I love that it is open sourced and even the monthly fees for the paid tiers are extremely reasonable. The software was really easy to learn and implement. The free version allows you to add your logo and even included features like recurring invoices and read receipts when a client views or pays your invoice which I didn't see in most basic tiers of paid invoicing options out there. Cons We ultimately decided to go with another software (Wave Accounting) because we needed a more robust system and wanted an accounting software to accompany the invoicing system. For basic needs, Invoice Ninja is really great and I would consider using it again. I do wish paid versions were fully white label however. I found Invoice Ninja through Zapier, and after trying multiple accounting softwares that kept givings me errors, or we're just overly complex, this software was such a breath of fresh air. Checking for double entries is easy, checking clients is easy, checking everything is quicker and easier for me to do. The learning curve is gentle when changing from another invoicing software to Ninja and the whole feel is professional yet simple and clean. Pros Clear, modern look to the produced invoice. Being able to track and automate my invoices as a small business owner is fantastic! Cons I honestly have no cons about this software as a whole. My experience has been a very pleasing one. Pros Easy to use AND includes both invoicing as well as time tracking. Cons I would love to have a Chrome extension for this. Reason for choosing Invoice Ninja I checked out loads of other options and chose Invoice Ninja for all the stuff I've mentioned + pricing. All notifications worked. It has the capacity to handle complexity and simplicity equally making it very versatile for a range of user demands. The designs are clean and sharp Cons The only drawback concerns the more complex nature of incorporating custom imagery which is unwieldy, and for people with limited expertise (me) could be quite a challenge. Luckily Invoice Ninja do provide first class support and I found they took me through the process (even completing some of it for me in places).
