And his Power Tools are like having a dozen experts built into your computer. Pros If you're an entrepreneur like me, you missed out on getting an MBA or an education in business management. I've used very expensive consultants to guide me along the way, but BizPlanBuilder is like hiring a team of experts to both educate you and guide you through your business journey. Writing a business plan and the various docs you need to effectively run your business can be mind numbing. This tool is a REAL productivity boost. Pros I like that there is a modular approach to subscribing to the different features and functions to meet the needs of businesses at different stages. I like that you can have multiple logins to collaborate at no additional charge. I like how it prompts the user for answers and then gives them the flexibility in the narrative to modify, and download in to word doc for additional fine tuning Cons Last I used it, the financial documents section for creating a forecast and the income statement and balance sheet was GREAT in that it made it simple to get started because of the prompts and default fill-in. However, I did not like that I could not download and continue to modify in an excel spreadsheet if I needed to add non-traditional expenses or revenue sources. Review Source GR Ganga R. Pros The templates were quite general to allow customization Cons Transferring spreadsheet data. Data files could not be imported from my spreadsheet. There were field size issues in movind data from a spreadsheet environment to a text environment. Plain text data dropped all of the formulae characteristics. Review Source JA James A. If they want to write them on their own, I recommend the software to them. Pros Ease of use, comprehensive explanations and suggestions how to best write individual sections of the business plan, organization of the plan to look professional. Cons Honestly, NOTHING.
