### "Good pest software, not the best for lawncare"

It is a good system for pest control, but I was promised that it handled lawn care as well. Although it did do the job I felt it was pretty basic for the price I was paying.

Pros

Fantastic reporting and scheduling. Pest control operations run pretty smooth. Support is responsive

Cons

I own a lawn and pest company. On the lawn side of things the software was pretty buggy with pre payments. Did not care for the service proposals on the lawn programs as it was as very confusing for the customer and any changes would cost over a hundred dollars per hour

I would never recommend it to anyone . If you find it useful you dont know pest control

Wasnt very much to like . Have been in the pest control industry 38 yrs.

Cons

When first inquiring about it was told by the sales person "Its the greatest. We take pestpac customer every day ." would only get to see the sosftware for a few minutes then either had to sign or not. I signed what I though was a one year agreement which included an upload of our data. Our implementation person was knowlegdable about the software but not pest control. The we found out that I was not signed up for an upload but they took my $1300 anyway. You get one hour a day for the first week the one hour a week after that . They are going to charge you for months while you arent live. Customer service is non existent, .... It is a series of home offices ..Everyone works from home . They decided to try and upload data using our reports in excel format. That was great except no history , no phone numbers and no emails . we were 3 weeks in , no data, and still 3 months from going live and decided to cancel and stay with pestpac. Pest pac is hands down a superior software in every form and better customer svc. Then they informed us we had signed a 3 year agreement and we wont get a penny back even though they never did an upload,. The claims they make online are dreams

Overall everything excluding the payment set up has been good. Customer service is a little dodgy but all in all they get back to you relatively quick.

Pros

The User name interface is clean and everything excluding payment set up is pretty easy and clean to navigate.

Cons

Their payment set up is very odd. You have links for security that expire after X amount of days than when customer go to use the link it's expired and it has to be sent again. I wish their payment system was simpler like stripe. Simple email with a link that brings you right to a window to enter cc or bank account information.

### "NO SUPPORT!!"

The set was easy. The training that we were given was ok. The trainer only gave us training on the office desktop software. She was not trained to give us real world training on the mobile app. We were given no training WDO reports. No training on reporting to state and counties. The product looks good and it has all the features you could want. But not having the proper training for them makes it all useless. Not being able to get a response from the support team creates a "you are on your own situation." Currently this is creating a situation that if not just us, but anyone is not able to properly report to the governing agencies who is going to held accountable? The state and county offices are not going to go after Fieldroutes. We are the ones at risk.

The soft has many good features that help you manage the business.

Cons

NO SUPPORT!! Left (and this the truth) 57 voice message when we were not able service a huge account with over 70 devices. Was not able to get answer for three days.

Reason for choosing FieldRoutes

They said they would wave the $5000.00 set up fee. Which they did. We were led to believe that moving our data base would be about that much regardless of who we switched to.

Been using it for a few years now. Every app has glitches but I feel it’s been relatively smooth.

Everything is pretty integrated and works well.

Cons

I wish the app didn’t refresh or reload while checked into an appointment. If I leave the app and go back, the app starts from the schedule menu. That could be a setting on my phone, not really sure.

### "Mediocre at best but likely poorly managed"

Chronology of their poor management:1) Get locked out and no access to see my route on a working day with no previous warning.2) Call customer support and they tell me my payment info was outdated3) Offer new updated payment but they tell me I have to log in and update payment info myself, they don't take that over the phone. 4) No access to software to update payment info though5)Call again and Customer support provides temporary access to update payment info6) Payment info Field Not functioning and unable to update payment info, sent screen shots7)Customer support tells me they're working on it8) They sent an email, now is functional but by then my access is locked out again9) Had to call again, now a supervisor had to get involved and then finally resolved payment info.10) Asked why I was not given heads up about payment info being outdated, I had that card for years and is not reasonable to remember when they become outdated11) They said they did but when I updated my email in the software, their accounting department didn't get updated Meanwhile, I lost customers due to their poor communication skills. I had the same problem with my email domain. Payment info became outdated. I open my email daily and the first thing I saw was a warning showing X amount of days to update my payment info. I updated immediately and never had an issue. Here's the difference between a good company and whatever field routes is. Bad choice of a software overall

