We are using REACH to do just that, reach out to our officers, civilian staff, and volunteers. We use one monitor for more "fun" items such as monthly birthdays, award commendations, staff highlights, congratulations for new promotions/babies/transfers, etc. The other two monitors are used to keep everyone informed on things such as trainings, flu shot appointments, updates on equipment or building, transfer openings, open enrollment appointments, etc. We are implementing two more monitors very soon - one for the lobby (videos, special event calendars, weather) and the last one for our Crime Analyst to highlight bulletins.

Pros

This software provides much more than what I was previously using, which was a PowerPoint slide show on a monitor downstairs. Each update, which was generally once a day or more, had to be completed away from my office desktop. It was very, very time consuming. Being able to update each announcement from my desktop is so easy, fun, and we're now using the REACH System on a total of five (5) monitors.

Cons

Only two things come to mind. I wish there was a way to keep the text color (chosen from the color swatch in the editing text box) as a default color shown under the main swatches - without having to select "more colors." And, if I'm wishing, I would like to have more editing tools on the front page (without having to select the pencil editor).

It's been a fun experience using REACH and being able to display all types of information for students. I really like being able to acknowledge students on the displays after athletic events I am able to quickly post information to highlight students. I also use it to acknowledge student and staff members of the month. The students can view the information posted on REACH during their lunch periods or in the Media Center or even in the hallways. It's just a very helpful tool that we definitely could not function without.

Pros

I love the ease of uploading images and videos to my Media Library and adding them to Playlists as needed. It's simple and can be done quickly.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about the software. Mainly it's just getting used to navigating from adding media to the players. I'm not one for reading directions and for learning thru trial and error, it was easy to learn how to use.

I've enjoyed it. Always received prompt responses to questions. Very helpful.

Pros

I like the announcements feature. Makes for a simple way to raise awareness about what's happening within our organization. Also provides a way to display the work done by our creative teams.

Cons

Setting up the template is still a bit confusing. And not having a way to control audio through the system also adds time to the set-up. We need to spend time removing audio from our videos before putting them into the announcements. Would be great to have a streaming music option that could work in sync with the announcements. Could provide the option of muting all videos when audio is detected. OR, could set the audio level for each video within the platform.

Pros

The Reach TV admin portal interface is accessible by any network with Internet access and a browserr. This makes it easier to administer from any device .

Cons

Reach TV is missing the integration of coorporate software standards like Microsoft Office, SharePoint, etc.

I can't think of a better company to partner with than Reach Media. They actually listen to their customers needs and are spot on with design and implementation. I have rarely had to call support, but on the few occasions that I did our issues we resolved very quick. Reach is an A+ compnay. Our signage is more for aesthetics than function. We always receive comments on how the signage "classes up" the office. Our clients and partners seem to enjoy seeing their "Name in Lights" on the big screen.

Pros

The implementation team at Reach was fantastic, they worked with me to create a beautiful layout that is easy for me to maintain. The interface is intuitive, and updates are quick and painless. The fact that the system is cloud based has saved countless trips to the office, when quick updates were needed off hours.

Cons

I honestly have not run across a "Con" for us.

Ease of use. Nice look. I neglected to select a few boxes in the last page - I also am an administrator and user of the software, in addition to helping pick out the prodcut.

Pros

We primarily use the Reach Software for our facility schedule. We also have it connected to our Social Media feeds (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). I love the capability of also adding flyers but we do not take advantage of this enough. Several of my colleagues in neighboring towns have been impressed and are considering adding this to their facilities.

Cons

Although it has happened often, we have had the system stop displaying our data from time to time. When consulting with Reach Service, it seems like it was an issue with RecTrac (Vermont Systems), however when speaking with Vermont Systems they made it seem like a Reach issue. The issues have been rectified but was difficult going back and forth between Reach and Vermont Systems.

We have found Reach to be a very useful and effective tool in communicating with our student body and staff. It is easy to use and provides a choice of stock images or the capacity to personalize your communications in a variety of different ways. We use it daily.

Pros

We like the functionality of the product and find it very easy to use. We are able to upload media products from different sources and present them as needed on Reach. We use it daily to support school communication and it only takes a few minutes from each day to update in part because there is a very good supply of stock images which are regularly updated as well as our own media files.

Cons

We would like to see the software compatible with a wider range of file formats.

Pros

I had no pros working with this product, unfortunately. I switched all 300 screens to another platform.

Cons

They have hidden fees that are not told until after you try it and want to sign up. We wasted valuable time as we had a budget, and the fee was 350 for set-up, which was never discussed in several conversations. No other platform has that fee. The designer was not good at all. My 3rd Grader could have done better. Not worth it for the 350. Runnnnnn. They are so many options that do not change that.

Amazing customer service! Always quick to resolve any issues. Very helpful offering advice on how we can best utilize the software the custom features with it.

Pros

REACH is very easy to use and edit. We use their announcement and signage program, and also their mobile app. The mobile app has been a tremendous help for our organization and helps us connect with our customers very easily. We have over 7,000 mobile app users, and we continue to grow with users. All that use it, tell us how much they love it.

Cons

The also issue we have is that on occasion the announcement/signage program loses its connection and needs to be reset. Other than that, we don't have many issues with the product at all.

Our overall experience has been great. We had more people ask about particular food and beverage items as well as had other ball clubs in our league ask to find out where we found Reach Management. I believe we only used 50 percent of what’s capable and look forward to learning more innovative ways which we can extend our menu boards to our guests in the ballpark.

