### "Great Network Monitoring tool"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with has been completely positive. It is a fantastic tool for network visibility and proactive monitoring. The user-friendly platform has provided us with real-time visibility to work faster through network issues. I have had some minor challenges with CLI parsing and credentials, but there are more positives than negatives to Auvik. Auvik has certainly changed the way we manage and maintain our clients' environments.

Pros

does a great job in the discovery and mapping of the network infrastructure. Site separation is one of the best features, as it easily allows for managing networks across sites. The automatic network subnet scanning feature is highly efficient, it identifies connected devices in a very timely manner while keeping the topology updated in real time. The network alerting and detailed insight into the network has been extremely helpful for preventative troubleshooting.

Cons

One of the concerns with is with the device credentials, more specifically SSH connections, as there are some CLI commands that do not translate well with Auvik, which leads to the occasional issue and has prevented the retrieval of configuration data.

### "Constantly growing and top-notch alerting"

June 1, 2026

4.0

Really well. Just when we think a feature is not there and we can't do a certain process, it is there in the next update. Continuously growing and adding which makes us feel like we are getting a full money's worth and some.

Pros

Monitoring and alerting. Recently deployed alerting on our critical servers and network gear. Integrated easily with ServiceNow and we can be more proactive on real time issues

Cons

Sometimes the support can be unhelpful. However, communication and friendliness is always there. Just sometimes it is playing roulette to get a good or bad support person.

### "Powerful and reliable network monitoring for MSPs"

February 25, 2026

4.0

The overall experience is good once the product is well configured at a client, it also integrates well with Connectwise RMM

Pros

gives a quick overall view of the network. It's great for fast troubleshooting and insight. Also, the network device config backups can be a life-saver in critical situations.

Cons

We found that support can sometime be a little slow to respond when correcting bugs liked to the GUI.

### "Nothing But Positivity!"

May 6, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with has been nothing but positive - If I run into issues, the support staff is there to answer my questions and help resolve my issues quickly and efficiently. I love the topography map and its export abilities! And I very much love the resource library and training tools available, as well as the Idea Portal!

Pros

I like that the tool is intuitive - it's user-friendly and has plenty of resources to help guide you when you're stuck. I also very much appreciate the support staff who handle chat support and tickets for a wide range of issues on the regular.

Cons

Sometimes the tool can be a little bit buggy, especially after maintenance windows.

### "Auvik is a fantastic tool to have in your stack."

July 28, 2025

5.0

is a fantastic tool to have in your stack. The software has saved me many hours of troubleshooting, configuration recovery, and looking up how to access a device (since anything CLI can be directly managed in the GUI). It is well worth the cost and effort whether you are an MSP/MSSP/TSP or managing your own network.

Pros

The pricing model, device discovery, and integrations are all top notch. This is a must have for network visibility.

Cons

There is quite a bit of setup to get everything configured correctly. It also is nowhere close to set it and forget it type tool. But then again, that would defeat the purpose of what you are trying to accomplish.

### "Auvik is amazing!"

March 17, 2025

5.0

Overwhelmingly positive! Besides the amazing product and services, the staff is amazing. I can honestly say that I've never dealt with a nicer customer service team. And even above that was the sales/onboarding team. Just a great experience.

Pros

's dashboard is an immensely helpful space to get a quick status of my network. My favorite feature is the built-in remote access to my printers and switches. Of course the best overall feature is the timely and highly customizable alert setup.

Cons

I wouldn't say this is a con so much, but for me, the network map export options are a little limited. I prefer to work with native Window apps for security reasons, but I had to link up with Lucid to get a good and useable view of my map. This could likely be an issue with my understanding of the process though.

Reason for choosing Auvik

Pricing initially. has pricing for K-12 that couldn't be beat. Also, they had negotiable terms for the trial and payment windows to match our grant funding.

### "Great tool for large network evironments"

June 18, 2025

5.0

I'm extremely satisfied with , it is a very useful tool. I would highly recommend this product to other Technology evironments.

Pros

Alerting system on critical devices within the organization allowing our company to fix the issues prior to it become a major problem

Cons

Some of the network mapping bleeds into other networks thus not giving a correct picture of that network

Alternatives considered

### "Auvik helps us Sleep at night!!"

February 22, 2025

4.0

I have an overall positive experience using and working with their support to resolve monitoring issues.