Pros

I signed up for the integration of Sentricon. I liked they offered that since I switched from Termite Liquid Treatments to a Baiting system. Outside of that, it did not offer me a better solution than my previous software in all aspects

Cons

The mobile app performs poorly. As a business operator, the app doesn't allow you to add a new customer, new service, subscription... etc. You have to log in into the desktop version in your mobile device which is not mobile friendly at all. All info looks tiny and difficult to navigate thru. New app has many bugs. Terrible when uploading info. Often times it crashes on android phones. Also customer info is terrible if something goes wrong outside "how I do this or that" Lastly, if you want out, they they weeks to give you your own cvs file with customer data. On top of it all, they duplicate info AND FIELD ROUTES IS KNOWN FOR MAKING DIFFICULT TO TRANSFER TO A NEW SOFTWARE.... DISGUSTING!

i LOVE the tech tracking, it is the only way we can truly keep track of where our techs have been and where they are going. this feature truly is awesome.

Cons

CUSTOMER SERVICE. no one seems to be able to help us with our issues and everytime we ask for assist we get the same response "wow, i've never seen this before" We are not naive enough to think we are the only company with problems, this app was designed for Pest management was it not? please spend more time training your customer service staff.

The customer service has largely been responsive, kind, and they really do seem to care that we're able to be educated on how to use FieldRoutes as well as making sure we're in a position to being doing it correctly. The time it took us to implement was extremely frustrating - we signed on in mid/late January and didn't go live until June 15th of this year. And even when we did start, it felt like I had to keep explaining our business, what was important to us, and how we wanted to use the software, and despite that, constantly kept running into problems. The wait times to get things done were really frustrating to us. I'd communicated a ton with FieldRoutes implementation specialists/developers/customer success members about things we wished FieldRoutes would do in order to make it smoother for us to use, & be less of a "pest control only" type software, and my impression is that we're just a tiny fish in a very big sea of their clients so I'm left feeling very cynical we'll ever be able to have the software become more configurable to our industry. Simple things like adding different placeholders in forms/agreements, providing different customizable fields in customer cards, being able to download pdf's more easily in the Form Lookup, is stuff that would make a massive difference in our use of FieldRoutes but I have been provided with very, very little hope that those changes will ever be made. Although I must say, FR's been a real big improvement & help for us still.

Pros

Routing, dispatching, and scheduling have been great. The real time data and tools on the dashboard are extremely helpful to see how productive your company is and how your business is doing on the top line.

Cons

We've had a pretty difficult time adjusting things that we need in order to report to clients and to counties on the work we do. This software feels often like we've fit a square peg in a round hole, but it works for us. The thing that is the most frustrating to me is how this software still seems totally built for pestcontrol businesses, and if you aren't in that category, you seem to have to make your business flow fit as best you can into the software. The big thing I was excited about with software was being able to send out a crisp, smooth, digital, monthly renewal service subscription to customers throughout the year because we've historically done that using paper. We're still not to the point where any of the customer reporting/county reporting/renewal processes seem to really configure to what we need, which is frustrating. I'm hopeful FieldRoutes makes their product more configurable and adjustable to the industry needs of their customers, and makes it less of a static/"what you see is what you get" type software.

Utilizing the service categories to create different categories for types of services that you'd like to see individual totals for. For example, a subcontracted service for insulation is a One Shot, in pest control terms, but having the ability to separate this category from the rest of the One Shots is very useful in finding completed sub jobs quickly, and ensuring paperwork is submitted correctly and on time.

Pros

This software is user friendly, and versatile.

Cons

There is no ability to edit manual payment entries that are not run through the payment processors, for example, the payment date. There are some customers that submit ACH payments directly to our checking account, if this is not noticed the same day to enter in PestRoutes, you cannot back date the payment entry in PestRoutes to have both dates match.

### "Great for pest, not so good for termite"

Frustrating to set up. Difficult to understand the email templates. There should be a better editor. Same with the pest agreements. You almost have to know HTML which limits the average person's ability to customize the contracts. The credit card processing fees are very high, especially on top of the monthly cost of the platform. We had to hire a consultant, Pest SOS to help us dial it in quickly and train my CSR's. The initial training was too fast, and therefore my team did not retain it.

Pros

The ability to grow to thousands of pest customers, and handle the billing, routing and follow up without having to add CSR's.