Pros

The introduction of having digital menu boards has helped the patrons read and see visualization menu items from large TV’s. We have been able to load our own photos of food and beverages, which also provides the patrons with actual pictures of concessions available in the baseball stadium. Having reliable tech-support allows even the less computer savvy individuals a chance to learn from the ground up how to make a successful menu board. Lastly, being able to be in control from the administrator’s standpoint of putting in special deals of the day on the day of a game provides good flexibility.

Cons

We have been very happy with the overall software. I say from the administrator’s standpoint, maybe extend call support with the technicians to later in the day. Most if not all problems seem to occur during a game or event when tech support is already closed.

Pros

The best thing about the software was being able to quickly and frequently communicate with our clients, which was a large group of people all at once. It made our networking connectivity a lot easier especially when it came to advertising for a sale or update. Their customer service department was great as well.

Cons

We would have kept Reach but our owners decided to change to another software for our salon and Reach wasn't compatible just yet. I am sure they will be in the near future as they grow.

\-It's very easy to use -I can schedule announcements to display and expire, which is amazing for planning things ahead of time

Cons

\-Currently, the social media feed (Instagram and Facebook) shows very small compared to the size of our display. -Tweets show without pictures -The time stamp for our social media feed shows incorrectly. -I have brought this up to our rep already, but there's another department that submits their announcements to our screen and our message gets lost. We didn't get a straight answer on why it's happening or a solution. I wish there was an approval procedure before another department can submit their announcements.

Pros

We were evaluating digital signage products and our main concern was ease of use and training. The REACH product was very easy to learn and use. The team provided me a short training session and I was off and running in editing our template. Also, their online training videos are short and provide the information needed to make changes to our template. I showed my peer the product and he was able to learn it quickly and make changes to our site. Another great service they provide is support for their computers that run the REACH digital signage software. Everything is configured and all we have to do is connect it and mount it behind the television.

Cons

We have been testing and trialing the REACH digital software and becoming familiar with the product the past few months. I would like to see an improvement in the color schemes, so they appear more rich in color rather than bright and flat.

We are able to put out YMCA's information out to members and guests more succinctly, and with a more polished look than a powerpoint slideshow video that we were using before. Real time updates to programs and events are also very helpful!

Pros

REACH has given us a platform to "reach" our members and guests through our facilities unused televisions. It is relatively easy to set up once you get through the basics. I am still learning the CMS, but all in all, it does what we want and looks great!

Cons

The scheduling feature can be monotonous, it would be nice to see that simplified if you are not importing a calendar from an outside source. I would like to see more randomness for some aspects of the system, Ie: we sell advertisements to outside companies to help pay for the system, and would be nice to say I would like 4 ads within each hour of these days, where now you have to specifically schedule the time of each ad for each day.

We use REACH for announcements at our college rec center and have been extremely pleased with the quick response and follow-up to customer service and technical questions. I would recommend REACH to anyone without hesitation--it has been a wonderful partnership from the get-go and any changes to the software over the years have only increased our happiness with the product.

Pros

I love the user-friendly interface with the wide variety of graphics, stock photos, and background and text colors. We enjoy quickly and seamlessly creating and posting visually pleasing, eye-catching graphic announcements.

Cons

Really have no complaints or suggestions or problems with it!

We needed to replace some old pin-push bulletin boards. REACH offered the most cost-effective solution that gave us really nice displays for the public who visit us daily.

Pros

Ease of Use: The REACH team gave us a tutorial before using this system and we found it very easy to learn and use daily. It's very easy to update our announcements and daily schedule. Template: REACH set up a really nice template that fit our needs perfectly!

Cons

We had some issues with the device freezing up initially but after some updates (via REACH support) it has been running problem-free.

Reason for choosing REACH

I don't recall the other solutions we looked at... but I do remember that REACH offered the nicest looking displays for the best price. We are SUPER happy with the REACH product!!

REACH has fantastic customer service. From the time I contacted them for quotes to the last issue I had with signage, they are kind, courteous and efficient.

Pros

I like the variety of applications available, for instance, weather, time, date, social media feeds.

Cons

Moving to the Playlist and Media Library was a good switch in order to allow us more flexibility in building slides, however it is more complicated than the slide building we were using previously. It would be nice to toggle between the two build capabilities to allow more staff to create and edit slides with less training.

Our overall experience has been very positive. We rarely have outages or server updates, and any problems we have had were quickly addressed by the support staff.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of use when changing our field crew schedules everyday. Our schedule changes all the time, and it is very quick and easy to adjust the content on the fly.

Cons

I wish there were more features such as being able to customize the scrolling banner at the bottom to make it bold, a different color, etc.

My overall experience with REACH has been great. The service that I have been receiving to make the changes that we need have been helpful and patient.

Pros

Very easy to use! We are able to make any changes needed as we advance in our programs, events, announcements etc. We can upload and remove any images or programs and mess around with REACH when needed. It is reliable to use at our City parks for our patrons to see it is a catalog but on TV for everyone to see what the city has to offer.

Cons

As of now we have not had any issues with the software or service. I have been working closely with Dean Running in updating our REACH system for the City of Bell, with a new logo we need new changes with colors, backgrounds, announcements. We will be in process of creating something new.

I use the upload feature, video's that are both custom and from youtube, the calendar, and the stock photo's. I like that I can access Reach on the internet so it's available to me even when I'm not in the office to communicate urgent information to the team. I like that information can be scheduled for times and days ahead of time. Customer Service has been great, I really enjoyed working with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] during the set up and installation process when we were just getting started.

Pros

I like that it was easy to install, easy to use and easy to upload custom video & information to.

I love the support team if you have any questions or issues. After you get the just of it all, I love how easy the convenience of the features just flow in! You’ll love it!

I only had user issues at first, lol after I got out of my own way, I’ve had no probs!
