Pros It was very easy to learn. The software has very easy to follow instructions. Type in an issue and up pops a tutorial explaining how you get to that step. It has been updated regularly to provide more functionality. It is very stable and easy to use. I strongly recommend it. Pros It is very usable. The reconciliation process is easy and the reports are easy to understand. Cons I would like to see a few minor navigation changes implemented to make data updating a bit simpler. Reason for choosing TrustBooks The alternatives for my Clients were less scalable, less user-friendly, and would be more expensive on a monthly basis to use. Review Source AA Allison A. I can do my monthly reconciliations by hitting a few keys. It is very easy to use, even for someone with no accounting or bookkeeping experience. The customer service was great when I needed help getting set up. Cons I have no complaints. It was life-changing. I recommend it to every attorney who tells me that they are starting a new practice or who complains about maintaining trust accounts. Review Source HW Hunt W. Pros I switched to TrustBooks from a manual Excel Spreadsheet accounting system and wish I had done it sooner. The system is very easy to use and has made the monthly/quarterly reconciliation process much less burdensome. When I do have questions, the customer service is excellent. I would recommend TrustBooks to any law firm. We are very happy. Pros They do everything that the State Bar requires, and it is so easy. You cannot make Quickbooks do what this does. Cons It is easy. I have the top tier package which allows accountant(s) to manage and reconcile my trust account every month. Saves me a great deal of time. Pros Not being so worried about my trust accounting and staying state bar complaint. Additionally, printing trust checks. Cons Nothing as of yet. Now it's so much easier to keep my trust account reconciled without wasting valuable time. And knowing that my account is being handled the right way gives me great peace of mind. Pros You don't need to be a computer wiz to use the software! Even though I had quite a lot of information to insert when I first started using it, it was all very easy. Keeping it up to date takes no time at all, and printing a report is as easy as the push of a button. Cons I wish there was a way to print/view reports that listed the monies in trust only for specific purposes - e.g. court filing fees or deferred revenue. Removes a ton of overhead work from my secretary... and myself. Pros It's simple! The learning curve is very quick and painless. I was up and running in under 20 minutes. The reporting is the best part. Rather than generating endless printouts in Excel, I simply push a button and the report prints. Brilliant! Cons I personally would like to see more features that takes care of other business tasks that I have, but I understand that this is a "trust accounting" software. Review Source JW James W. I've had great experiences with their customer services and the monthly price is well worth the time savings it gives me. The law firm I do trust accounting for has multiple offices and the ability to have a cloud-based trust accounting platform is very helpful for that situation. Cons As an accounting professional there were times I wanted to make a change to a period that had been reconciled, despite knowing that typically doing so wouldn't be a good idea.
