All the tools are readily available and visible and intuitive to work. I especially love the templates and the breadth of areas they cover. Cons It takes users a little bit of time to become proficient with the interface as most are coming from tools like Power Point and are not used to moving the canvas along with moving objects. Once this is overcome the tool is a breeze to use. I love all the shapes that have, which make easy to understand the diagram because each has a meaning. I've created huge diagrams that I wouldn't be able to create them without Lucidchat because they were so big that it was impossible to read the content of the diagram, but Lucidchat allows sharing it with just a link and to explore all the diagram with the zoom tool.On the whole, I had a good experience using this software, it's simple but useful; you can create really simple diagrams or create big ones without high complexity. Personally, I would strongly recommend it. Pros This software is simple to use, it has a similar interface to other well known software products of the Office package. This is an advantage because everyone can learn how to use it in a few minutes. It offers numerous shapes, arrows, and text. This great variety is extremely useful to design the diagrams because it makes easy to read them and to structure them. It's easy to paste each shape and connect each one with arrows, then you can also add colour to each shape. Diagrams are also dynamic, if shapes are connected in the right way, when one shape is moved, will find the way to keep it connected, by modifying the arrows position and shape. Cons has not many cons, the main one is that the free version of the product has some limitations related to the size of the diagram and the way you can export it or share it. Without the premium version, making vast diagrams is not so easy because you are limited to a maximum number of shapes in each diagram, and you can't have more than 3 documents simultaneously. Pros The drag and drop tool from the diagrams library, the feature to change colors of the diagrams and background in the model, the swim lanes, BPMN 2.0 features as well as the feature to select the type of model you want to design. For example, if you want to model an improved business process or facility layout, you could select that application and tools applicable for that type of model will be displayed in the tools library. It's simple, obvious/intuitive, and makes communicating super simple. I love the ability to quickly make new diagrams, succinctly communicate, share, print, etc. Even training new team members to use Lucidchart is super simple - new engineers may not fully understand the value, but they quickly see it. Cons The look and feel of outputs is pretty generic. I wish that the look and feel could be more polished for larger audiences - there are other softwares out there that show/present similar diagrams in a more polished look/feel. That said, that's minor. Lucidchart does exactly what it says it's going to do. One big request/wish: I wish Lucidchart had an API that would build diagrams programmtically. Yes, Lucidchart has an API, but I specifically want to hand it PlantUML commands (or something similar) from RunTime code that would quickly build sequence diagrams, class diagrams, system diagrams, etc. But alas, that is entirely missing. It's great that with Lucidchart we can collaborate as a team to prepare charts, which ensures that we include all the details we need. Pros I like that provides a lot of collaborative features, allowing team members to participate in making workflow charts, org charts, and much more that we need, and the easy-to-customize ready-made templates help us get the job done smoothly. I particularly like how Lucidchart handles organization charts because we can specify the number of sub-levels, add all of the organization's employees, and link them to the line officials within the departments by the proper functional relationships. We can also add their photos, write their names and job titles, and add links to easily access the member's job history. It's also great that we can make more than one sub-organizational chart and connect them directly to the main one. This lets us clearly explain a lot of details.  Cons Everything in is structured and easy to use. I thought at the beginning that coordinating the sizes of the different components and linking them to one other on the board hard affair, but with practice, it turned out that it is pretty simple. I would recommend it to anyone that is doing Information Technology, Computer Science in the secondary and tertiary system, and creatives alike. Pros There is an unlimited size to the size of my document when inserting multiple diagram symbols. To go along with this, when saving my file, I can choose whether to crop the content in the worksheet to the content only or otherwise. Cons When my account was created and I my first 3 documents, the fourth document was created but the first document was changed to view-only. That meant that I was not able to edit that document again unless I made a copy of it however the same problem did occur. I would recommend Lucidchart to any Project Management team, learning team or operations team. Here is why: - great ability to write process flows and wireframes - easy way to create conversations for extensive scenario-based learning - useful collaboration with your team and reviewers - easy to manage platform - great customer support. Pros We started using as a tool to outline conversations our call centre agents had with customers regarding a new product that we were launching. At first, we used a free version which was sufficient enough but after seeing how much we could get with the paid version, we committed to that. The most powerful part for my team was the ability to brainstorm together on any charts we had to create. Moving parts in different places, asking questions of your colleagues and exploring our vision were the most exciting for project management. Additionally, reviews were seamless. You would share a link to the chart and then the reviewers were able to put their feedback that you could implement right away. It saved us a lot of time and effort in the process. Cons We use to create charts or scenario-based process flows and we did not see anything that wouldn't meet our expectations. In summary, I think is a valuable tool for any IT team that needs to create and share diagrams quickly and efficiently, and I would use it again without hesitation. Pros Throughout the time that I have worked with this tool, I must emphasize that it is an intuitive and easy-to-use tool, it gives you the facility to create an infinite number of diagrams in a matter of minutes. It's an excellent tool for all of these. Lucid is intuitive to use with simple drag & drop functionality. 90% of the features I'm looking for are available by sight or with a simple right-click of the mouse. The visualizations it provides helps to highlight process complexities that need to be simplified, and make collaboration with clients very straightforward. Cons Because is a web-based tool, its features lag in comparison to some installed options. The other thing that annoys me is how there does not seem to be any way to add a connector to a shape so that the connector will dynamically re-orient when I move the shape-- a very common occurrence when working to improve processes! I need to click the connector, hope I actually selected the right space (or else it creates a new connector), and drag it to a new connection point. Overall minor, but annoying. Pros I love how easy it is to create flow charts, workflows, and diagrams in various formats. There are other software out there that accomplish this function but is really cost effective for educational institutions and meet the need very well. Cons It took a little bit to understand how to work the tools and formatting but once you get the hang of it, the software is pretty easy to use. It would be awesome to have some sort of training manual to refer to help those new to process mapping understand the various symbols but considering how cost effective it is, that's really a non-issue. I have created multiple documents such as Strategy alignment chart and it didn't take long at all to do it. Cons This does have a limit of 3 live documents per free user. Increasing will certainly bring more people to use this.