Cons

We are a termite-heavy company with most revenue coming from termite work, fumigation, repair, etc. We pay extra to use the WDO reports for California. The report writing function for the WDO reports is terrible. The diagramming tool is nearly unusable. We have to create the diagrams in MS Paint. The WOrk authorizations that are automatically generated are uneditable, and cannot collect electronic signatures (like the pest control agreements) and as the owner, I cannot get reports for outstanding (unapproved) work authorizations. It's so bad that we are considering using another platform for termite. I do not feel that the extra money we pay is worth it for the CA version. In hindsight, I would have gone with another platform such as Bug Base instead. It doesn't have the reporting power, but does way more for termite-centric companies in CA.

### "Best software available in pest right now."

Does what we need it to which is great because there have not been any real great options in the pest industry until this came along. Not perfect but not making it a need to design our own.

Pros

It’s fairly feature rich while still being simple. Ease of use doing sales via mobile and being paperless is great.

Cons

I wish it had better user controls to protect data etc from accidental user mistakes etc. Also wish we could be a bit more modern with contract and invoice and customer portal and all thing customer facing in the design department. But those are minor.

### "Scheduling Game Changer "

Field routes saves us time, money, and allows us to be better prepared for each day. With the ability to save extensive customer notes, no details are lost and we are able to provide high-quality services to our customers.

Pros

Like any big change for a small business, switching to Field Routes was a large undertaking for our team. However, once we had things in place, it has helped us grow and succeed in ways we didn't think were possible. Working in a rural area, it is extremely helpful to be able to view and schedule appointments in a map view. We have saved hundreds of dollars in fuel costs, and we have helped our technicians be more productive. Realtime views of the technicians day has helped us to better schedule for their capabilities. There are many excellent reports that have helped us track and monitor our growth which has been both encouraging and challenging.

Cons

According to our technicians there are a few lags with the app software. Often the technicians will find error codes and not be able to complete their work. While this is a frustration, Field Routes has always responded to our concern quickly.

Reason for choosing FieldRoutes

We preferred the overall ease of the software. The drag and drop and the left to right top to bottom approach makes things work smoothly. We also felt like the staff were more supportive and offered more training.

### "Will get the job done and can scale with you but push for growth has left critical features behind"

It got the job done - probably the best on the market in terms of features and scalability for the price; but not without its issues. They also love to find ways to stick it to you: $.04 per text message sent and received and they MAKE you use their payment processor. It's not terribly priced but they're not giving you any deals or anything.

Pros

It's easy to get started and implemented off the bat. It also has virtually all the features you will need for a young to mid-size business. Some advanced features also exist (e.g., multi-unit tracking) which is great.

Cons

So many bugs in the software lately Pushing out lots of product updates that don't really work They don't tell you when they release new features There are really basic things (such as creating bundle packages) that are impossible to do so you have to get creative to make work-arounds. Poor / terrible sales & marketing related features

It's been a bit of a headache to get it figured out, but overall it does help keep things running smoothly from the office. The workers using the mobile app have the most trouble.

Pros

I like being able to schedule appointments and then when completed, they make automatic invoices for me.

Cons

The time clock on the mobile app, as well as a lot about the app. I feel it should be more easily used like the website is. The reset for the "sent" feature on the invoices is frustrating because it throws things off. The fact of setting it up to quickbooks is a headache and next to impossible it seemed. A lot of it is done manually because the software doesn't organize things as well as I think it could.

I think my overall experience is very good. Not perfect. Customer service for me has been fantastic, some features are lacking, proce is. A bit high but the ease of use and functionality makes those things easier to deal with.

Pros

I like how integrated everything is and how I can have everything under one company. My CRM, SEO and Marketing adverts are all done by you guys. I do find it to be a bit pricey though. I also enjoy all the landing page stats, it feels real professional.

Cons

Pricing is a bit much for my small company. I don't like that we can't make the comments for customers bigger so it's easier to read. I also don't like that we can't book jobs on the app as well as techs can't print their own route summary from the app as well.

