Overall, we experienced some ups and downs early on, but recent improvements have made a big difference. As of now, we’re happy with the product and would definitely recommend it for others in the funeral and cemetery industry. It’s become a valuable tool for our operations.

Pros

This platform has made it incredibly easy to keep everything organized in one place. It's simple to navigate and has allowed us to go completely paperless. Our family sales counselors can now write and manage purchase agreements digitally, which has streamlined our entire process and improved efficiency.

Cons

Transitioning from our old system to the new one was challenging and took some time to navigate. We’re still in the process of cleaning and scrubbing our data. However, the benefits have been worth it

Overall, my experience with PlotBox has been very positive. The system offers a wide range of reports and features that are incredibly useful in our day-to-day operations. There’s still so much to learn, and we’d definitely benefit from more training to make the most of everything the system offers. We’re discovering new tools and capabilities all the time.

Pros

We’ve been using plotbox for a while now, and it has truly made a difference in our daily operations. One of the features I appreciate most is the mapping functionality... it’s incredibly convenient for our counselors. Being able to view the sections and available spaces directly from the office has streamlined our process and made it much easier to assist families. It saves time, improves accuracy, and enhances the overall experience for both our team and the families we serve. Highly recommend!

Cons

If there's one area I think could be improved, it would be customer support. The team is always kind and helpful when we do connect, but response times can sometimes be slow. It would be great if they could expand their support staff to help speed things up a bit. Thank you.

The platform has a lot of potential and offers many helpful tools, but there are a few areas we believe could be improved to make the experience even better: Customer support: While the team is kind and helpful, response times can be slow. Faster support would make a big difference. Training: The system has so many features and reports, but more in-depth training would help us use them more effectively.

We are overwhelmed with how messy our data transition turned out. All of my offices are still relying on the old Burrowes system...entering in Plotbox is an afterthought. They know they have to do it, but it takes them down a rabbit hole every time trying to fix one customer leads to fixing others. I was led to believe this would be a much better transition than it turned out to be.

Pros

I like to be able to upload a picture of memorials and contracts on a customer's space. It is nice to be able to see the actual picture.

Cons

When I scan any info into a customer's file, it is only visible in the page I put it in. It is not available on other pages of the same customer's file. It is then difficult to find. We still have n/a showing up on our older pre-need items. I have not been able to "find" the items in our Fees area so that I can correct them.

Reason for choosing PlotBox

The rep from Plotbox assured me that they had just finished a data transfer from Burrowes Cemetery Software. They said it would be no problem to get our data. The other companies were not as positive. Well...apparently the other companies were just more honest. We also considered whether financials were offered.

Easy to use, can access the records at any time, and that I can log in from any smart phone at any time. Sensitive information is protected but can be viewed and only authorized persons have access to update it.

Pros

That I can log in from smart phone at any time. That I can search for a contract by using the customer phone number. That I can copy and paste the wording when need it.

Cons

Quotations feature, because a lot information is required. It will be nice just to have the prices available when using the quote, no need to enter customer info because if the customer wants to purchase is very easy to create a draft contract and submit it when the person pays the down payment. Some times I just need to see few prices and the faster way to view prices is by opening a draft contract and go strait to step 3 to search the prices.

The organization make the switch because only admin had access to Nexus and Admin were the only ones that enter the contract information into the system and placed the plot on hold. With Plotbox all the cemetery employees have access to create a contract, search information, and place the plots on hold.

We implemented PlotBox using a 'this day forward' approach for most of our sites and did a full data conversion at two others. Both approached had pros and cons. Day to day use of the product is easy for our users and the administration can easily see snpshots of data as needed.

Pros

Prior to using PlotBox, we relied on MSWord and Excel files to manage our diocesan cemeteries. PlotBox allows our staff to quickly and accurately obtain information on deceased records as well as quote and process new sales. Reporting is intuitive and robust.

Cons

The annual billing required a wire transfer - would be much easier if there was a local bank to mail payments.

We really needed this system. Our paper records were a mess & Plotbox provided a way to remediate our records & burial locations. Our records are now properly documented, mapped, backed up & secure with Plotbox .

Pros

Keeps records and information organized. Easy & quick data & map access. Viewing & data inputs are customizable. Map makes it easy to locate plots & share with staff & plot owners. Customizable & downloadable reports. Secure storage & backup of data. The recently provided IOS app is a great new tool.

Cons

Onboard training. Needed more time & adjusted for our needs as a stand-alone church cemetery. A practice module before & during the training would also be helpful. Would like to be able to disable unused entries &/or modules.

My overall experience has been wonderful. The support, communication, and training we received throughout the transition has been absolutley amazing. Plotbox has not only improved our day to day, but I feel it will improve our clients experience as well.

Pros

Plotbox has allowed us to go paperless and have everything at our fingertips without having to search through endless files, maps and charts. The ability to have our entire cemetery and plots digitally mapped out while out on the grouds has made a world of difference.

Cons

I am not sure I can give an honest answer for a dislike as I am still in the learning phase and do not wnat to confuse something I may not understand or haven't fully mastered as a dislike.

