waiver system is important to you, I suggest holding off until these changes have been implemented. To give you some idea of how drastically broken the system is currently: -A parent cannot sigh a waiver for a child that exists on the parent's account / has a "child" relationship! That is to say, you are prevented from signing a waiver on behalf of a child. This makes absolutely no sense to me, and whoever designed this needs to be taken out back behind the shed. -The waiver an adult signs will not cover any children or minors, and does not list them! -The registration process itself is broken and requires multiple steps, a separate login, and many many many clicks across different areas of an application that new users are entirely unfamiliar with. By my count, 3 "steps" in the initial client profile creation process, then a separate login, then two more clicks to navigate to the right area, then adding additional family members one at a time, with a save in between each child profile. We've had to create our own instructions for new clients on how to do this, we frequently just do it for them, we've even created our own registration app that would accomplish this in a far more streamlined way. Obviously, these are big liability issues for any business that uses them. In addition, after repeated attempts to contact and discuss issues with their core functionality--location / filters not working properly, refund credits on a parent's account unavailable for children to use, and much more--stuff that was previously working fine, but is suddenly NOT, I'm forced to downgrade my review from 3 stars to 2 stars. I see no improvements, and major risks to our business with continued use of this platform.

Pros

Initially very responsive to feature requests, bug fixes, etc. Real humans you'll get to know on their support team. Very knowledgeable about their own product. They clearly care about their product and its perception.

Cons

They frequently do not understand how their product is used in the real world. Over emphasis on things like rewards programs and their partner program, which are slightly half-baked / not very feature rich / not useful for everyone. Far less responsive than they were when we first signed on, and bugs take a great while longer to get fixed. I'm currently tracking 75 bugs and 120+ feature requests on their support page that I or my staff have submitted over the last 3 years. Be prepared to hear a ton about "other clients not needing it" if you ask for a feature that is important to your business which they disagree with. Self-registration / waiver system is utterly broken...but maybe there's hope there yet. If protection from liability isn't a concern for your business, then never mind. If it is, read on. UPDATE 9/19/2018: They are less responsive than ever, and their QE process is actively breaking the platform. They debut software rollouts with new "features" that break basic functionality, but don't address longstanding issues.

While I will not mention any names specific, I have used some of the most prominent names out there. I wanted to share some of the benefits discovered by integrating the Wellness Living Platform. 1) The platform is set up logically with a simple step by step flow that allows the user to navigate easily through the set up. 2) The program also offers a variety of tools that may be used to help control the flow of income and expenses. 3) Administration may also determine the actions taken by their associates (employees), such as access to certain areas of the platform while maintaining sovereignty in other sensitive areas of the business model. I found this to be a great advantage over other systems as it allowed more precise access. 4)From a customer point of view, the booking system is simple as it shows the dates and time available and also allows the customer to choose which therapist they wish to use. There are other advantages also such as email, reminders, thank you and simple yet powerful follow up tools that help to build relationship with customers.

Cons

Actually, there was really nothing that stands out as a reason to dislike the system. Everything takes time to build out and prepare for your company.

### "Well intended, but a disaster overall!"

Terrible. Look, I'm a positive person, and I don't say a bad thing about anyone. But I need to do my part to keep others from making the mistake we did by going with Wellness Living. If they ever find a way to fix their issues and improve there terrible customer support, then this would be an outstanding product. For clarity sake, their customer support team is full of really nice people who want to help. The problem is that if you talk to three different people about the same issue, you'll get three different solutions and maybe one of them actually works. The software is too complicated for their own people to learn.

Pros

The two things we liked most about Wellness Living, was that they were a reasonably priced alternative to the over-priced Mindbody, and that the software was presented to be very powerful with lots of features that would enrich the user experience for our members.

