### "Good tool for internal training"

January 11, 2019

4.0

One of the surprise bonuses has been that the cross-device experience has been much more consistent than on some of the other platforms I have seen. Personally, anything that makes it easier to deliver to the end user is a big plus, because if they user hates it or cannot access, it does not matter how great the authoring capabilities are.

Pros

Once you get the hang of the system, it becomes a good way to make virtual education more immersive , but more interactive and to feel more collaborative. It also makes scaling learning content more efficient, with less re-work for versioning.

Cons

I think this works best for continual use programs, because there is a fairly steep learning curve for both authors and consumers. Because of that, I don't know that it would work well for one-off groups that don't have high consistency in author/audience.

### "Mobile Friendly App"

April 17, 2019

4.0

Pros

What I liked most about this software is that it is mobile friendly. I know many LMS products that are not mobile friendly and this is a huge bonus for me.

Cons

I think the functionality can be improved as it is difficult to navigate through the product at first.

### "Name Brand Advantage"

February 16, 2020

5.0

I needed to design new eLearning courses and Captivate was my solution, or so I thought. I had to spend a lot of time learning to use the software platform before I could make the templets work for me. I know learning abilities differ with each individual however, I am quiet good at learning and using new software. This did require a little more effort than originally anticipated. It got the job done but not without suffering.

Pros

The fact that it is a product of Adobe, which is a highly recognized brand associated with professionalism and quality.

Cons

Having to learn the system before utilizing the templets. The advertisement made it seems easier than what it really was.

Reason for choosing Adobe Learning Manager

Because of the Branding of Adobe I thought to go for quality and a trusted name since this was my 1st experience creating eLearning courses. I am now looking at other programs on the market.

### "Good so far"

May 24, 2019

5.0

Our Account Manager is amazing. He has been my go to for everything and has been super responsive, always has an answer or finds out for me. I wish there was an option for more training or stronger community, but our AM has been able to help me get up and running so I guess it's okay.

Pros

Easy to add internal and external people. Easy to load content and create/assign to user groups. Reports are pretty good if you export to excel and then tweak to what you need.

Cons

Confusing to get started. Bulk upload over rights everything done prior. Oops, learned that one day one by mistake. It's also confusing that Captivate is not the same as Captivate Prime. Captivate creates the content and Prime is the LMS for it. Wish the names were different because we get confused all the time as to which one someone is talking about.

### "Great LMS Platform"

January 11, 2019

5.0

I was approached by a client who wished to create a learning system to train new employees about medical coding systems. It was a very unique opportunity, and I actually knew very little initially about LMS platforms. I knew of Captivate from using other Adobe products, and began to dig into, and other similar platforms, but was blown away by how easy Captivate Prime was to administer, create content for, and really just get going. Sadly, they ended up going with a different approach, but I truly enjoyed working with Adobe Captivate, and hope to work with it more in the future.

Pros

I enjoyed how easy it was to use this system. Within a very short time frame I was able to setup a small demonstration, and learn the basics of the system.

Cons

Ultimately, I'd say the initial learning curve to everything was rather high, but a lot of that was also just learning about LMS systems in general.

### "Always Improving & Easy to get Started"

January 19, 2019

4.0

Great experience especially with account representative. They offer a personalized way to help with contracts and the system itself. Easy to get started and lots of customization possible.

Pros

Always improving and easy to get started. Lots of features to the program and customization as well as organization.

Cons

Just like any other cloud based system, there are hiccups. Adobe is always improving on this, but sometimes clients that are not familiar with cloud based systems don’t understand why.

### "Adobe Captivate Prime Review"

September 15, 2018

5.0

This learning tool suits well for small and medium enterprises.

Pros

Adobe Captivate Prime has a design that makes learning easy for ordinary people. It doesn’t have too much information on the home and main pages so it is easy to understand where you are in your current learning plan. Also has a great user experience.

Cons

It doesn't have that one-time License fee. Subscription seems costly.

### "Hit the ground running with Adobe Captivate Prime"

March 1, 2019

5.0

I was able to set up Prime for the organization, assign roles, and load courses within a day.

Pros

Ease of use, easy on the eyes, and did everything an LMS should do.

Cons

Somewhat limited number of features, compared to other LMSs, but it had everything you need and are likely to use.

