I can make quotations, invoices, and create receipts easily without a lot of hassle. I've been using Invoice Ninja for years and plan on upgrading as soon as I have the funds. Cons Haven't found anything I didn't like yet? I think only the fact that the receipt looks a lot like the invoice (if using the free version) which has led to some confusion from my clients. Super user friendly! Pros It was very easy to implement on the back-end of our WordPress sites. It had a ton of options for payment integration which gives us and clients options. We use toggl for time tracking and zammad for tickets and all are connected with the REST API. Pros \- Its layout and the clear design - It is fast und the UI is almost completely understandable without reading the Manuel - Some very good additional features for tasks and projects Cons The documentation for self-hosting could be a bit better. Web UI is familiar to designer ecosystem and similar to that wordpress has, I think everyone feels comfortable with managing invoices / products, etc. Cons The image of a ninja in the title does not suit me very much. Pros Usually FOSS is clunky and has bad UI/UX. Invoice Ninja is easy to use, is packed full of features and has everything to run your small business finances. Cons Overall this product is great and does what I need. The only real con is really a feature request and that is for double entry accounting and Charter of accounts to make this a full accounting package, which is almost not what it was designed for. inventory tracking would be great but I think there could be a module for this already that I have just not installed. Also love the way customers can see and pay their invoices online, which also saves me a lot of time. Pros Easy to use, and comes with an API, love it! The recurring invoices & auto bill invoices are a life saver for me. Saves me a ton of time. Cons It is technically possible to write your own plugins for this software, but its very limited and hard to create a plugin. It's not easily extendable like WordPress for example. I love how easy and straightforward their software is. I set up recurring invoice feature and I do not need to worry about creating manual invoices and sending them out on time. I have gone with the hosted solution, but I was impressed by the open-source option, in case I feel the need to customize further. Support is outstanding and all feature requests are considered fairly and if approved implimented very quickly! Cons Absolutely nothing. After many many hours of use, and many many invoices put through this software, I can quite categorically say I have found not one bad feature of this software. Sure, there has been a few bugs, but thats like any software. Whenever I have found and reported bugs they have always been fixed within days, if not even hours and they are never critical enough to stop me working.
