Hard to believe this is "the future". All of the staff are frustrated after having this system 9 months. They are begging me (management) to return to our outdated system. EW Evan W. practice owner/veterinarian Used the software for: ### "IDEXX Neo review for new practice" November 16, 2015 5.0 I have been using the IDEXX Neo software for about 1.5 years now and I have expanded its usage into 2 of my veterinary practices. In determining software initailly, I wanted a cloud-based software that was user friendly, easy to train staff and had the ability for me to customize specific aspects based on my needs. So far, the software has exceeded my expectations. Having experience with other veterinary programs - AVImark an IntraVet, IDEXX Neo has capabilites these server based programs can not offer. I tested and compared several cloud-based programs, there was absolutely no competition. The other cloud systems available were not user friendly, had a very dated appearance and lacked the intuitive feel compared to Neo. Some specific aspects that I thought were a bonus in the software have actually become the highlight of the program. Specifically, our utilization of the procedural template system that this program offers has significantly reduced previously missed charges from invoices, improved our medical notes and substantially cut down on our DVM documentation time. I would highly recommend this software to new practices, practices converting to EMR from traditional records or practices converting from a server based program to a cloud based program. Pros What i like the most is how easy it is to use, even the doctor loves! I can do inventory and batches so quickly. I like how easy it is to switch users. Cons There isnt high and low on estimates, there should be an inventory selection when putting batches in, and a place/tab on the right side for phone calls to clients or pharmacies so we dont have to open a whole consultation. Everyone is always so helpful and gets answers when needing them the most. Pros The fact that it has a cloud backup automatically and that we are able to have our students play around to get the actual feel of what a software is like. July 14, 2019 5.0 I had a good experience with them and will continue to use other products and their reference lab. Pros The best thing about anything Idexx is there excellent customer service! I have never had a bad experience with them. The software was pretty easy to use with some training and integrates well with our in-house lab equipment. Cons My least favorite is that it is a little harder to use than I prefer and the price is a bit higher than other companies I had found. It took 5 steps to create a rabies certificate. Program cannot calculate monthly sales tax. Cannot view history of inventory prices etc. This software is not ready to be distributed. My IT person has had to develop flowsheets for inventory and sales tax. This is not acloud based version of cornerstone. Pros Low initial hardware and software expense. " November 17, 2015 5.0 We can't say enough wonderful things about this practice software. The last 2.5 years we have tried 2 different veterinary practice software programs. We were at the end of our rope when we reached out to Idexx hoping to find a software that keeps its promises without breaking the bank for a small veterinary practice. And wow, did they deliver! Neo is not only one of the easiest practice software programs we have used, but it also comes with the peace of mind of knowing your data is safely secured on the cloud. Add to the very reasonable monthly payment, practice analytics, email and texting functions and great customer support, I suspect every smart practice will be using this software before long. September 24, 2019 1.0 Our lead Veterinary Technician uses this program more than I do as she is the one who manages our product but it would be nice to be able to easily get my invoices on time and be able to pay them in a timely manner because I have access to them. Pros There is not a day that I can get into this software easily. I get the notifications in a timely manner and that is the nicest thing I can say. Cons This is a very hard software to log into. I get nothing but error messages and have to reset my password and try to get into it several times before anything works. Used the software for: ### "Using Neo in Virginia" January 18, 2017 5.0 We have been using Neo since February 2016. Our former system was Cornerstone. Neo is very user friendly and easy to learn. The initial set up and data migration went very well. The updates are in tune with requests we have made. I would highly recommend it to any veterinary practice. We have never been sorry that we switched to Neo. It is a great system.
