It is very simple and quick. As i work in project management and as a business analyst, it meats almost all my needs. No need for expensive software. It was really low and almost offensive at Weber State University and really productive and great at University of Utah. I do like how clean the interface looks and it is user friendly. I don't like the fact that the lines do not connect automatically in the graph maker. It makes you make another line on top of the line already there and usually places the new line RIGHT NEXT TO the old line instead of on top of it or connecting it. Pros Simplicty. Final interface is really clean. A good tool for sales and marketing department. Cons The chart creation is easy but the drawing and the engineering chart can be improved a bit. Personally, I don't see any other changes required in this software. Lots of very useful chart for software development, such as UML. It can be integrated to google online slides which is my fav. Cons The performance is not good enough, it may take almost 1 min to load it, espectially when integrated with google slides. Pros Was pretty quick and easy to get going, and intuitive for simple tasks. Basic layout, and fairly well organized. Cons While the layout was simple and effective, it was not super attractive. The integration with google is fantastic, making it really easy to login. Collaboration/commenting is probably my favorite feature. It is easy to use and the support team is always quick to help with any questions or problems. Pros Lucidchart is a great way to map out ideas. I like that I can create a diagram and then share it with other people. Cons There is not much that I disliked about Lucidchart. I love that it's very responsive and there are plenty of object libraries and templates so you have everything at your fingertips to help you get started quickly. We have a team plan and it makes collaboration a breeze. Sharing with others outside of the organization is easy to do as well. Cons It's fully cloud-based so if you have no internet, you won't be able to access it. I do wish there were more templates to choose from. Review Source KP Kelci P. To some degree, the software isn't incredibly intuitive, so I've had to do web searches for instructions on completing very basic functions through the software, but then could easily figure out what I was doing from there. That mostly applies to Lucid Chart. However, I tried to use Lucid's floor plan tool once and simply could not figure it out. That one was not intuitive for a custom project; perhaps it could have been more intuitive had I been putting together a floor plan for an apartment or something, but it was not easy to customize the components for my project. Pros The basic functionality of creating dynamic maps on Lucid Chart any way you want them. Cons Not intuitive; if you want to create something intricate or custom, it is difficult to figure out. They include common flow charts that businesses use so you can use a template to guide your own. It's handy that they integrate with Google products as well so you can put your charts in Google very easily to share with colleagues. There are some other features they have, like collaborating, etc that I haven't had need to use. But overall I've liked the simplicity of this. Cons I wish the free version came with more stuff (though, who doesn't?) We don't use this all that often, so paying to upgrade doesn't always feel worth it. Review Source BM Brian M. I use it to help convert rough ideas in to firm ones and then share these with my team and clients. In Lucidchart, objects do exactly what you want them too without you having to think about it, it just knows. The experience of connecting objects to one another is unmatched by any other similar package. Pros Speed and ease of use are really something. Documents are highly customisable yet you never lose the intuitively smart behaviour of objects, text and connections. Cons Sharing functionality is very effective but could be a little better described within the app - I spend longer than I should choosing the right way to share a diagram. Pros Rich, ready to use flexible and adjustable templates and forms organized in usable groups. May be easily selected and located on a diagram. Suitable for vast range of fields and professionals. The most important feature is the sharing with other which allows the collective and collaborated design. Perfect integration with tools like Google Apps, Google Drive, JIVE etc. Exporting resulting diagrams in various standard file formats or publishing as online documents.
