### "Auvik is amazing "

January 12, 2026

5.0

best Monitoring tool I have ever used. We currently relaying on alerts as our main monitoring source, I have been using it for almost two years, but I will never think there will be better tool for same purpose.

Pros

Easy of managing devices, the user interface is cool as you can have visibility to your network in best way. Great monitoring system, alert management, great customer support, one of the best remote access tools I have ever used especially for MSPs, as it makes very easy to add/ manage different sites.

Cons

cli integration needs more improvement, the web interface for CLI doesn't support all required feature for network engineers

### "Auvik Transformed How We Manage Client Networks"

May 13, 2026

5.0

Overall, has meaningfully improved how we deliver network management services to our clients across Malaysia. Before Auvik, network visibility was largely reactive — we were often the last to know about issues. Now we operate proactively, catching problems like interface flaps, config drift, and abnormal traffic patterns before clients even notice. The platform has helped us standardise our NOC processes across all customer sites, regardless of the complexity of the environment. It is not the cheapest tool in the MSP stack, and we do have to be selective about which customer tiers we include it in to keep pricing competitive locally. That said, the time savings in troubleshooting, the reduction in after-hours emergency calls, and the professionalism it adds to our service delivery make it a net positive investment. We would recommend it to any MSP serious about elevating their network management practice, with the caveat that you need to price your packages carefully to absorb the per-device cost model.

Pros

's automated network discovery and real-time topology mapping is genuinely impressive — it saves our team hours of manual documentation every time we onboard a new client. The moment the collector is deployed, we get a live, accurate map of the entire network including switches, routers, firewalls, and even unmanaged devices. The multi-tenant dashboard is a huge win for MSP operations, letting us monitor all customer networks from a single pane of glass without constantly switching contexts. Traffic analysis (TrafficInsights) has been invaluable for troubleshooting bandwidth complaints, and the automated config backups for network devices give us peace of mind and audit-ready documentation. Alert quality is also better than most competitors — fewer false positives means our technicians actually pay attention when something fires.

Cons

Pricing is the biggest pain point — it is billed per managed device, which can add up quickly when managing large or dense networks, making it harder to maintain healthy margins for smaller SMB clients in Malaysia where customers are more price-sensitive. The onboarding learning curve is steeper than expected for junior technicians; the UI looks clean but the underlying concepts around collectors, sites, and device tiers take time to grasp. Reporting is functional but lacks the polish and flexibility we need for professional customer-facing reports — exporting and customising report templates feels limited compared to the rest of the platform. Integration options, while growing, could be deeper particularly around PSA ticketing workflows with tools more commonly used in the Asian market.

### "MSP NOC Resources Real Review"

January 12, 2026

3.0

As a help desk manager/resource who has to work after hours NOC alerts just getting to the correct place in can be hard but the feature set is amazing. It has everything we need as a small company to make sure our customers stay online.

Pros

I like how can just find all network devices and suggest what they are/what they do before I tell it.

Cons

The complicated interface can be hard to learn when coming from another platform. It was complicated for me personally never using a platform quite like .

### "Auvik rocks!"

April 23, 2026

5.0

has been reliable, intuitive, and powerful tool, great visibility and automation. I’ll continue recommending it to clients and MSPs. Simply love it

Pros

I like how easy it's to set up, there's a training portal and Knowledge Base for any doubts or concerns that I have. Easy to deploy and easy to manage, support is very responsive, alerts can be customized or leave as default, how granular permission works and all the integrations it has.

Cons

There's no way to keep historic data of network devices, if a device goes offline there's no way to track where it was connected to and makes it harder to troubleshoot.

simplifies the IT work cycle from monitoring, troubleshooting, to administration. It presents both high-level correlation and granular root causes in a single management plane. Allowing optimized decision making for both management and administrators.

Pros

The correlation between events, alerts, and granularity of reports. The customer support is top-tier and speaks to the commitment and understanding of the client-base.

Cons

Missing automation, and CVE patching. With the partner-level information about EOL/EOS devices, automation of remediation is the next-level frontier missing.

### "Constantly growing and top-notch alerting"

June 1, 2026

4.0

Really well. Just when we think a feature is not there and we can't do a certain process, it is there in the next update. Continuously growing and adding which makes us feel like we are getting a full money's worth and some.