### "Great LMS if your HRIS data is ready for it"

May 23, 2019

5.0

Pros

The tool offers a great set of features and offerings for a LMO. We implemented the tool and only utilized a small portion of what the tool can do.

Cons

The tool requires a clean and well-structured HRIS database to be successful. After three years of implementing the tool, we never got the HRIS data connected and operating as it should. We ultimately went with a tool offered within another HRIS suite.

### "The simplest, most effective solution for E Learning"

January 19, 2019

5.0

Learning & Development and module formation becomes a breeze

Pros

Ease of use, the impact and the options offered, both for tutor and learner.

Cons

Nothing at the moment. All seems to be good. And I see Adobe going a long way ahead.

### "Good Product but still could use a few features"

August 29, 2018

4.0

Pros

From a Manager, Learner and Admin prospective, I like the ability of the user to be able to directly provide feedback to the manager on the course. From a Learner prospective, the interface is quite nice. I am able to easily find the tools such as the calendar, catalog, job aids, etc. Everything is easy to view and navigate without having to dive into sub menus. Overall - I felt there was a good number of tutorials on each permission set, that guide you through the process if you cannot figure out where to go or what to do next.

Cons

Social widgets appear to be completely absent from Prime and social engagement with the learning content, course completions, points, etc. is a feature that is high demand for today's learners.

### "Review for Adobe Learning Manager"

March 1, 2023

5.0

Pros

Adobe Learning Manager is a powerful and flexible learning management system with an intuitive interface and a wide range of features.

Cons

One potential drawback of Adobe Learning Manager is its cost. As a premium LMS, it may be more expensive than some of its competitors. Additionally, some users have reported that the platform can be slow and buggy, particularly when dealing with large amounts of data.

### "Brilliant but needs some work on navigation"

May 29, 2019

4.0

I think Captivate is an amazing but there are enhances that could be made to make the adoption for new users better.

Pros

I love that the software gave me this ability to really design the most interactive and sometimes out of the box e-learning courses. I was able to use a multitude of different approaches to really get my learners to into the swing of the content that they were completing. I would love to see more multimedia tool being incorporated into the overall suite rather than separate sales.

Cons

The adoption of this software was not easy. I had to spend some time doing research and getting my head around all the settings that needed to be changed or steps that need to be taken to get the course exactly how I wanted it. There was no easy way to cross check my content with other inputers unless they were an Captivate user and even then they would need to give feedback via a document. The review process could have been made better much how Articulate is doing all online. I also believe that a template library would be incredibly useful to ensure that company CI is easy to follow.

### "Costly and horrible"

November 15, 2018

2.0

The worst product our nonprofit has ever used. Buggy, time consuming and expensive

Pros

They gave us a trial period. Other than that there was nothing good about this product or Adobe support

Cons

Everything. The cost was outrageous and it was difficult to use. Training was a nightmare. Many staff had trouble running remotely. Finally looking to abandon the project

### "Very reliable, but fairly closed LMS"

April 14, 2020

5.0

Pros

The design is amazing, the skill-based system is very educational, the whole experience inside Captivate Prime is very good, for the course publisher and for the students. Integration with Captivate content is stellar.

Cons

I foud it a bit difficuld to "build my school" the way I wanted with it. I believe a more integrated approach with the outside world would bring more benefits for the Captivate Prime service. For the moment, it´s great to create and deliver courses themselves, but if we want to add outside resources or integrations we don´t have too much we can do. So if you intend to make a very modern, advanced course and study experience, Prime doesn´t allow you to go too far.

Reason for choosing Adobe Learning Manager

Opposite from the question, I had to choose the competitor tool because it allowed me to do much more than Captivate Prime LMS. Captivate as an authoring tool is amazing, and that one I will buy. I´m sure in terms of authoring lessons, Adobe will continue to improve Captivate software and I simply can´t trust any other tool, Captivate software is amazing.

### "Communication between colleagues"

December 9, 2020

4.0

Pros

It is very good to be able to teach debate classes at the university since the students can participate in the class and can debate freely and a discussion is not made out of place since the algorithms help to that

Cons

Access is difficult and it is very unintuitive for people who do not use the computer a lot, because programming the rooms becomes somewhat complicated but over time you know how to do it.

