Used it already multiple times for solo and collab work and has made the work really easy and swift. Pros The ease of use is great. If you are coming over form another software its esy to understand. Super great for quick collaborations, design thinking, even just getting own ideas down because of the extensive templates and large template library. Product Design is clean, not a lot of clutter. Cons more AI usage would be great. For example being able to just jot down your ideas or structure you wanted then getting a stater for 10 would be great. Review Source JF Joe F. September 25, 2024 5.0 allows us to use intelligent tools to create diagrams and charts which has been a key game changer. The experience working with Lucidchart has been very rewarding to us. It makes it easy for us to create all sorts of diagrams and charts that help us visualize our ideas and plans to keep our work streamlined. Pros One of the things i like most about is how easy it makes it to create charts and diagrams through drag and drop instead of programming. I also love how Lucidchart had a multi-user workspace that makes it easy to collaborate and work together with others when diagramming. Lucidchart has also impressed me with the AI diagramming tools which makes ot easy to create even the most sophisticated charts. It also had readymade templates that gave us a big head start when onboarding. Cons has impressed in all areas. We have been fortunate not to have anything that is not liked. June 23, 2025 5.0 Overall, I have had a positive experience with this software. It has helped me significantly with brainstorming my ideas for my intern project and organizing all of my future steps. Pros I really like the variety of templates are are provided depending on what I am trying to do. The brainstorming and planning templates are extremely helpful in particular when trying to create a plan and develop ideas for new projects. Color options are also great for organizing thoughts and information. The UX and flow of working on a project is fine, but the actual UI can be more on trend. I can interact with many diagram options that are pre-designed or modify them as I feel best. Pros This tool has been perfect for creating diagrams in real time and being able to share all the information in a simpler and better explained way. By being able to view the data, I can have clarity of the information and thus explain with real data for greater clarity. All data imports are done to the diagrams to reduce information, leaving the most important information and being able to have collaboration between the team. The use-cases are endless. From my professional work to visualizing my home automation system to planning out my Notion workspace...turns out I can't live without Lucidchart. Pros I love how customizable is. It makes wrapping your head around complex concepts and systems a breeze. Cons I don't like that the templates button is at the very top of the tools sidebar. It’s reliable, easy to share with teammates, and works well across different devices. It’s my go-to tool for visualizing workflows and system designs. Pros The interface is clean and easy to use. I liked how intuitive it is — I was able to build flowcharts and diagrams without much learning curve. The drag-and-drop features and templates save a lot of time. I have not had to use it for anything else yet, and the integrated shapes for Cisco make the network maps easy to standardize for my organization. Pros Very open ended, easy to use. The UI is nice, most features are right there and easy to find and use, and shortcut keys are exactly what you would expect them to be. Cons Some features can be hidden and hard to find. In a matter of minutes you can get a realistic view of how things will look and that has led me to make some meaningful changes! Pros It’s easy to use and has some great tools built in. I love the ability to copy a workbook and create different working options. Cons While the tools are really user friendly I do wish there were a few more options- specifically when it comes to the home design portion. When I discovered this tool I was really impress how easy it is. I had some basic knowledge of UML and BPMN so it was clear to me what type of block to use when and why. It allows me to create really robust process maps, that's my main use case for that. Since I learned how to use it, every time I talk to with somebody about any kind of process we start to map it there, just to see how it looks and visually look for some errors and things that can be done better. Cons The free version in my opinion is just not enough to really get your hand on this software. You got just 3 documents with 60 shapes, if you're a person who is really detailed, that amount can be used really quickly not making you see the value in it. Review Source KD Kimberly D. It’s intuitive — you can include and move around shapes, adjust layouts quickly, and it feels smooth. Plus, working with others is easily done since everyone can jump into the same diagram and make edits together live. Cons One downside is that the visuals can get cluttered fast if you're building a complex diagram. It can be hard to handle large layouts as cleanly as I'd like. Some of the tools (like spacing and alignment tools) help, but managing big diagrams still can take a fair amount of manual effort to keep things readable and useful. Review Source SR Sam R. However, it's user experience can be made frustrating when trying to do some simple diagram tasks. Pros Easy tool for creating process flows and creative images for a variety of business needs including system architecture and business policies. Cons The use of lucid as a planning tool isn't great. It's gantt charts are fiddly, and I found it easier to use other tools rather than lucid. I don't see a simple Align option while using online version. Documentation is not clear whether why this option is available only in an installable app, but I don't see where I can download and install it. Pros I like the sample templates and the video tutorials. SSO Integration is useful as well. Help content seems to be decent. Cons I don't see a way to align shapes. There is no Align option in lucid.app. I should be able to move shapes horizontally or vertically so that connectors stay straight. It unnecessarily puts bends in the connectors. Very annoying.
