Solves my filtering problems in just a few clicks" December 12, 2017 5.0 I was able to limit browsing activities to the allowed websites on my company self service machines. I had to manually implement this using on-premises hardware and this took lots of effort as I was limited to filter by UP only. I couldn't set a strict rules because I ended up blocking the required sites. This product helped me solve this problem and with little effort. And this is cloud based , this allowed me dedicate on premises resources to other tasks. Pros It's is easy to deploy. Highly scalable. Good dashboard. Captures all transactions which gives a good overview of customer browsing trend. Pros I like that the software is easy to manage and easy to view email that have come into our organization. Cons I believe too much spam is getting through. Support has been great in helping me with unique settings to help reduce spam, but I find that too much gets through. Flat out stops spam 99% of the time. Rating of emails makes it easy to review and delete or release manually. Cons Interface is a bit dated but it does the job. Pros it is relatively inexpensive and initially easy to deploy. Cons The licence key being on the config.ini which also managed dns forwarders and bypass ip is difficult to manage once the product it out. The licence key keeps changing so that you cannot audit them in a script. If you need to add a new dns forward, you have to script this which out changing the licence key. Currently our install is still not working as it should as bypass does not seem to be doing its job so we are relying on dns forward when we shouldnt have to. Any changes require scripting. If the licence key was not in the config.ini then ammendments would be easy to make, but i would not recommend this product unless you have a good powershell scripter. We have had various issues with the product that are hard to track until you stumble on them. Reason for choosing WebTitan Cost and apparent ease, but this has not turned out to be the case. This is not the case with our other 7,500 customers. I can't put think there is an issue with the set up. Could we have another look at it with you? It hasn't been our experience that we have had "Many invalid classifications" and just to update you we always have a backup DNS server. Our product is significantly more mature than the Webroot offering and is more affordable than OpenDNS. Can you drop me a mail and we can try to get to the bottom of the issues you experienced. Administration has been very easy compared to past products we've had. Cons So far no real complaints. I would like to be able to add full url's in whitelisting. Pros It is a set it and forget it SAAS. Deployed for our guest/visitor internet access. Simply works very well, bad and good sites are categorized quickly and access is secured. All for a very good price. Far less than Cisco. Support and Setup were very responsive. Cons NONE, it does exactly what we need it to do. It is not free. I have been working with their rep on setup and he has been great starting with the demo all the way through setup and even helping trouble shoot minor issues I've had. I am very happy to have found TitanHQ and very happy to use the product. Pros I really enjoy using WebTitan software because it is extremely user friendly. Before making the purchase I was given a demo and free access to WebTitan and I was able to pick it up instantly. I really like the homepage for WebTitan which is a nice snap shot of the current web landscape of our company. It shows all of the allowed connections and blocked connections which is nice. This makes it easy to monitor our company in one easy dashboard. The reporting feature was another addition that keep me informed on the spot anytime someone attempts to access a website they shouldn't. Also being able to customize what we block is easy and simple and we also have the ability to white list websites that are under a blocked category. Cons There isn't anything I dislike about WebTitan but the only thing that can become tedious is there is no home button when in another tab like the Policies tab. If I am in the policies tab I cannot get back 'Home' without editing the URL address. Certainly not something I dislike but something I would like to see enhanced at some point. Over time, it became obvious that they were not supporting it well (or at all), all the while charging me a premium for it. Spam Titan on the other hand does the job well. Their customer server is stellar. While I'm paying more, it's worth the benefits. Pros I found Spam Titan to be extremely dependable in eliminating spam emails, and false-positives. May 10, 2021 5.0 Web Titan keeps us within CIPA compliance while also keeping us within our budget. Pros Web Titan is used on our patron computers within the library. It is CIPA compliant, and once installed, it basically runs itself. It keeps people safe when using our computers and offers us the freedom to pick and choose what is blocked. July 10, 2018 4.0 It is already saving me a lot of time. Pros The simple interface is the best feature. When Cisco bought OpenDNS, they revamped the UI to make it look "modern", but they also made it a lot slower to use and find the info you need. With WebTitan, I am finding that I can log in, quickly look for blocked users, check their individual traffic, and get out in less than 5 minutes. With Umbrella (formerly known as OpenDNS), I just wasn't even bothering to look at traffic because the experience was frustrating. Now with WebTitan, I am finding that I am using it daily again because it is quick and easy to use and doesn't make me feel like I am fighting with the UI. Cons The only minor complaint I have so far is that I wish the Reporting tab had an option to consolidate hits by domain name. When I am looking at traffic for a single user, it would be very helpful to just click that and see 1 line per domain that they visited rather than a separate line per hit to that domain. I know I can probably write a macro to do it in the CSV file, but being able to do this in the web UI would be amazing. Review Source BT Bradley T. July 8, 2019 4.0 So far, for the price, the software has exceeded our expectations. We have already implemented the remote agents to over 100 machines. Pros I love the ability to utilize the remote agent to allow computers to stay under our company's web-filter policy while working remotely. Cons The only thing that we dislike so far is the fact that it can sometimes take hours for the policy changes to take effect. Reason for choosing WebTitan The cost was the biggest factor. WebTitan was able to make a deal that we could not pass up. Switched from [ESET Endpoint Security](https://www.capterra.com/p/151915/ESET-Endpoint-Security/) We used ESET for our AV/Web filter.
