Customer service is great and friendly. They are knowledgeable and help you succeed. Quick responses anytime I had a question.

Cons

I wish they had a built in duplicate checker for donors who register twice. You have to run a report that shows you duplicates but it would be nice to check for duplicates without running a report.

We’ve been very happy with OneCause. Overall, OneCause has made running our fundraising auctions smoother, easier, and more successful.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly, both for our team and our bidders, and the online auction and mobile bidding features have noticeably increased our event revenue. Their customer support is responsive and helpful, which gives us a lot of confidence on event day.

Cons

My main frustration is that it isn’t easy to share or carry over information from one event to another within the platform.

### "Room for Improvement"

If it's not as intuitive if it needs to be, there should be certain things we can modify ourselves as an organization instead of having to reach our to OneCause customer service for every little thing.

Pros

Our primary fundraising event is an annual charity golf tournament. One cause is helpful because it not only tracks all our donors, it also works for ticketing and tee sheets.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as it needs to be.

### "OneCause Overview"

Overall, once you get used to the platform it is ok. It could use some improvement to make those of us that previously used eventbrite more comfortable.

Pros

I like that the platfrom allows us to have all of the information in one place. And provides you with a dashboard for you event.

Cons

I don't like how it updates every minute or 2. That feature is helpful when there is an live auction happening. However, when there is not a live event, the data should be constant. As it is difficult to look at an item and the bidder if you have to drag the bar accross, sometimes it updates and puts you back at the top of the auction box. That is very ANNOYING! Addtionally, if you can make it more intuitives that woudl be helpful. Like, who bid on what item. Or how much once person bid on all events. Also, when you dump money into our acccount. If you could lable the dump. Auction, Tickets, Suponsorships that woudl be hlepful as well.

Amazing! OneCause has helped us automate our auction process, saving time and streamlining operations, while also increasing the funds we raise through more efficient bidding.

Pros

I like the ease for staff and volunteers to enter auction information and easy for guests to bid on auction items or give a donation.

Cons

Limited options on thermometer page--prefer the total to show without looking like the last person to donate gave the entire balance. Would like to see video options added to the new platform for appeals and marketing our events.

Trying to find the proper documents for upload took longer than I would like. We need a document for upload that includes all information.

All the people were great to work with. Responsiveness was very good. Having the pay as you go option was needed with our group being so small.

Pros

We liked only dealing with URL link vs having to have people load an app. Also liked having access to support during event time range. Very helpful to speak to a person. The bidding process was very simple. The reporting was really helpful.

Cons

There might have been some misses we found like covering the sales tax. While we did find out how to manage it, we were already underway.

We have held three events and three times I have needed OneCause support due to a my user errors. The OneCause staff was responsive, immediately available and able to resolve the matter quickly so that a potential major problem was removed completely. Our events were successful, enjoyable and the culmination of hard work and a lasting partnership with OneCause.

Pros

I'm slightly technophobic but found that the OneCause fundraising platform is user friendly, intuitive, safe for donors and creates an organized approach to our fundraising event that I didn't know I needed! Donors and bidders were able to access our event with ease. From an event host's perspective, they have thought of everything and it's worth the money!

Cons

I have yet to find anything that I really dislike. If I had to choose something it would be that there were times I felt like I was left alone to figure out the learning phase. I could have used someone who would make sure I am on track to get the most out of the software and that I am reviewing all the tutorials

One of the absolute best parts of using OneCause is their outstanding customer support. Every time I’ve had a question or needed help, their team has been incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to assist. Pros

What I love most about using OneCause is how easy and fun it makes fundraising! The platform is incredibly user-friendly—for both guests and organizers. From mobile bidding to real-time updates, everything runs so very smoothly and efficiently. I especially appreciate how OneCause helps create excitement during events and keeps guests engaged. It has truly streamlined our auction process and helped us raise more money while giving supporters a great experience!

Cons

What I like least about BidPal is that uploading images via Dropbox has been a bit challenging to navigate at times. It’s not very intuitive at first, but once you figure it out, it becomes more manageable. I do plan on migrating to the new OneCause Fundraising Platform, and I understand that this process is much easier there—which I’m really looking forward to!

Pretty good thus far. I'm working with the OneCause platform for our end of year appeals so I am engaged ion learning more on how to track the donations - through the site and through our mailing we sent.

Pros

I was very impressed with the event planning capabilities of the platform - I felt that it did everything I needed and more!

Cons

I was really looking for one place to see everything I needed to go through to set-up an event. My One Cause person showed it to me, but after I had done a ton of work finding it out myself.

### "OneCause Is Great for Events"

Overall we've had a great experience with OneCause. This is specifically for our event online silent auctions, event online donations, and event check in. The check in for OneCause is fantastic and intuitive and mostly everything about the new platform is great. Inputting and packaging auction items is easy and works well, building the site is easy, etc. It all works so well and is easy to use and I think easy too from a user experience standpoint.

