Pros We use it to organize troubleshooting steps into flowcharts, which have been found to be easy to use. Its design is colorful and interactive.We can find data easily. Pros First of all it is a tool with a very clean design. It's excellent for those who aren't very technical to start putting ideas into practice, in particular I'm good at making diagrams, flowcharts of procedures. Excellent export functionality for sharing. Cons I didn't find any negative points, maybe one of the plans should allow more users at the same price. Pros is a great tool for creating diagrams for all process and workflows on an organization. We rely on Lucidchart to create diagrams on our data flows for our various client projects. This is a great tool for understanding the work flows and process in a project. Also it is helpful for clients to understand the work process by seeing just the diagram. We use this application almost interchangeably with a good old regular whiteboard. While we work remote or in office, Lucidchart allows us to collaborate ideas and have them captured online for us automagically. Pros The templates are top notch. They seem to have a template for everything. With viseo, the tempates where not very useful. Cons You have to add seats/users in groups of 5. I sometime had to switch users until i had enough interest to add 5 more. It has been a great bridge between my engineers and BD team. Pros looks very good. When the flows are built, they're great for collaboration and process understanding. Cons I'm constantly booted out and have to relogin. Could be a user error, but several of us on my team are interrupted by navigating away and then trying to come back to it. Listing the steps is not always effective. I have discovered as a trainer that a flowchat helps to fully illustrate the process, particularly when those being taught don't have a previous frame of reference with regards to what is happening. Pros I love the ease of use of this software. Simple drag and drop helps me to create professional charts in no time. I also love the ability to export in different formats and the integration with Office 365. Cons There really isn't anything I can describe as a con with this software. It's a fantastic way to visualize a new process. Pros is user-friendly and has some great tutorials on how to get started. I prefer to create my own charts from scratch but there are also great templates you can modify to your needs. Creating flowcharts and sharing them is a great way to collaborate with others. Includes libraries are perfect for flow charts, but not what is needed for process automation (BMS/SCADA etc.). Network and IT stuff is acceptable but some of the built in objects are unprofessional looking. Easy, though, to create your own objects. Definitely faster and more powerful than Gliffy (Atlassian) or any of the MS Office drawing tools except for Visio. But what's great about is the simple integration with web sharing (wikis, confluence, etc.). Works cross platform on Mac, Linux, and Windows desktops. Cons Exporting high quality images for production printing (to Adobe InDesign for example) is an overly awkward and laborious process. Would be nice to a simple Save As EPS and SVG. Pros I am very visual, and as a remote team, I use LucidSpark in place of our in-office whiteboard to brainstorm, organize, and keep the list so that everyone is on the same page and knows the priority, and can see the big picture. Cons Some of the auto-formatting is annoying like lines or arrows that auto-snap to objects or points I don't want it to. I wish there were a few more shape options.