Pros

Monitoring and alerting. Recently deployed alerting on our critical servers and network gear. Integrated easily with ServiceNow and we can be more proactive on real time issues

Cons

Sometimes the support can be unhelpful. However, communication and friendliness is always there. Just sometimes it is playing roulette to get a good or bad support person.

### "“Powerful Network Monitoring with Great Visibility”"

September 9, 2025

5.0

Overall, has given us visibility into our network that we didn’t have before. It’s helped reduce downtime, streamline troubleshooting, and improve security posture. Auvik has become an indispensable part of our daily IT operations. It saves time, reduces headaches, and gives peace of mind knowing the network is being actively monitored.

Pros

The intuitive interface makes it easy to quickly see the health of the entire network. The monitoring and alerting capabilities are excellent, and the remote access features save a ton of time troubleshooting without having to roll a truck. Reporting is clear and helps justify decisions with leadership. Customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever I’ve needed them.

Cons

The learning curve can be a little steep at first, especially when digging into more advanced configuration and reporting. Some of the licensing tiers can feel expensive for smaller environments. I’d also like to see a bit more flexibility in customizing dashboards.

### "Auvik: The best & easiest choice! "

June 2, 2025

5.0

Their support, and onboarding was wonderful. They answered all of my questions, helped us through understanding all of our logs and where to configure our devices. made it delightful to integrate into our infrastructure. I will continue using their product in the future and am now a massive advocate for it.

Pros

Our low headcount for our team makes it so that we can be spread thin from our projects and constant end user needs. We needed a monitoring solution that was something we could stand up quickly and that had all the features needed to troubleshoot quickly through our network. Standing it up so quickly while having the depth we needed was our absolute favorite!

Cons

I thought the actual dashboards to be able to display on our TV's was lacking. However, this is a feature they are currently and actively working on and so I feel this is just a temporary con, and know it will get incredibly better on this!

Alternatives considered

[Network Performance Monitor](https://www.capterra.com/p/146805/Network-Performance-Monitor/)[NinjaOne](https://www.capterra.com/p/184229/NinjaOne/)

Reason for choosing Auvik

Ease of network specific monitoring. While the others were noteworthy, NinjaOne didn't have networking as their primary focus. So networ monitoring felt like an after-thought. Solarwinds was cheaper, but would have taken so much longer to stand up and refine.

After using for a couple of years, I find it to be really useful for alerts which are easily customised and paused. We have scheduled a pause for some of or APs going offline over night when we have scheduled them to power down via the switch.

Pros

Pros

### "This is honestly one of my favorite products to use. It's the most fun I have using IT software."

January 12, 2018

5.0

Pros

is great for mapping out your networks. It's really nice to get an overall view of your networked devices and how they all connect to each other. And it's wonderful for troubleshooting outages and connection issues because you can see everything including the actual switch ports being used. But my absolute favorite part of Auvik is the discovery portion. You install the agent and it goes out and sees what networks it can see. And then it starts querying the devices with either the default credentials it has or the ones you put in yourself. And it starts building out your network. It shows you where everything is and guesses at the things, like unmanaged hubs, that it can't see. And then it finds new networks and asks if you want to scan those too and you have your main office and all the branches all in one beautiful picture with different lines indicating Layer2/Layer2/VPN/Wireless and I just find it so enjoyable. It also is great for MSPs. The billing breakdown is very nice, and it's very easy for us to have access to all our clients but then give our clients access to just their own stuff. And the notifications are easy to setup and very granular.

Cons

Honestly I have very few problems with . Sometimes it's harder to view really large networks in an easy way. I would like better options for exporting the network map but I honestly might just not understand how to use the options I have now. I would like some more integrations but they are constantly working on that, and they have already announced IT Glue integration, so it's a very small issue.

### "Good product, but engineering does not fix things fast enough"

December 22, 2019

4.0

We use this to help visualize networks during onboarding to our MSP business. We also use it to create tickets for network outages and have built OID polling for many other products (mostly storage). The length of time it takes to get enhancements (In my experience they never come) is disappointing.

Pros

The mapping, port discovery, configuration backups and overall ease of use are excellent.

