We are now planning to move our entire worldwide team to another platform. Zoom and Microsoft Teams are candidates. Pros They used to support this product, and it was stable. Cons Changes over the last year have led to many complaints from trainers and students alike. Changes come with very little notice and have taken away features that used to work reasonably well. Also, several of our clients are blocking access and refusing to use it. It allows me to review questions that were asked and ensure that my attendees got what they came for. Cons Lots of features, before becoming familiar with it I sometimes don't know how to do what I need to. After using it for some time, I know exactly what I can do and how to do it. Recurrent activities are super easy to schedule and that saves time and minimizes mistakes. Pros Complete reports. Easy to use. Screen sharing options. Live information about the meeting/training. Intuitive about sessions and calendars. Cons I will like to personalize more which reports or data I want to download. Also to see reports on the platform and not just to be downloaded. If you want to pop open your laptop and talk AT people, it is great. If you want to be able to share various medias - audio/video - then move on and go to Zoom or Microsoft Teams! Pros The tests are graded and results available immediately. Cons There is no way to effectively use videos during training. We use clips from interviews to show interviewing skills, techniques, etc. With GoToTraining, it is impossible. Why have a software for TRAINING that you cannot use important media to TEACH with?!? It has a robust amount of tools you can use from webcam to sharing screen to having people take control of your training. Its basically perfect for training remotely for whatever you need. Cons The least I like is the interface it looks like its from 1999 and not from 2018. If they can make the interface more 2018 that would be awesome. Pros I like the interactive elements that I have available to me to keep my team focused during the training class. While there are glitches they are few and far between. Pros GoToTraining is really easy to set up on the backend. The user interface is pretty self explanatory and it's easy to edit events and manage materials. We have a lot of instructors who use GTT from an Organizer's permissions and they have only said positive things about running trainings thru the platform; they all say it's consistent and rarely crashes. Cons GTT limits the number of webcams you can show, which is confusing to users when it is cut off after 6 max. There are also glitches with accessing the polls, which customer service has not fixed. The customer service is also poor. They are hard to reach via email and phone. I reached out back in the spring about glitches and they never followed up. Review Source NK Nick K. Pros I was an end user and not a back end user when using it. It seems really similar to GoToAssist which i do like. Cons I don't have any cons. This got the job done just like most of the remote sharing programs that are out there. Despite our limited internet capabilities in the office, we haven't experienced quality issues. It would allow users to ask questions only if they had raised their hands as well as were unmuted by the organizer. There was no outright need for sharing personal details as users joined based on their subscription to a meeting. The best part was no noise, no echo experience. Cons Switching the screen sharing from presenter to attendees. I hope I am wrong but I did not see that option available or may be it was not really immediately apparent to me. December 16, 2015 5.0 Our training team had been frustrated with the complexity of another system for several years. This past year I initiated trying something new. The company we merged with used Go To Meeting so I thought, why not explore other options it had. It had all the features we needed and the ease of setting up a training was a huge difference. Our customers had no problem with the new technology and our webinars run smoothly. We have not ventured out to use some of the more interactive parts, but the on-line or post test options are great. We even upgraded so that we can send out certificates automatically soon- so happy - no matter how many times we remind customers, we get emails that they didn't download the certificate of completion. It's so easy to use and it's fun. There are so many features you can use to get the concepts and lessons across such as screen swaps, highlighter, pens, red dots, breakout rooms (for facilitating small group activity), timer, recording sessions, webcam, and more. It's even better than a classroom with less travel time, and resources involved. Everything is virtual! It's flexible in the sense that you can plugin to a training session through your mobile phone, tablet, pc, or laptop. This method of training is a big game changer. I feel that it may be an option that will be expanded in universities and other higher learning institutions. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