Pros

We switched over to the new OneCause Fundraising Platform and it is AMAZING. You can tell it was made and tested by actual fundraisers who actually put on fundraising events. The user experience is pretty great, and the customer service is incredible. I was a beta tester for the fundraising platform, and after we used it for the firs time, our customer service rep did a whole hour long breakdown with me and listened to me complain about all the things that went wrong lol. BUT THEN this year, we connected and she went down and addressed EVERY ISSUE we had had and shared whether it had been fixed or solved. They are constantly evolving and updating it. Seriously fantastic customer service. (shout out to Casey). Also our salesperson Mark, was great and we got a consultant for free when we first implemented OneCause plus waived ticketing fees. OH and the new platform has the AI Auction Description Assistant which is a GAME CHANGER. No more hours of writing interesting auction descriptions. Just click the AI generator and poof! You've got one. Most only need a few minor edits. SO HELPFUL. And check out is really a breeze with the new platform too and makes so much sense, so much easier to get people their auction items and paid and out the door.

Cons

On the one fundraising platform, electronic tickets are required, which is annoying for our older guests who have trouble with technology. So far, we have been able to work around it. Originally, you HAD to have it tied to an email address, so I literally sent electronic tickets to fake email addresses so our attendees wouldn't be bothered. Thankfully this year, they have done away with that, AND added an option to import tickets, which is really helpful. But it's just a little tricky to work around that. But the pros to the system far outway this con.

We also used GiveSmart, which we used during the pandemic in 2020-2021. I actually did like a lot of things about GiveSmart, but the backend was confusing in certain ways and the user experience could be confusing at times as well. Since our event attendees are older and not as good with technology, it was also tough as we as Admins didn't have much control over people's carts if they messed up a donation or bought something they didn't mean to. I appreciate that OneCause gives you that flexibility. GiveSmart was good, but in the end, the slightly lower cost to OneCause and the way they are constantly evolving their platform won on over.

Greater Giving, while cost effective and cheap, was a disaster. I really should have known, as we used to use Greater Giving years ago for our online forms, but after doing the demo and seeing how cheap it was, I thought we'd give it a try. ### "It'll Get the Job Done"

I would say that overall the end-user experience has been good with minimal complaints and confusion. The back-end for these systems is very confusing and takes a lot of technology understanding, Googling, calling the help center, and trial and error. There was a lot of frustration in our office as we navigated setting up the system (both years, because we unfortunately had to learn an entirely new system this year from the one we learned last year). I am so glad the events went well and the end-users were pleased with the experience, but the set-up was definitely hard to navigate. I hope the new VEC is more set-up friendly, and will integrate more of the OneCause products into one location.

Pros

The end-user experience was seamless and fairly easy to navigate. Our donors were impressed and excited about the interactivity and the ability to participate in the silent auction and get reminders right on their phones. We hosted an event last year in-person and used the Mobile Bidding Software for our silent auction, and our revenue was significantly increased because of the engagement. We then used the Virtual Event Software for an entirely virtual event this year including a silent and live auction and appeal. The engagement was great, and our live auction went far better than expected.

Cons

The fact that the Mobile Bidding Software (MBS) and the Virtual Event Center (VEC) do not integrate and the VEC was still under construction make it hard to leave a review for what I liked least. But in terms of the MBS; the software is not very intuitive and there are a lot of areas where I didn't like having to duplicate my process (like in the item vs. package). The reports you could run at the end using the MBS were really helpful, but the VEC had hardly any options for reporting and we had to create a lot of our own reports, which was incredibly time consuming. The lack of ticketing functionality in the VEC led us to use the MBS for ticketing only and then we had to comp every single ticket individually because the VEC did not allow us to upload a csv file for all of our comped tickets. There are a lot of pieces that can be improved in the VEC but they are planning to improve them as they continue to build the software. More knowledge about the system in the "help center" and "knowledge bank" would have been really great.

### "Valuable Fundraising Tool"

OneCause has become a valuable tool in our fundraising arsenal. During the pandemic the platform provided us the ability to hold all of our planned events even with the cancellation of in-person events and the uncertainty that surrounded event planning. OneCause provided the tools to enable virtual and contactless events pretty seamlessly. Our constituent base has adapted to the use of the online platform, which we continue to use with live events as well, and we have been able to grow our donor base by offering an online component to donors who cannot attend in-person events but still want to support our cause.

Pros

We purchased this software when the need for virtual events arose. We were looking for a tool to use for fundraising events that included raffles, silent auctions, registration, and peer-to-peer campaigns. The different options available within the software allowed us to tailor each event set up to our specific needs. We required a platform that would be viable for both a virtual and in-person events and would also offer options for hybrid events. The help and support available from OneCause helped to streamline the learning curve. Once we got past the learning curve, the product is easy to use. The various reporting functions were important since the software does not integrate with our CRM system. The ease of use for our donor base was a factor as well.

Cons

OneCause does not integrate with the CRM system we use, so we had to come up with a few internal workarounds to address accounting and donor contact issues. Setting up event pages is not intuitive, and I needed the help of a web developer to give the pages a professional look and feel. There is a large learning curve to be able to utilize all aspects of the software, which involved a lot of online training videos and articles.

Our overall experience has been amazing. From the technical support, customer service, and overall event management One Cause has improved our entire events process.