Cons

Problems take FOREVER to get resolved (sometimes years). Same with feature requests. We've had many, many requests for basic functionality that never comes. Tickets for things that are supposed to work (like accurate stats for HyperV hosts) stay open with no reported fix coming from engineering. Honestly sick of spending $25k/yr. and not getting what we need. Considering alternatives.

### "Pretty good, definitely has come in handy"

May 14, 2018

Visibility and remote access, configuration storage is nice

Pros

Mapping the network is pretty great, it can be bit limited when unintelligent switches are in the network and cloud pings are very helpful

Cons

I truly needs an alert dashboard for all clients, it can be difficult to move through every client to check for alerts, especially when I am not by my email and a built in SMS server would be super helpful.

### "Auvik : Outstanding Remote Network Monitoring"

June 14, 2021

4.0

has been very good in terms of disaster management and rectifying any kind of infrastructure issue which the team encounters. If there any performance issue due to the network, we can monitor that as well and helps the business with the load tests and we can evaluate the business capability, as per the needs.

Pros

is a network remote monitoring and network management tool, which helps poll network 24\*7. It uses multiple different protocols as per the availability to poll the devices, which helps to narrow down troubleshooting when you are rectifying any issue in the network infrastructure.

Cons

If the network could be monitored via a mobile application like Android and iOS platforms, then it would have been very convenient for the network administrator to take immediate steps if needed. This way the engineers can access the infrastructure anywhere, anytime.

monitoring of customer networks

Pros

\- Easy to setup (the data collector service can run on any windows machine) - Web based client (nothing to install; does not require java) - Support is just a chat away (they answer pretty quickly) - Nice people! - NetFlow support (requires separate license, per device) - Support for 2-factor authentication - Multi-tenancy works well - It backs up copies of router configs automatically - The ability to compare 2 configs to see what changed is awesome - They support the Meraki Cloud devices - You can exclude IP ranges from scanning - You can give customers read-only access to console

Cons

\- NetFlow is locked down by public IP address; to send all NetFlow data from a single public IP you have to build a Linux VM that acts as a proxy for all NetFlow data - NetFlow support for some devices (Cisco ASA) requires a Linux VM for each device (yes, that is a separate Linux VM for each ASA; not a problem if you only have one). - the license for NetFlow on the Linux VMs is only good for six months and there is no alerting or auto-renewal (it will just stop collecting data and it may be awhile before anyone notices)

### "Auvik: Good Not Great"

March 15, 2017

is a good product with a fantastic premise, when you start to realize the full capabilities you begin to understand how it could best be utilized. Working with Auvik feels like I'm working with Next Generation technology, that just isn't mature yet. While the product is great, it still feels like it is in it's infancy, it does a fantastic job of hooking right into SNMP data that you set but there are some major downfalls that inhibit us from using it on a larger scale. The need for new features are identified quickly but implemented slowly. We've been working with Auvik for around 6 months and they still have not added; 2FA administration capabilities (cannot remove my own users devices from their accounts), Vanity URLs for site logins, RBAC (Role Based Access Control) for users and groups (no groups available at all currently, lack of multiple sets of credentials (would like different privilege level SSH logins to my devices based on group membership etc). In my eyes those features list above are must-haves before I would rank Auvik as an excellent tool, in a larger environment it's just too cumbersome to manage everything individually. Negative aspects aside Auvik blows other utilities out of the water that I've utilized. The ability to SSH into a network device from anywhere over browser is extremely convenient but the true value in my eyes comes from the configuration backups and line differentials to see what has changed. All that being said, I would still opt to include Auvik into any network I expect to manage, but so far the comments above are what keep me from pushing it everywhere, I would simply spend too much time managing the users and permissions.

### "Amazing tool that pays for itself"

May 10, 2018

Makes it much easier to identify devices, can search by MAC address, IP, manufacturer, device type, etc. Shows how all the devices connect together through a nice visual mapping of the network. We often go to for a variety of issues and to find information. One time we had an issue with a SonicWALL and we exported the config from Auvik, factory reset the SonicWALL, and imported the config with no problems.

Pros

Amazing feature set, easy to use (for users), low overhead on collector, great search options, some firewall image backups, embedded web and terminal interface for devices, nice multi-tenant environment, great visual mapping

Cons
