It’s easy to install and get running within and hour which was awesome. The rep shows up in person and if I need to call I can even after hours.

Pros

This is the best value for the money I’ve spent. There isn’t anything out there at beats the price. A management system, digital inspection, texting, repair information and a customer retention management tool for less than $500 per month I just can’t beat it and neither can anyone else. Super easy to navigate. It’s secure, I use the dvi feature for mobile access and it works.

Cons

It’s kind of stuck on my computer. I use mobile manager to write new ROs in the parking lot but there are times I wish I could just pop open my phone and use it online and not be tied to a computer.

Pros

The standout features of Mitchell 1’s Manager SE shop management software include its ease of use and comprehensive functionality for auto repair shops. I found it secure and easy to access the information and repair status I needed in a timely manner. I never had any bugs or issues while using the system and found the customization additions came in handy. My shop found value for the money as it was more cost effective than other solutions. A mobile access app would be a nice addition.

Cons

Limited mobile access features. An app would make the system more versatile for technicians and shop owners to be able to access info on the phone vs lugging a laptop around.

The ability to perform invoicing, procurement, estimates, profitability, accounting, repair status, all on one DMS

Cons

There are multiple entities selling Mitchell, not all Mitchell systems carry the same exact business programs

The people that work for the company are ok the software when working is ok. But if you have an actual issue with anything you're going to be on your own

Pros

When the software isn't frozen it works ok. The labor guides where easy access even though they where often times wrong

Cons

Billing department is impossible to get a hold of. I wanted to ask about some issues I was seeing on statements and have been on hold for 2 hours. I spent 1.5 hours on hold Monday before I had to give up. 2 hours the next day. I've left a message with the billing department manager several times now and still have not received a response. At this point I want to cancel my services and cant because no one apparently has the ability to do anything to your account. Well unless you want to buy more services. They are all over taking your money but do nothing if you have a billing issue apparently.

Amazing experience so far, just recently switched so there is still plenty of features I am getting used to but I have my rep if I have any difficulties!

Pros

Mitchell1 has been a great addition to my shop. Switching to this system saved me money and it has so many amazing features. Your rep comes to you to teach you everything you need to know, you can keep an eye on all your repairs at the shop, you can use their ProDemand on the phone! It has improved our team efficiency at the shop

Cons

There isn't much to criticize here about M1. Maybe if I had to say something, I wish the design on the software itself was a bit better.

Great for getting my repair shop started. Calander and scheduler where not very useful so I had other things set up for that. Updates really didn't have much in them.

Pros

The price is very reasonable for what you get. Very popular software and has everything you need to get started

Cons

Server based prevents shop owners from using off site. I own a small repair shop and have customers call me on my personal cell. I need to be able to use my software when I am out of the shop.

Not bad. It did its job. Customer service always ready to help. However. Failure to change with the times has timeslotted it for the older gen. No mobile access, very excel spreadsheet layout and no plans to change. I switched to auto leap just so i could remotely work and observe from home and be able to order parts and fix issues any time. No complaint really as Mitchell did fit a need for me but using 3rd party fill ins to do inspections, capture Vins. Was laborious.

Pros

When i started out 10 years ago it was fine. Very few changes

Cons

It never changed. Outside of ancillary things. But overall never a mobile platform

Overall we highly recommend Mitchell for their catalog of repair procedures and user interface. Searching by VIN is very useful when you’re in the middle of a job and need a key piece of information.

Pros

Our shop uses both the light and heavy duty applications daily. They’re fantastic resources for repair breakdowns and schematics. Easy to follow directions ensure that even younger techs can perform complicated repairs.

Cons

The only issues we have faced are the lack of support for some less than familiar truck makes and models, and not every brand lists standard repair times for accurate repair quoting.

Time is money in our consulting firm. I use it to operate our transport logistics. It is not very expensive yet the interface seems a little bit outdated.

Pros

The mobile access amenities enable me to monitor the position of our company fleet vehicles when I am out on an appointment with clients so that no appointment is missed.

My experience was good, not bad. Things go well with no hardships and of-course the system could be enhanced a little, especially for accelerating orders completions. Learning curve is moderate since workshops need several days of training for using reports properly. Mobile Access is basic, which is satisfying on my side. Updates need to well-applied because some of them might cause regressions.