Cons

Just about everything, because almost nothing works correctly. Trust me when I tell you that you will pull your hair out using this software. From having to wait 5 or 10 minutes for a simple report to finish running (not exaggerating), to not being able to rely on the information in the report because it's clearly inaccurate. I honestly don't want to take the time to write about the dozens and dozens of unresolved issues we have been dealing with, but this software is a disaster! The best analogy I can think of is this. Imagine buying a new car that is supposed to have all the bells and whistles and new technology, but nothing works as intended. You go to start the car and instead the trunk opens. So you call to complain and they tell you that your "new feature request" will be noted, and when enough other people make the same request they will address it at that time. Hello! This is not a "feature request", this is a "fix your broken software request" so it works like any reasonable person would expect it to. It's unreal. I would never use WL again, and we are actively looking for an alternative.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with Wellness Living. They do a great job working with those that use their software. They know who is paying their bills. Our success means Wellness Living will be successful. They really look for ways to make me more successful and profitable.

Pros

As the owner of 3 Yoga Studios and used 4 different software packages to manage my businesses. Once I got use to the ways to use Wellness Living, I noticed all of the ways the designers have made moving between forms, client information, classes, and much more; I have to rate it the best that I've used. The biggest value is the Tech Support. They are all friendly, patient, and well versed on the software. I have raised a couple of interesting questions and if they felt they did not have the correct answer, they asked for input from their team. I've called at a busy time, left a incomplete message, only to receive a call to insure that I was helped. Lastly, each time an Update comes out, it DOES improve my ability to manage my businesses.

Cons

The only option that I have asked for was a tool / solution to manage Substitutes for Classes. I have only found one supplier do it well. Wellness Living provides a easy system to send in requests for improvements. I have raised this with them. I sense that they will have a solution out soon.

Streamlined my business and this software are integrated with my website, Facebook, a customised app, just to say the least.

Pros

Graphical interface, simplicity with managing a class, group sessions and appointments. Switching from MindBody was so easy as functionality appears to be similar but in almost every service, much better! They make it simple! Sending SMS or txt messages within Australia is included, well free, as it's bundled in my monthly fee. My team have all picked up how to use the new platform without any formal training! The support is responsive and quick, reporting is fantastic and I am finding new reports even now to help me with managing and running my business. There seems to be a higher level of knowledge within the WellNess Living support teams also, rather than just basic call centre people at MindBody that don't seem to know the product and escalate almost every time you call. I initially thought I would save money by switching to Wellness Living, and I certainly have, but I have also tightened up my cash flow thanks to the enhanced functionality, with my staff more empowered to ensure clients are paid up as well as the app allowing for very easy payment of outstanding balances in just a few clicks. Payment plan functionality is new and fantastic, so I can't forget to bill a client say every week to pay off a past debt or lump sum payment over a period of time. The interface for MindBody is old school and the accounts section gave me a headache, often with clients confused with receipts and invoices. Far prefer the new colourful graphical interface and the simplicity!

Cons

I thought being in Australia would cause concerns with support queries due to my time zone, however, the online knowledge base has been fantastic with short videos to show how to do things and because the support team have been fast, combined with having an easy transition to this new platform, I cant say this has been a real problem. I didn't realise how much I could learn from short video's, and so quickly. The customisable SMS's and emails required a little work to suit my business. I personalised the new client 'Welcome SMS' to include a direct link to a page on my website as well as include a link to an app for the "Gift Receipt" SMS and email, but I guess this would be more setup / configuration concerns that one would go through initially?

### "Great idea, not ready for release"

Great looking interface, innovative marketing tools. While it's more expensive than Pike13, it isn't nearly as pricey as Mindbody.