Pros

has solved a lot of monitoring issues that we were trying to centralize for a while before we started using. It allows us to rely on a product that monitors different aspects of an organization.

Cons

has a hard time logging into devices at times and setting up Smtp to have devices talk to auvik. False alerts with the auvik collector create noise.

### "Great network RMM"

May 20, 2025

5.0

Pros

Best tool for multi-vendor live network map and diagnostics there is. Filtering by Layer 3 vs Layer 2 gives you great flexibility, and historical snapshots let you see what changed over time

Cons

Some vendor support was better than others. This makes the tool hard to rely on at times. Credential management for device monitoring and administration was also a weak point.

### "Auvik is Ok, but probably wasn't for us. "

April 4, 2023

3.0

We have a distributed network and found that while it give me a lot of info, it's also a LOT of info and requires a lot of tuning to make it manageable. The costs associated with and how they price things is more than we prefer. We probably aren't the target market though and I'm sure Auvik will work out better for others.

Pros

There is a LOT of data that it captures and displays. You can see much in the dashboard and the various sub sections have a lot of detail on the individual devices.

Cons

The interface is VERY busy. To the point that there is almost too much data. It takes some work to get things in a place you want them to be and can be expensive. The interface isn't very intuitive, but it does perform well.

### "Helps Provide Solid Network Management Functions for an MSP"

March 25, 2019

5.0

Pros

The software is subscription based and only requires that a collector service be installed and running on a windows machine in the network to manage. This makes deployment quite easy and quick to put in motion. The discovery function is pretty straightforward and begins building an inventory and topology right away. Once you get managed devices set up with SNMP and login credentials, the topology starts to shape up and configurations start getting backed up. We integrate this with our PSA system and the ability to do bi-directional ticket creation and closure works quite well. This is a solid product for MSPs and makes the management of multiple customer networks workable. Support is available via chat and they are responsive.

Cons

It takes some work with the network devices to get more complex topologies corrected. Sometimes, no matter if SNMP and login is showing as correct the topology will not show accurately. Although chat is responsive for support, most of the time they will have to create a ticket for more complex items and get back with you. Large networks are hard to view i the limited space, an ability to zoom with the a mouse scroll wheel would be really helpful. Also, when searching for a device on the map, it would be nice to have it zoom into that device.

### "Auvik has enabled us to do a complete transformation of our network monitoring and management"

August 4, 2020

5.0

Most of the time we've received an excelent support on both commercial and technical sides. At the very beginning it surprised us how the people at were 100% reluctant to enable a proof of concept for a customer. Now we got used to this not being an option as we have with other vendors. Technically, Auvik has enabled us to transform a lot of our network and IT operations processes, we are more efficient and effective, both on the management and on incident response. So, even if we don't get the best licensing model, the product is worth the price. Right now we are deploying the API to automate some processes, which will increase even more the value we are getting from Auvik.

Pros

's multi-tenancy, the deployment model using local collectors, Auvik's API, and the way Auvik discovers networks and then shows the network diagram.

Cons

Being forced to get advanced traffic insight licensing for all the devices on a tenant, when it makes sense to get it only for some of them. Also, being forced to a 40 nodes with basic licensing. It would've been a lot better for us to get only 30 and maybe 15 advanced licensing add-ons. Also, having to pay licensing for customer proofs of concept. We would like to have independent roles for network, security and server managers.

Reason for choosing Auvik

We never consider another option. We chose as a complement not as a replacement.

### "Best tool we use"

January 13, 2019

4.0

We have been using this software for about a year now as a MSP. It's great. Any network issue pops up, we just go to , and we can usually pinpoint it to a specific device, or network connection. Not long ago, we had the primary DC that authenticated all vpn traffic go down. i could not remote into the network. However, we were able to use Auvik to create a new VPN tunnel into one of the servers and then get everything fixed from there. You can back up, and do change control on all your network devices. It's easily worth the cost in time saved troubleshooting issues on the network.

Pros

Great insight into all parts of your network. Allows you to open vpn tunnels into network. Great at being able to map out all devices and your network.

Cons

It's intimidating at first, until you learn how to use it.
