Pros

My favorite part about WellnessLiving is the simple integration into your mobile phone's calendar app of choice. I use Google Calendars (even though I have an iPhone) and it's a simple way for me to check my daily schedule so I know what time my first patient will be!

Cons

I do find that online booking for my patients is challenging, mostly due to the links being unreliable. However, I like chatting with my patients before they book so I have a rough idea of what they will be coming in for, so this isn't a dealbreaker!

Wellness Living is all-round awesome - it's like hiring 3 more people to do the work I've been doing on my own, for what seems like forever. And they do it WELL. It's professional, with an approachable & accessible interface, even for clients who are uncomfortable with computers. The response from their support department is dependably fast, with efficient and effective answers and solutions.

Pros

The best things about this software are that's it's user-friendly for everyone (not just the business owner) and includes all the great features you get with other platforms (online booking, e-commerce store, client retention tools like email automation and rewards programs, etc.), that work the way they're supposed to, but are also easier to navigate, monitor and maintain. The appearance and customization allow me to direct clients to my online store and booking platform without feeling like they've left my website, which strengthens my branding, nurtures trust and keeps their experience a professional one. I love that Wellness Living has done away with all the features one doesn't need in this kind of software and optimized the features that are most useful and necessary.

Cons

Honestly, I can't say there's anything that I don't like about this software. Their development team is constantly improving and innovating, and if there's a customization or feature you want added, they take it seriously and keep you in the loop on their progress.

### "Decent software, terrible customer service. "

I liked the software. It did what I needed it to do. However, the cancellation process was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I understand contracts are signed but most companies will hear their customers out and work with them to come to a solution with contracts, especially during COVID times when fitness businesses are often struggling or pivoting to keep their lights on. The scripted conversations and lack of caring was really disappointing. I do not blame the employee for this because they are just doing their job but it was like talking to a robot. I had recommended this software to other businesses in the past and

The software did what it was meant to do.

Cons

Cancelling your membership is next to impossible. Delay upon delay and getting passed from one person to the next all while they are still charging my account then charge a massive fee to get out of a sneaky hidden term of the contract. Brutal customer service.

### "Huge revenue loss for our small business -don't consider this as an option!"

The software is fairly easy to use. The customer support staff tries to help as much as they possibly can.

Cons

If you are exporting data from a previous software the import process is a mess. That is what cost our business a loss in less than a year! If you are paying for data to be imported then it should be done correctly. I am responsible for the billing and scheduling end of the business. I spent days fixing mistakes that the wellness living team could not figure out! Clients were continually billed twice, the projected revenue reports were always incorrect which created a large financial hardship and we lost clients because they did not trust us and our software to bill them correctly. After numerous e-mails to WL they said they would investigate the situation. It is now 6 months later and not a word. They asked my business partner to take down the negative review and they would compensate us. That does not come close to the revenue we lost. As of today, they have not responded to our request for reimbursement. I have a huge paper trail of mistakes and mishandling of funds from WL. I was hoping they would do the right thing. So far, nothing. Not owning up to your mistakes (as we all make them) is not a good business practice. Since we ended our relationship with WL our company went back to Mind Body and our projected revenue is accurate, our clients are thrilled and there are no mishandling of funds! Much better software.

The software seems user friendly and allows for more customization on the backend than MINDBODY, which we switched from. Plus, the customer service is top notch - it's so easy to get ahold of the support team to ask a question, which is usually resolved within minutes or hours.

Their server seems a little slow, so transitioning between pages requires some patience.

WellnessLiving has been an invaluable resource for my business. As a business owner, the last thing I need to worry about is the stability of the software/service I use to manage my operation. WellnessLiving’s stable, rock-solid platform continues to provide Morris Music Academy with the tools we need to thrive and grow. Even in the midst of the shutdowns most have experienced the past several months related to COVID-19, WellnessLiving continues to be reliable. I don’t know how they do it…and I don’t really care. What I do know is that their product continues to exceed my exceptions. For that, I am very thankful.

I do not usually write reviews but feel compelled to help other business owners, who like myself, are looking for an alternative software to Mindbody. I have been a business owner for nearly 20 years and have worked with many different businesses and vendors. My experience with Wellness Living has been not been good. After explaining my need for business management software across several studios, and being guaranteed results, I can say that the outcome was anything but positive. It took several months to transfer the data from MBO to Wellness Living. The reports are limited and lack detail. The onboarding process and training was poor and not complete when we went live. However, the most important thing to know is that the software is excruciatingly slow; which translated to thousands of dollars in missed sales opportunities and poor customer service to our students. We only used Wellness Living for 2 weeks and they have continued to bill us monthly for each of our 4 locations, because they said we did not properly cancel their subscription. Seriously? Additionally, Wellness Living rushed us to set up our merchant accounts several months before going live without communicating to us the merchant processor would begin charging us as soon as they were set up. Canceling that account was a nightmare as well. Rather than focusing their effort providing exceptional software, they seem more focused on making money.

