Pros We had tried three options simultaneously and picked SimpleTexting because it has so many integrations that are easy to use. We are able to do giveaway contests, collect data, it integrates with our email software - really, they are the pros and have figured out what most clients need from the start. Cons There's nothing that I dislike thus far. Technical issues can happen with any platform, but excellent customer service makes all the difference. SimpleTexting’s team consistently made me feel heard and supported, and their genuine willingness to help turned a challenging situation into a positive experience. Their wonderful customer service is what really sets them apart. Pros What stood out most was the amazingly fast response time from the customer service team. Every representative I encountered seemed to genuinely care about helping me and making sure my questions were resolved. Their support felt personal, attentive, and reassuring. Cons We experienced a few technical glitches, and waiting for a solution set me back several days. While the delay was frustrating, the support team remained responsive and helpful throughout the process. April 29, 2025 1.0 Our $295 refund request (submitted12 days after purchase) was denied based upon their small print "out" clause. As a compromise, Simple Texting did offer "extra credits" beyond the 6000 useless ones we had pre-purchased. When I went to post this review on their website I found only 5 star reviews and could not find posting access. Pros clear implementation process. fast chat response time Cons Questionable Advertising/Refund Practices 1. Website unclear about timing of texting. It infers instantaneous sending (as needed in my practice). After purchase and installation, my tech discovered that the soonest send was 30 minutes after send command (although 1st Simple Texting rep insisted instantaneous was possible. 2nd one admitted it was not. 2. On their website, "FREE TRIAL" and "14 DAY REFUND" are displayed in large text. Those courtesies are denied when pre-purchasing an annual plan. That disclaimer is listed in very small print elsewhere in contract. Pros I am constantly amazed at how this company manages to find and keep some of the most talented people who are relentlessly dedicated to their customers success. In an age when many tech companies rely on synthetic customer service driven by soulless algorithms, Simple Texting is NOT one of them. ST is real live people WITH SOULS who truly care about their customers success and will do anything in their power to make it work for customers. On top of that they are denying a full refund claiming they incurred in costs associated with my order, What about my loss after weeks of being unable to text? They said the processed was going to take 7-10 Bus days, its been three times that time now. Pros The staff is always there, at least to tell you they can't do anything. Cons Inept service, unable to port a single local number in a month. Pros Being able to text with people from our landline made communication with clients way way easier. We could log in from anywhere, phone or computer, and be connected to our business landline. Being able to send mass texts to our contact list was super helpful as well. Cons There were some lags in receiving texts sometimes. We were using the shared short code program to take consumers from a plant tag to a gardening-related website that we own. This allowed consumers to find expanded information on plants and their care, as well as drive traffic to our website. Pros Easy to use and set up messaging tailored to each keyword. Cons There were times when our auto-response messaging didn't send. Not sure why this happened on occasion. Reason for choosing SimpleTexting Our senior team members didn’t have confidence in QR codes after an unsuccessful attempt at utilizing them many years ago (at a time when QR codes really weren’t common in the U.S. and smart phones couldn’t read them without utilizing an app). The loss of the shared short code was incentive for our I.T. team to explore QR codes again, and now we are able to set them up ourselves. Review Source Ember F. It's so easy to add the shortcode and keyword to our marketing materials. The platform even integrates with our website, allowing visitors to request a download link to their phone simply by adding their number in to the appropriate field on our site. Before ST, we had to verbally explain the the download process or email download links, neither of which were streamlined solutions. Pros New keywords and campaigns are easy to set up and reporting is robust. Cons Our company has to use two different shortcodes, one for the US and one for CAN. We'd prefer to use the same shortcode for both, but the number we use in the US isn't available in CAN and has less keywords taken, so we have to stick with it. It's easy to use and an excellent communication tool. Texting is a much more efficient way of reaching partners since email is becoming a thing of the past. Pros SimpleTexting is simple to use and easy to implement in your marketing and communication toolbox. We use to communicate important upcoming events to our partners. I love that I can import lists and we don't have to use the 555888 sign up feature. I like that partners can respond back to me and if I want to, I can respond back to them. Cons Customer Service took about 3-4 days to resolve a problem for us. This is not a horrible lag of time but it would be better to have a 48 hour turnaround time. For those 4 days, we were unable to text and this slowed productivity. Also, I find it odd that all members of this software have the same number of 555888. I know people have to text in with the correct keyword but what if someone from another company accidentally types in our keyword? Does this automatically put them on our list? It hasn't happened yet but I always wondered that. Pros Simpletexting offers me an innovative and user-friendly way to share my motivational audio texts with my audience. My subscribers have expressed how easy it is to use. It is reliable and consistent in delivering the messages I schedule. Cons I've enjoyed receiving reply texts from my subscribers as it allows me to see what topics are connecting with them. However, I hesitate to respond as I know it costs me. If the intent is to have interaction with my subscribers, I do not like having to pay extra to respond to their texts. Not responding to their texts looks like I 'm not interested in their responses or I'm ignoring them. The other "wish" would be the option to add an image to my audio texts. Why do I have to use more words? Meh. Cons Texts cannot be emulated to come "FROM" our own company name or a person in our company, so many of our recipients immediately opted OUT. Also, it should be soooo simple to "replicate campaign" to send the same message again, with a few tweaks, or to a newly imported set of recipients. But no, it's a painful cut and paste each time. October 26, 2017 5.0 Pros Very simple to use online application. Their website is clean and streamlined; you simply cannot get lost on their website. The support is unbelievably great, where you can email, chat, call, and all queries are handled by the same person (no sending you off to billing for a new support person). I even received a complimentary add-on. My list of pros could go on, but you get the idea. Cons I am unable to text outside of USA, but that may be a limitation of the industry (not sure about this). We have seen great delivery and open rates with SimpleTexting and the interface is easy to navigate and understand. Pros I loved being able to create a template (and the best practices templates that are included are helpful, too). This makes sending our nightly texts as simple as a few clicks. Cons We went with SimpleTexting as a solution to texting our contacts due to the MailChimp integration. But we discovered that the integration doesn't work for many of our contacts, since we only have their phone numbers, not their emails (which are required to enter a contact in MailChimp). Even more, love the instant chat support -have used it several times. Cons Would love a few more criteria options for list segmentation, but it works fine.