Cons

First of all, I hope to edit this review and leave more positive comments as WL addresses problems. My business has about 500 clients and two locations. We've been trying a number of software solutions, including Mindbody and Pike13 in detail for almost a year. WL is by far the most buggy. I feel like a beta tester. One example: Clients can't enter their birthday on the iPhone custom enterprise app. If you make birthday required, as we did, the client can't get past the registration screen to book classes. This is a simple, small bug, should have been caught even before a beta but it has cost me real money. More bugs: Gift cards aren't getting sent out. The way room schedules are dealt with doesn't make any sense. Appointment requests show up randomly. If a client is registered at another WellnessLiving business it's difficult or impossible to log out of that business and into your business. Their support website is incomplete and doesn't reflect the current version of their software. Specifically this article: https://www.wellnessliving.com/knowledge-sharing/knowledge-base/automatically-booking-assets/ and this article: https://www.wellnessliving.com/knowledge-sharing/knowledge-base/cancelling-repeating-appointments/ show available options that do not actually exist in the software. A deal breaker for some: It's almost unusable on mobile and there's no staff app. When I signed up they said the staff app would be released by end of 2017. Now they've said the BETA will be released "sometime in Q1". If I'm using their production software I don't want to know what their beta looks like. The worst part is that I'm having to convince their support team that I'm even having issues. When I found the birthday bug on the app they sent me a video of an android phone with the birthday working and said "look! it works!" I had to send a video of my iPhone with the birthday not working before they finally said "Ohhhh, we get it, it's an iPhone bug". It doesn't seem like they do any ongoing bug testing and it doesn't seem like their support staff knows all that much about the software. I've downloaded a screen capture app just so I can share my issues with WL with their support team. So why am I still using it? It's got nice design, and some elements work really well with my business. I'm hopeful these problems are just issues with the software being relatively new and they'll address my concerns. I'm worried that these issues are systemic. Right now it's hard to trust them. I haven't even migrated the majority of my clients over because of these and other issues.

### "Good Functionality"

A lot of admin has been automated (autorenewing packages, renewal reminders, etc.) THe customer service has also been excellent - quick replies and helpful/friendly staff.

Pros

Being able to book clients indefinitely in a weekly spot without having them pay is very helpful in scheduling special events for the future. It's also good to see if people have paid or not, or if there are any outstanding notes on their client file - directly on the appointment.

Cons

I've had a few hiccups with the auto-renew feature on session packages, including early renewals and application of new packages to strange dates (rather than consecutive upcoming dates). However, when I brought this up to our account manager, he was very quick to get us in touch with support to solve the problem.

### "Extremely unreliable and Very glitchy"

My companies overall experience has been terrible. While there are some things we like about Wellness Living, the bad WAY outweighs the good. We have significant problems on a monthly basis. It is literally a thorn in my office managers and my staffs side. The whole point of going with a software like this was to make my life easier not worse. We've been using Wellness Living for 3 years now. I've stuck with it this long because it is such a massive undertaking to switch to a new system. We've put so much time and effort into moving to Wellness Living and we've tried to make it work for us and live with the unreliability. The issues we've had this week are the last straw though. We are actively looking for another company to switch to. I'm not looking forward to the massive undertaking it will be to switch to another company, but we just can't deal with how unreliable Wellness Living is anymore.

Pros

I like the idea that it has the potential to streamline and consolidate a lot of moving parts that a business has into one place. Unfortunately it just isn't very good.

Cons

I can't count the amount of hours my office manager has to spend "fixing" things gone wrong on a near weekly basis. The software is extremely glitchy. We have customers being charged for things without their consent even after we have canceled recurring memberships, etc. My staff absolutely hates the mobile app. It is not user friendly at all and constantly has glitches. Customer service is horrendous. When you finally get the opportunity to talk to a real person on the phone you are likely to get nowhere. If you are fortunate (which is rare) you may be able to get someone on the phone that you can actually verbally understand. When this rare thing happens, you can actually get some issues solved.

My overall experience with Wellness Living has been excellent. I highly recommend their services!

Pros

The design team was extremely easy to work with. They listened to my wants and needs. I have over 260 pages that needed to be created and they completed the project weeks before I anticipated. Amazing!!!

Cons

The change from Mindbody to Wellness Living was a little rough. I attribute much of it to the lack of experience my team had with this type of management software. Wellness Living's customer service was excellent it helped us work through our challenges.