Pros

Integrated emails and marketing. Easy to use.

Cons

Lack of speed and lack of detailed reports.

The support team is amazing. They make sure you get the help you need and will even call you back later if they come up with new suggestions to your concern or issue.

Pros

It was easy to learn, to implement and to use on a daily basis. A schedule change was easy and quick to do which I loved. The clients loved the app and would use it to book their classes.

Cons

The app for the admin was slow and would freeze very often.

I had considered Wellness Living before but ended up with Zenplanner due to a feature they had which Wellness Living did not have at the time (can't remember what it was, though, but had something to do with payment options for clients). Wellness Living did get this feature later on and I was happy to switch.

Pros

The Software is very usable and easy to learn. I am getting everything I need to run my business at a much more affordable price. Wellness Living also made the transition from Mindbody Very easy. One of my main concerns was customer service and they have been extremely responsive and helpful every time I need it.

Cons

It has a slight delay in the software response time but nothing that causes a problem. We have also experienced a few glitches where the program needs to be restarted but again it has never created a real issue.

Pros

We switched to Wellness Living in January of 2017 and could not be happier. I had been with MBO since I opened my yoga studio, in 2004, and was looking for a better system with better customer service. I definitely found it with the WL system. It's not only a much more visually appealing system but it's also intuitive, user-friendly and incredibly easy to learn. To be honest, I was very nervous about the transition and wasn't looking forward to learning a new system and training over 20 people. But, I am so glad I did. Now our clients register for more classes online, the system is completely mobile friendly, and we love the integrated marketing emails and texts. And to top it off, the WL team is truly amazing. They know your name, your businesses, and they get back to you right away with personal videos and explanations for anything you need. They also listen to your requests. They have implemented over 25 of our requests in less than a year.

Cons

The reporting isn't as sophisticated as it was with MBO. They seem to be working on it and there is definitely room for improvement here.

### "The Idea of switching to a new software was paralyzing, but enough is enough, I could not take it an"

Pros

I felt like I was handcuffed to MindBody because all of my client and billing history for the past 4 years was in it. The idea of moving to a new system paralyzed me and I put if off several times. Then when my software company made a 60% price increase throughout the course of 1 year, and a total of 160% from when I started 4 years earlier, I was done. I contacted Wellness Living and they were able to transfer all of my client history and put it into my new Wellness Living account and I didn't lose any of those records. They worked with me to ensure all of my data was entered correctly and my system was running the way I wanted it to be and most importantly that I knew how to use the software. They have been responsive to any questions/concerns that I have had. Definitely glad I made the switch.

Cons

I would love a mobile app or if the software was more mobile friendly on the administration side. It is great for the customers though.

### "Reward Clients for Business"

Personal Training clients have control of booking their appointments around their schedule. Saves time with app on phone. Clients like reward points.

Pros

I offer incentives to my personal training clients. Clients book personal training sessions from their phone. Clients can pay for personal training sessions on app. Clients sign contracts and waivers on app.

Cons

Reoccurring weekly personal training sessions for clients did not migrate correctly from week to week. This caused some times/sessions to be double booked.

I really love how easy it is to use the software, and how great customer service reps are when you have any questions about programming!

### "Why I love Wellness Living "

Customer service has always been great. Very responsive and accommodating. They always circle back to make sure you are taken care of.

Pros

I love the fact that you can text and or email a person in class, a select few people in one class or an entire class at a time. That was not a feature in MBO and I use it every single day!

Cons

I have a hard time making mailing lists- segmenting people

There is no need to pay constant contact anymore, which doesn't hurt either. We love making it easy for you to stay in touch with your clients! We do have a feature in WellnessLiving that will allow you to create segmented lists - the function is called client groups and they are very easy to manage and use as mailing lists. ### "Easy to use for customers"

Pros

I started using Wellness Living last summer to manage classes and personal training sessions I run in a high rise. They make it very easy! The population is a bit older (60-80), but they rave about how easy the app is to use and sign up for classes. I also love how they automatically email each client asking for a review. I've collected so many without any effort which has been great for marketing.

Cons

Their payment processing partner, Paragon, is more expensive than I'd like. There are more fees beyond the 2.9% processing fee. This is the only reason I'm considering leaving.
