I was able to create and attend virtual classes in this Covid Pandemic it was very easy and very helpful to me because its so simple to use. I could even record pre-videos and make notes on the videos so everyone in my team can understand and have an input in our work.

Pros

The features of Adobe captive prime are easy and straight forward. Its very fun to use, from it i can choose all the types of animations and graphics to make my presentations more interesting to my teammates. It makes it easy for me to track and manage my course and the work that i have done. I really like that its also affordable, they have incredible packages.

Cons

The document editing part about Adobe is not very reliable the documents i tried to edit were messed up the whole document came back with a lot of errors.

Adobe Captivate Prime has a strong and tightly integrated course management and user management module. Courses can be easily managed and linked to users, skills, gamifications, tags, workflows, notifications, reports and so on. Adobe Captivate can publish courses to Adobe Captivate Prime easily with just few clicks. Adobe Captivate 2019 which was released in August 2018 also supports immersive learning experiences such as Virtual Reality and 360-degree videos.

Cons

Offers basic Reporting and analytics. Need stronger reporting module which enables organization to track complex learning indicators.

It is very simple to use / set up initially

Cons

Once you have mastered the basics, it is very hard to optimise​ as the support on hand is very poor and the tutorials just deal with the basics

It has helped us save time in finding and editing pix for training program development.

Pros

I am a certified EdTechnologist and have been in a Learning Leader role for last 15 yrs. I had heard great reviews of Adobe Captivate from team members/ other Instructional Designers but never got a chance to learn it. Now, just a few months back, I got a free Adobe Captivate trial offer from an eLearning website so I thught I will have a look at what it had to offer. While downloading it, I thought it would be just a Content Development tool for IDs. But it wasn't. It was much more than that! I was surprised when it gave me all the powerpoint tools + advanced picture edits + storyboarding etc instantly. I was very happy. I designed a module just for a trial after several years and I got full support from this software. A module was ready in a jiffy. In year 2000 we used to struggle with developing 1 module and it used to take days! And then I was invited to a webinar on how to use it and I got to know other features like developing brochures etc. I would recommend it to all.

Cons

The Price. Too high for Indians...especially start-ups.

Pros

I can always rely on this when scheduling my clients for their appt. I get reminders 24 hours before the appt. So I have time to prepare for them.

Cons

Nothing it's absolutely perfect! It's performed all functions and not had an error yet and it's been over year

The interface is easy to understand. I like the fact that it is a flat interface without any hidden features within nested menus. Also the benefit of not having to log out to switch from one role to another is nice. It streamlines the process. The fluidic player also allows for just about any content to be uploaded and included as part of a course.

Pros

The new social learning features are great. They give users impowerment over their learning and allow your organization to become a learning culture with a focus on informal learning.

Cons

When I updated my Adobe ID email address, I assumed my Captivate Prime email address would change as well. It did not. This is a minor point but worth mentioning.

it's useful for creating e learning courses

Pros

What's great about captivate is that it works really well with the rest of the adobe suite, so if you started your career as a graphic designer you'd be able to transition to a career such as instructional design with that background alone. It's very easy to use and pick up and if you've other e-authoring tools like storyline and lectora you'll feel right at home. Great piece of software.

Cons

I found it harder to pick up than I did storyline and I think this is because of my experience with powerpoint and the fact that I learned that first. It's also not as robust as storyline however, this is offset by the adobe suite.

Attractive and intuitive platform. The all-in-one player dubbed the “Fluidic Player” makes adding content from popular providers simple with all require plugin preinstalled(PDF, PPT, and DOCX files, and xAPI-, SCORM-, and AICC-compliant packages). Basic gamification with the ability to customize pages and complete for course completion points with co-worker is helpful feature to promote friendly competitiveness in the office.

Cons

Interactive content for Q & A, quizzes that would allow companies to check for user competency are not built into the product. Interaction from 3rd party products are available, but this is an added step and cost. Data gathered on users is limited to completion of courses and time spent on courses. This data doesn’t provide companies with knowledge of user proficiency.

The ability to create easy e-learning video tutorials

Pros

I love that it's intuitive to use. There are a lot of functions at first, but you get to know what everything is and then it's pretty easy. The ability to create e-learning training videos easily is fantastic.

Cons

There's a lot going on if you don't know what you're doing - it can get a bit confusing. There are some glitches that happen a fair bit, like freezing or shutting down on me. And the cost is pretty high.

I would purchase this software but it was up to the company for whom I work and for whatever reason,​ they decided not to purchase the software.

Pros

The potential of things that I could do with it. I especially loved the responsive capabilities.

Cons

The software has a steep learning curve and doesn't seem to have a lot in common with other Adobe products as far as technical commands and features. It's as if Adobe​ purchased the company but didn't integrate​ it with the other Adobe products.

I find the LMS capabilities straightforward and aligned with Captivate capablilities. Each interaction can be configured to be reported on to allow for powerful reporting capabilities.

Pros

I like the integration between Adobe Captivate 2019 and Captivate Prime. It allows you to seamlessly publish to the LMS from Captivate. The configuration of each course and the users is pretty usable with the means to make a course public or to assign to a class of online students.

Cons

The pricing like all Adobe software is not suitable for large organizations. I have administristered an implementation of Captivate Prime for a freelance client for several months during the rollout of a training program and it was pretty straightforward having experience the interface of many different LMS over the last 20 years.

Overall, the experience was good. Our organization has a Customer Account Success Manager who provides guidance on implementation strategy and unresolved issues.

Pros

Intuitive Saas solution that offers a great companion tool, Adobe Captivate Prime for authoring SCORM compliant content.

Cons

No training is provided to the platform for users or administrators and the user guide and simulations provided by Adobe leave many features uncovered and many questions about the system unanswered.

Pros

The new features, bookmarking and overlays, are game changers. The overlay feature allows the use of a current video, without editing the video, to make quick and easy CE content.

This is a great LMS rich in functionalities for an amazing low price.

Pros

Adobe Captivate Prime is a very robust yet easy to use LMS with all the features supporting social, gamified and formal learning today. The UI is both pleasing to Admin roles as well as end-users. Captivate Prime supports customized learning plans, certification programs and a vast library of business related courses ready to deploy. Its graphically displayed reports and ability to publish content with or without learning requirements are unique features in the market. The 30-day free trial with full access is a huge plus. I would recommend it to anyone new or seasoned in LMS administration.

Cons

The naming conventions are something to get used to, but this is likely with every new LMS.