Pros

We started out with the mobile bidding software and it streamlined our fundraising events increasing revenue and accessibility for guests to attend globally even if they couldn't attend in person. We then moved on to include peer to peer for donor management and campaigns. This software has changed our overall event production providing a smooth process for the user and the attendees.

Cons

I think the one improvement I would suggest is having the option to text attendees through the peer to peer software similar to the mobile bidding software.

Pros

I have been thrilled with the customer service provided by OneCause. Anytime I have had a question, the person helping me via the chat feature was quick and had great answers. Cons

I would like to be able to tailor and tweak the reports a little more. We moved over from Greater Giving and while OneCause has been worlds easier to use, the reporting options are definitely subpar in comparison.

They are great to work with. The chat is great 98% of the time. I wish I didn't have to type out all my info every time I need to chat with a person. I get that they need to know who I am, but I already had to log in to get there, and if it's a generic question it can be annoying.

Pros

The customer service is the absolute best! I've had issues on their end, that they will either explain the situation or give you a work around. If it's an issue on my end that will always do their best to explain how to fix it, or what I did wrong. They even help when it's completely my error and I just need it fixed.

Cons

Sometimes I have to make workarounds to get things to do what I want/need. Hopefully the new version will help alleviate some of these things.

Pros

The onsite support at our event was wonderful. I appreciated everything the team did to represent our staff on the night of the event and offer great support to our staff and guests alike.

Cons

I am not a coder or someone as familiar with tech so having to do the design elements on our home page were assigned to someone else. Loading images for auction items after the first image feels like it should be easier.

I have loved using OneCause for our events. Setup is easy and the customer support is responsive and helpful. Our bidding and donations increased tremendously since making the switch 7 years ago. The product keeps getting better.

Pros

Customer Service! Very knowledgable staff. Very helpful on technical issues and other operational areas. I love the platform for my event guests. Most understand it easily and can troubleshoot pretty quickly.

Cons

For me, the actual adding multiple pictures for items. And, the custom pages can be a little technical for rookies.

OneCause elevated our fundraising events to a level our rural community wasn't even necessarily ready for. However, it was quickly embraced and has helped us to reach further and raise more than we otherwise could have.

Pros

Bringing OneCause as a mobile bidding platform to our fundraising events elevated our reach, impact and fundraising goals.

Cons

Initially the cost was relatively large for us as we utilized onsite support for our large gala. However, a couple years in we became incredibly confident in the set up and usage of the software and now utilize it DIY for all of our events.

### "OneCause Helps with Our Cause!"

I love OneCause! No more paper bid sheets! No more raffle tickets! Everything is on the OneCause platform where tickets, bidding, and donations are simple.

Pros

OneCause is very userfriendly and when I don't know how to do something, their training videos and websites are very helpful as is customer service when I need a little more help! We've used OneCause for over a decade and I've been working with it for the past three years for our event planning. We've had events where OneCause provided support persons and equipment and we've had events that were completely DIY. As the event is approaching and ending, I use OneCause multiple times a day to track progress and do post-event reports. Our most recent experience with OneCause was for a golf tournament (a new event for us) and integration and implementation was easy and seamless!

Cons

My only issue with OneCause is when I'm entering items for our auctions and click Save and Next, it doesn't always save my entry. It's not a deterrent, I just go about entering, saving, and entering the next item differently.

OneCause has elevated our event processes and in turn our fundraising. The next advancement they have rolled out with the new platform is truly NEXT LEVEL. It provides even more integration and opportunity for opening events to people outside the room with increased functionality and support, in addition to support features for non-event specific fundraising. The creativity and passion that goes into creating their software and services offered makes OneCause stand out.

Pros

We've used OneCause for several years on multiple events and it's such an easy platform. The team is supportive and always provides best practices to help keep us on track and making things the most effective. They stay in touch throughout the process which makes the day of easier on everyone. I like the extensive reporting options and variety of ways to export the data. The onsite staff is crucial for event success - their team thinks about events in a big picture way often enabling them to be a step ahead. They manage so much behind the scenes that keep the nonprofit members able to focus on guests.

Cons

Integration was easy and I can't think of anything that's missing for my needs.

### "One Cause Great For NonProfit Fundraising"

Overall it was a very positive experience! I loved how helpful the customer service/support staff were throughout the entire process. I would reccomend this product to other nonprofits looking fo ra software for fundraising and silent auctions.

Pros

I liked that the software was pretty user-friendly for the most part. It was nice how many different avenues they had to learn more about the software that you had purchased (OneCause University, shorter demo videos, help pages). I also loved the customer service. Any time I had a question, it was answered quickly and completely. We utilized BidPal the most for our Silent Auction fundraiser. It was very easy to understand, input items, add pictures, and price the items. The people at our event loved it once they got logged in and talked about how nice it was to know when you've been outbid, etc.

Cons

I didn't love the amount of emails they sent. There were probably 3-5 marketing emails a week. I'm sure there was a setting somewhere that I could've gone in and unsubscribed but it would be better if they didnt automatically send to you in the first place. The only other complaint that I had would be with the check-in/out app for Bid Pal. The SmartPay app was just not great. It was slow, didn't work very well, and logged us out after every customer we looked up.