### "First Time User Experience with Captivate 2019"

March 10, 2019

5.0

I own my own company and definitely was in need of software to help in content development. I was very concerned because I am not, by profession, a content developer, nor was I sure about my ability to use software to build courses. However, after buying the software, and participating in the Adobe Captivate Specialist course, I am extremely confident in my ability to build the courses I need for my clients.

Pros

The software is easy to use, preview as you go, edit, make changes, and even scrap and start again if you need. Everything I could possibly imagine to add to courses is available in this software! I found most capabilities within the system to be intuitive once you got started. This software is definitely something that the most seasoned user can manage, as well as the most novice. I am a novice with the software and the idea of building courses on my own, but am more excited since taking the Captivate Specialist Course and seeing how user friendly the software can actually be!

Cons

Just the learning curve, and that I didn't try it sooner! A few glitches that need to be dealt with if you are using HD resolution screens, as well.

### "review"

March 15, 2019

4.0

Pros

easy to figure out the feature. such as adding image and video. Knowledge checking feature is very flexible.

Cons

video usage causing glitch on training software. the embedded video size should be reduced without lose quality. it would be good to sort out the answers given to knowledge check questions. it will give indication to instructor to see weak point of training or mistake on the question.

### "Free trial a introduction"

October 9, 2019

5.0

The overall experience: Adobe Captivate Prime is essentially for Business organizations with mutable employees not for individuals.

Pros

The content is organized and well presented, my interests, Photoshop and Adobe illustrator, were in depth concise and easy to follow.

Cons

The assets needed to work through the lessons were not available to the free trial experience. Understandable.

### "What were they thinking?"

January 11, 2019

2.0

I was interested in capturing video for a video blog, but firat wanted to do some minor edits to an existing video. I couldn’t figure out how to do that. Then I recorded a new video, but to do that and then do minor edits was challenging. Removing the background didn’t work well at all. Seriously, this may have been rhe worst experience I’ve ever had with software in over 30 years of user computers on a daily basis, and I’ve used plenty of bad software over the years. Fire the user experience team that worked on this.

Pros

I was expecting more because it was as from Adobe, but the only thing positive I can say was that it was free (aI believe).

Cons

Horrible, nonintuitive user interface, tiny fonts that you can’t even see, poor performance even on a high powered PC laptop, features that don’t work properly.

### "Adobe Captivate Prime"

January 18, 2019

5.0

With Adobe Captivate, we have been able to quickly create responsive training courses for our employees. The tools that Captivate provides a layer of engagement that previous training courses lacked. The incorporation of Fluid Boxes has been instrumental in creating training for our employees to take on their mobile devices so that they can access it at anytime from anywhere.

Pros

I like the ability to customize and add javascript to allow for custom interactions. There are a lot of free tools and templates that have helped me to create courses with more engaging techniques. The integration of other adobe apps like Photoshop also help greatly to speed up my workflow and processes.

Cons

Finding support for more custom and advanced features can be difficult as the user base isn't as larger as other Adobe products.

### "great for course creation"

March 14, 2018

5.0

Our instructional designer uses this for the most part and sometimes I use it for our team when I need to create a financial webinar.

Pros

So we have an instructional designer who uses this program to create courses. The great thing is that it works well with the rest of the products that are part of the adobe suite. Furthermore it's a great asset for our graphic designer as well. It serves multiple functions and a great buy.

Cons

My only issue is that it seems to have a steeper learning curve because of all the options, this can be a bit confusing but once you get passed the initial hump it's a great tool.

### "Perceptions about Prime"

January 18, 2019

4.0

The area of online education is growing exponentially in Brazil but there are no LMS compatible with all realities. The use of PRIME would be very useful, also to design the own tool Captivate, still little known here.

Pros

Interface, functionalities, how the courses are structured

Cons

The price is very high for the school reality in Brazil. Courses would have to be very expensive to just hire.

### "Making the Switch"

May 17, 2019

5.0

We are working to bridge the gap between what gets trained (L1& L2) and what is performed once trained (L3 & L4). This has been a great solution that doesn't take up any extra time!

Pros

I loved the idea of setting up your courses with the end in mind. The system works best after setting up all your badging, skills, certifications, etc. Makes you and your T&D teams really think through the material and content you are wanting to publish. It also makes all the various training parts seem more cohesive.

Cons

It took a little bit of getting used to the ease of use. (Not really a con!) Captivate Prime is lightyears beyond our current LMS, so we will have to be strategic in implementation as to not overwhelm the learners/managers.