Plotbox is a wonderful program for cemetery data, burial bookings, memorial items, records search and map imagery. The support staff from initial Project Management, General Management, Customer Success Management, Sales and Support are wonderful. They are professional, great at problem solving, know their product very well and are also warm and approachable. Great team! Great Product! Our office is now up to date with the rest of the world and our business processes are now more streamline, take less time and provide opportunity for more innovation in our cemeteries. Plotbox enables us to provide a better service not only to our families but also to monumental masons, funeral directors and the general public.

Pros

The maps, the ease of use of modules, once we have worked out the best way to use them for our business and processes

Cons

Data fix times and ad hoc invoices re pending events issues and no we don't want contracts but would love if ad hoc invoices and pending events would work better.

Overall, we have had a great experience, our representative has been helpful and always connects even if we don't need assistance. The addition of using the "Everafter" link for our families has given them the freedom to locate a loved one at their leisure, easy to navigate!!

Pros

Easy to use, you can decide how much or how little information you would like to add. The mapping portion of the software is great, and easy to navigate.

Cons

Somewhat finicky when entering Contracts, if you skip a step it is hard to edit.

Overall it has been a positive experience. The support for converting an old process to a new digital one has been very much appreciated. When challenges arise the response has been very timely. It has made our transition from our old software to PlotBox much easier.

The records are all linked together and you can easily navigate through the information.

Cons

Photos saved to plots do not always show up on Everafter. Seems to be a bit of a disconnect.

We have streamlined a lot of our processes using PlotBox and that being said, we can do even more than we already do. From inventory to contracts management to work orders, we've implemented new and better ways to ensure families are getting what they need when they need it. At the end of the day, it's made our lives in the office and on the grounds easier, but most importantly, you can tell the impression it leaves on families. The other day when helping a husband and wife with a work order, the husband expressed he was impressed when I told him I would submit his request into our work order system and he'd receive an update from me when it was completed with 1 week. If he had instead seen me go grab a pad of work orders and fill one out by hand, I can assure you he would have probably been more nervous that that paper was going to get where it needed to go. That small difference of interface made all the difference to him.

Pros

What I like most about PlotBox is the multitude of tools that our different teams can use. I spend most of my time using the CRM as I'm in charge of preneed for our Catholic Cemeteries. However, when spending time in the office, I inevitably end up helping someone find a location or submit a work order. Most everything that we do, we can do through PlotBox, which makes for an easy one-stop location to handle any type of interaction or transaction with a family. Meaning I'm not having to do anything but spend time attending to what the family actually needs help with instead of running around the office grabbing this form or making a copy of that map.

Cons

With any software, there are always things that could be improved. For me personally, the CRM does what is prescribes in terms of task management, lead management, follow up, and even things like quotations to families, however more robust reporting and some additional process specific customization for what we do at our cemetery would be nice to haves. As it stands, it's more than suitable for our needs in it's current form.

The best thing about Plotbox is the ability to find and schedule services so quickly.

Although I understand that updates are necessary, many updates seem to disrupt things that are already working.

Pros

For us, drone mapping was very important. While interacting with the customer, this map provides an overhead view of what you see in the field. It paints a more accuracy picture than paper maps.

Cons

At times there have been tweaks that we would personally make but the team is always improving the end user experience based on feedback.

Except for having to use a third party vendor for paper to digital migration, Plotbox offered us a user friendly, quality option to manage records and inventory, track sales, reduce paper, map cemetery and allow the public to explore with user friendly gravesite locator.

Overall, I'm very happy with PlotBox. We would not have been able to successfully work remotely without using PlotBox.

Pros

PlotBox has been immensely helpful while our staff has been working remotely during the pandemic. We have been able to easily send contracts to families, look up records, confirm grave availability and issue/ transfer deeds. If I have any questions or issues with the program the customer service agents are always available to help.

Cons

I would like to see the modules a little more streamlined. Instead of putting all the decedent's information into one place, I have to go into different modules to input the information. Because we're a government agency, we have to back up all of our records due to records retention laws. It was difficult to get all of the information that we put into PlotBox into our own system.

The user friendly data entry is a plus for our team. We can enter the data, print a copy for the customer and have the contract completed in a matter of minutes. My Director of Operations, and I would prefer to be sitting in front of a customer instead of being bogged down with paperwork.

Pros

Plotbox continues to change and update periodically to make the software better. The team listens and acts promptly to the request. The software can be customized for a particular need and is completed by the Plotbox team in a timely manner. I can always get an answer without waiting days!

Cons

Entry of the date gets me. I seem to forget to enter the year 1st. Also I prefer the system to save automatically a draft of my work in case I am interrupted and fail to do so prior to leaving my office. Not much to report here.

Overall it is a very good product with great support form the team. Once you know your way round it it is a very powerful piece of kit

Pros

Personally the reporting part for managers is excellent. It is fast and you are able to remove certain fields before you run the report. It produces you a report in Excel CSV or a PDF. You can have essential information within seconds, extremely useful when in meetings and the head of service is wanting information about cremations, burials or memorial sales etc. I also like the fact you can attach documents to it such as crem forms etc. This cuts down on the archived papers that we have to keep. It is best to get into the habit of scanning everything no matter how unimportant it might be at the time, if you need to see after the event or to chase something up, it is there wothin the record.

Cons