### "Long time user First time caller...."

Overall I love field routes and have talked up the company for the last 8 years as a tech, a service manager, a branch manager, and call center support manager. I have learned to work around the challenges FR can throw your way. I have become a expert and a valued source for running custom reports. The low level support staff is amazing I've only had 2 questionable experiences in 8 years with them. They are quick to respond to your initial question and have a fair amount of tools at their disposal. Tech routes is a great app and has become a powerful tool for techs allowing them diagram stops and what/where the issues are present. Sales routes does a good job at keeping salesmen from knocking existing customers saving time wasted hitting existing customers.

Pros

Scheduling optimization, Raw power in reporting and finding whatever it is you need from a reporting perspective. Most low level support agents are amazing to deal with.

Cons

Mapping out stops there is no true distance score and the miles shown are as the crow files causing huge issues with proper routing without having an extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas. its to easy to run the wrong report due to the advanced and complex reporting system (I do love the power but my owners, managers, and agents can all run what they think is the same report and return different information. ) Integration with vendors is difficult at best. there is little support or care with large projects that don't benefit FR directly. updates are sudden, with no information, and after the updates made you don't find anything out about it for days or longer if you don't touch the system daily.

### "FieldRoutes Review"

The software has helped us grow by better organizing our business. Reports are awesome for enabling us to see the growth in so many ways!

Pros

There is SO much customization available so we can really tailor it to suit our business and adapt it as our business grows.

Cons

There are an abundance of features and a library of guides on how to use them. It might be helpful to have more access to step by step training with a FieldRoutes rep to answer questions as they might pertain to applying them to our business.

### "Good but could be better"

It does what we need it to do and more but the negatives just might out-way the pros. But we will continue to use them for now because its really hard to switch.

Pros

FieldRoutes offers most everything we need as far as features and capabilities. Even some things we wouldn't necessarily need but find very useful. Overall a good product that makes our job easier.

Cons

I know that every software has issues... thats to be expected. But what isn't to be expected is poor customer services when reaching out to support. I have been using them for years and whenever there is an issue, the rep will always blame us until we prove that it is a FieldRoutes issue. It is incredibly frustrating when we are trying to solve a problem that affects our ability to make money and then to have a CSR from FRs say, not in these words but close to it, "you've done something wrong." If we've done something wrong, help us learn how to do it write, don't just point the finger back at us. Very aggravating. Second would be more training available to understand what is offered. We come across things quite a bit that make us thing "I didn't now it could do that." Along with the bad customer service from support, the one thing that will probably drive us away from FR's is the payment processing fees. Even when we weren't with Filed Routes payments, FR's would dictate what Braintree would charge us. There wasn't any ability to negotiate or be competitive. It's been the same experience after we switched to FRs Payments. To be honest, we are highly considering leaving because of how high the fees are. Its getting to be ridiculous but they won't let us go to other payment processors. The billing on this is also very hard to understand because you have to look through a massive invoice and there isn't an easy way to understand what we are being charged and why.

### "Should I buy FieldRoutes?"

It has been good, bad, and even ugly at times. The help desk is usually anything but helpful. I do have a contact who is very approachable and generous with his time which is greatly appreciated. But there aren't tpoo many of him to go around.... If I had one suggestion to FieldRoutes, it would be to get involved from jump with the set-up and implematation of the softeware. Many of us don't know trh w questions toi ask until it is too late! I would encurage buyers to have someone dedicatd to the set-up and implematation. Hours invested up front (by Field Routes and end users) will pay dividends in the form of an overall better user experience, less frustration, and hours --even days--trying to solve seemingly unsolvable problems. If I had it to do over, would I? Given what was on the market then and what I know now, a definite maybe. I would have asked more questions and pushed harder for real answers (less 'sales-speak').

Pros

The single biggest factor driving our decision to go with then PestRoutes, was that it wasn't the "other" software.

Cons

Data migration was a nightmare.... The diffculty in creating custom service service agreements and implematation thereof, the route optimazation software provides far from optimal routing, and zero explanation of the "Distance Score" so that we can actually use this tool to aid in routing and dispatch. Also, I have a tremandous anmount of difficult extracting data. The "shiny dashboard" and the flood of reporting capabilities that were shown as part of the sales procewss were impressive, to say the least. What is there is much easier to use than the competitor I left. I am frustrated that when I want certain data, the answer is "sorry, can't do that". The initial purchasing process was less than "transparent" and I wasn't educated enough to ask certain questions that would have guided my buying decison.
