It’s easy to install and get running within and hour which was awesome. The rep shows up in person and if I need to call I can even after hours.

Pros

This is the best value for the money I’ve spent. There isn’t anything out there at beats the price. A management system, digital inspection, texting, repair information and a customer retention management tool for less than $500 per month I just can’t beat it and neither can anyone else. Super easy to navigate. It’s secure, I use the dvi feature for mobile access and it works.

Cons

It’s kind of stuck on my computer. I use mobile manager to write new ROs in the parking lot but there are times I wish I could just pop open my phone and use it online and not be tied to a computer.

Pros

The standout features of Mitchell 1’s Manager SE shop management software include its ease of use and comprehensive functionality for auto repair shops. I found it secure and easy to access the information and repair status I needed in a timely manner. I never had any bugs or issues while using the system and found the customization additions came in handy. My shop found value for the money as it was more cost effective than other solutions. A mobile access app would be a nice addition.

Cons

Limited mobile access features. An app would make the system more versatile for technicians and shop owners to be able to access info on the phone vs lugging a laptop around.

The people that work for the company are ok the software when working is ok. But if you have an actual issue with anything you're going to be on your own

Pros

When the software isn't frozen it works ok. The labor guides where easy access even though they where often times wrong

Cons

Billing department is impossible to get a hold of. I wanted to ask about some issues I was seeing on statements and have been on hold for 2 hours. I spent 1.5 hours on hold Monday before I had to give up. 2 hours the next day. I've left a message with the billing department manager several times now and still have not received a response. At this point I want to cancel my services and cant because no one apparently has the ability to do anything to your account. Well unless you want to buy more services. They are all over taking your money but do nothing if you have a billing issue apparently.

Time is money in our consulting firm. I use it to operate our transport logistics. It is not very expensive yet the interface seems a little bit outdated.

Pros

The mobile access amenities enable me to monitor the position of our company fleet vehicles when I am out on an appointment with clients so that no appointment is missed.

Cons

Amazing experience so far, just recently switched so there is still plenty of features I am getting used to but I have my rep if I have any difficulties!

Pros

Mitchell1 has been a great addition to my shop. Switching to this system saved me money and it has so many amazing features. Your rep comes to you to teach you everything you need to know, you can keep an eye on all your repairs at the shop, you can use their ProDemand on the phone! It has improved our team efficiency at the shop

Cons

There isn't much to criticize here about M1. Maybe if I had to say something, I wish the design on the software itself was a bit better.

Great for getting my repair shop started. Calander and scheduler where not very useful so I had other things set up for that. Updates really didn't have much in them.

Pros

The price is very reasonable for what you get. Very popular software and has everything you need to get started

Cons

Server based prevents shop owners from using off site. I own a small repair shop and have customers call me on my personal cell. I need to be able to use my software when I am out of the shop.

Not bad. It did its job. Customer service always ready to help. However. Failure to change with the times has timeslotted it for the older gen. No mobile access, very excel spreadsheet layout and no plans to change. I switched to auto leap just so i could remotely work and observe from home and be able to order parts and fix issues any time. No complaint really as Mitchell did fit a need for me but using 3rd party fill ins to do inspections, capture Vins. Was laborious.

Pros

When i started out 10 years ago it was fine. Very few changes

Cons

It never changed. Outside of ancillary things. But overall never a mobile platform

Overall, my experience with Manager SE has been solid. It helps keep repair orders, customer info, and inventory organized in one place. While the interface could use some updates, it gets the job done and makes daily shop tasks much easier.

Pros

The best part about Manager SE is how easy it is to manage repair orders and customer history—everything’s organized, quick to access, and helps the shop run more smoothly

Cons

What I liked least about Manager SE is that the interface feels a bit outdated, and it can lag at times, especially with larger databases. Some features also take a while to learn

Overall we highly recommend Mitchell for their catalog of repair procedures and user interface. Searching by VIN is very useful when you’re in the middle of a job and need a key piece of information.

Pros

Our shop uses both the light and heavy duty applications daily. They’re fantastic resources for repair breakdowns and schematics. Easy to follow directions ensure that even younger techs can perform complicated repairs.

Cons

The only issues we have faced are the lack of support for some less than familiar truck makes and models, and not every brand lists standard repair times for accurate repair quoting.

It is great and I am still using their software now at AAR Auto Repair in Trenton New Jersey. It is a complete end to end service.

Pros

I loved using M1 because of How well it is able to assist me with keeping track and organizing my customers.

Cons

It took a little bit longer for me fully understand how to use everything that this software can really handle.

Customer tracking was great, recommended work/revisions are easy to track.

Cons

No online way for Technicians to communicate recommended work with service advisors and parts. Mobile App is useless. Not cloud based Additional charge for every computer that needs access to it. cannot be accessed remotely.

Overall it's been fine.

Pros

Easy to use. Fairly flexible. Easy to read, etc. Been using it for years.

Cons

Really, REALLY want it to be online! I think if Manager wants to keep in the game they will need to step up more innovations. It's not as flexible as other products, which I will be looking at this year. There have been slowdowns recently, which have been frustrating! We have used Mitchell for years, but may move on if things don't change.

I have used several different shop management and estimation programs over the years. I was pretty much strong armed and annoyed into trying Mitchell1 a traveling salesman type guy kept hounding me on the phone and came by our shop. I was using ProDemand which wasn't any better. We gave Mitchell1 a shot mainly to get the annoying vacuum cleaner salesman to leave us alone. It took a long time to figure out how to use the system, I am a diesel mechanic not a software designer. Once I did figure out how to look up a truck, it took forever. Too many fields to select to get the customer's truck to come up. We only had use for about half of what we were paying for.

Pros

The wiring diagrams

Cons

Half the time it wouldn't pull up parts I needed, some of the labor times were WAAAAAY off. It took way too many clicks to pull up a customer's vehicle when doing an estimate. We never used the billing software as quick books worked much better.

easy to use. software is fine and very easy all though I found some other companies out there that use the same layout as Mitchell and it cost half the price. Once I get out of this 2 year contract Mitchell scammed me into I will be switching.

Cons

Price is very high shop around you find out Mitchell is over priced. Also when I got Mitchell they were running a CRM special 3 months free CRM. well I used it for 6 months and then decided I was going to cancel it. Only to find out I had to cancel with in 3 month trial. So I said ok when can I cancel it I was told 1 year. 1 year came up and now they tell me ohh no its a 2 year contract which i WAS NEVER TOLD THAT. so now when my 2 year is up I will be dropping Mitchell completely.

Pros

Scheduler makes it easy to track incoming work, and the software is very easy to adapt to and use.

Manager SE has allowed our service manager to quickly schedule appointments and keep track of every customer that comes into the shop. Manager SE has made is much easier for us to group our repair orders and take care of a large number of tickets quickly.

Pros

Very simple to use. Wasn't difficult to teach the shop guys how to navigate through the software. Way more user friendly than the software we were using before Manager SE. Find, print, copy, fax repair orders with ease. Group repair orders and print R.O.s specific to one client. Simple and effective scheduling functionality.

Cons

The social CRM is too complicated to use for the average shop manager. The support is on point, but it takes up too much time to use all the features as they should be used.