Manager SE provides software-management system for automotive repair tasks. its organisation with the customers is fantastic and efficient. They provide good value for the money paid with security and better customisation of the services offered. Learning curve is moderate since workshops need several days of training for using reports properly. Mobile Access is

Some of the repairing procedures aren't efficiently conveyed to the customers, so filling in these faults within the system by adding more client support on the system.

Pros

I loved the ease of set up and customer service was amazing! Installed and operating in less than an hour.

Cons

Lack of inventory management. I was very unhappy with the lack of keeping accurate counts. Needs alot of work.

Overall it's been fine.

Pros

Easy to use. Fairly flexible. Easy to read, etc. Been using it for years.

Cons

Really, REALLY want it to be online! I think if Manager wants to keep in the game they will need to step up more innovations. It's not as flexible as other products, which I will be looking at this year. There have been slowdowns recently, which have been frustrating! We have used Mitchell for years, but may move on if things don't change.

Good experience. A very large company so customer service is sometimes a little longer of a wait. Overall the program has a lot of features and easy to manage and navigate.

Pros

Ease of use. A lot of options for reporting. Various account levels/ add ons to fit various budgets.

Cons

Program is very dated- feels like the user interface hasn't been updated since Windows 95. When we updated our systems we had a bit of a glitch. It was worked out but system definitely feels dated.

I have owned my auto repair shop for over 30 years. 10 years into owning the business, I was introduced to the Mitchell software. Mitchell has been there for me every step of the way and I have been able to build and maintain a solid database of loyal customers. The Mitchell software is worth every penny I have spent, and I believe my shop would not run as smoothly without it. I would highly recommend Mitchell software to any and all automotive repair shops.

Pros

The database of vehicles and parts list from the dealers is comprehensive and my go to guide for parts pricing. I am able to customize my software to best fit my company's needs. I also greatly appreciate the technical support provided to me by the Mitchell team.

Cons

There is nothing I do not like about this software, new features are constantly introduced and old features are rapidly enhanced. I LOVE MITCHELL!

Software is great, I have used it for 18 years

Cons

Billing Department took 2 years (Feb of 2017) to advise me my billing was off. Then they advised me I had to provide the burden of proof to them it has been paid. So after talking to their Rep. My account was brought up to date. No more than 4 days later I received yet another letter telling me they would gladly toss away an 18 year relationship to collect a debit that CSR assured me was paid in full until 6/20/19 Doing very rough math Silzer Auto Repair has paid Mitchell1 around 87 thousand dollars over 18 years but this was very unimportant to them

It was the software being used when I bought the shop 2 years ago. After reviewing and pricing other competitors products, I chose to stay with it and I am glad I did. It is the best performer at the price point without question.

Pros

It is easy to learn. Has all the functions that a shop needs.

Cons

Seems like it can be disjointed at times. Most modules are an upgrade option.

We did not like this software for shop management. We switch to another software to increase sales and productivity!

Pros

It did what it needed to. But that is about it.

Cons

It could be hard to navigate and stay organized, much harder to navigate. Even now we have access to the history, but you can't look up by customer name? It lookd very out dated and often lagged. Customer service and guidance from the provider was also lacking.

I have had Mitchell Manager for last 12 years and have loved it. I have switched over to SE and am now looking to find another alternative. The program itself has improved for sure but the schedule is almost impossible to use for us (it has been 4 months) It has added a lot of bells and whistles that may work better in a larger shop and would be awesome for a medical professional or lawyer (it seems to have copied there style software). The old program I knew what I had schedule at a glance and what was done. The new program is set up to utilize what you are doing at that exact moment. It is set up to schedule time of the day. I feel there are very few small shops that know that this" job" will take from 8:30 to 9:45 and the next job will start at 10. As I said it is what a doctor would utilize with blocks for each time of the day. It is even to the extent that if you slide the customer past the last slot you have set up in your program (for us 5:30) they disappear. I can not say enough how much time this has added to our day working around the schedule and trying to determine what is done and not done. I have gotten to the point that I put notes by the person otherwise you have to click on each individual to see their status. So when you have 20 people on the schedule this is time consuming. I just feel like they spent their R&D money on the program and used a different industries schedule program

This shop management software was very helpful when it came to factory information and parts list. It was nice that all of our data was backed up. I was recommended to try out this software from a relative and we were mostly happy with it for the 2 years we used it.

Cons

Our shop used this before we switched to another platform. Some of the diagrams were hard to find but with our shop working on similar vehicles everyday, our technician got used to it.
