Pros every feature works and is easy to configure, it is reliable and works with so many payment gateways! The tech team really keeps up with hard to find features such as client signature on PDF invoice! that one alone is very hard to find in almost any other software without a lot of work to implement. There are many great options in regards to payment gateways, invoicing customization, and the automation requirements I need as a busy small business owner. Owner Utilities Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Beware" March 30, 2020 1.0 They lied to us and I spent a week swapping over and now going back to quick books because you can only have 300 customers with a growth of just 100 a month. So I'm being penalized for growth so no way. Pros I purchased this program to get away from quick books and after talking to them about my customer load they made it sound like it was no problem. As soon as I sent out reacurring invoices they started flagging my account saying I had to many and it was considered phishing. I'm in trash collections and have over 1000 customers that's why I paid them money so I could have unlimited. I'm going back to quick books. Cons They liked to me saying I could have unlimited customers when they only let you have 300 and can only grow by 100 a month. Pros Free tier is great for creating invoices. Even the top tier is cost effective for Freelancers or Small Businesses who need the extra features. Always being updated, it is open source so if you want to assist or add your own features you can do what you want. Cons Could use a time-tracking feature, especially if it is aimed towards freelancers who are wanting to bill their time. Pros I love that it is web-based. Also, it's a plus that it is open-source. It has got really useful features. I love that I can use it for CRM, invoicing and quotes. Clients also get their own invoice-payment dashboard too. Cons The only downside I could think of is there is no easy way to manually do curency conversion. They have an automated conversion, which works well. But, when I'm paid in a foreign currency, I need to use the currency conversion information from a different source. September 6, 2017 5.0 It does automated billing tasks that are beyond the ability of many other (much higher cost) software we've looked at. Pros It accomplishes a task (automatic, variable-sum, bank drafts) that few services can do (and those that can do it for materially more cost). It works quite well on all my devices, you can integrate it with nearly anything at this point... Cons The UX is a little wonky sometimes. More clicks/loading than should be needed to do some tasks (related to manual record entry is where I've seen it the most). I migrated THREE TIMES to V5 from V4, have been using the program in V5 and today I'm completely locked out and it insists that I need to migrate to V5. Except I've already done it and will overwrite all the data that is currently in V5. There is no customer support to call to straighten it out. The migration from V4 to V5 was a poop show. It only transferred about half of my data - the rest was completely lost. The site is fairly intuitive, so that's good. Review Source MB Michael B. This makes life a lot easier. You only have to send it once. After the first payment the client will automatically be on the billing plan until you express otherwise. Cons The interface is slightly old looking. That's probably an understatement. From a design aspect its not very modern. I could see some clients wondering if the billing system is legit or some type of phishing scheme. Luckily I haven't had any problems with that. Without any programming experience, you may utilize their server or host it on your own. They do as well provide a user-friendly mobile app that enables mobile invoicing! I honestly can't believe how inexpensive Invoice Ninja is for what it does, and if you're looking for a sign to create an account and use the service, please consider this as your sign! You won't regret it! Pros The dashboard and the way data is stored. It's SO user friendly and easy to navigate, I never had a hard time finding the information I needed. Cons I have zero complaints! I never had any trouble using the service. I guess my singular complaint is that Invoice Ninja should stop selling themselves short and charge people what they deserve to be paid because this service is great. All invoicing options are available. 100% working and reliable. Cons This is only on a selfhosted system: Automatic backup options are only possible with knowledge of SQL.
