Found and most of my diagrams and flowcharts are now based on lucidchart. Its a lifesaver and best part is that it is compatible with visio as well. Pros Easy to learn and use. Constant improvements. Since I am mac user I will say it is the best solution which I found to draw diagrams and topologies, simple integration with atlassias, I just modify topology and it is updated in confluence page. I'd use it again but not sure with average needs I can justify the cost. Pros The software is easy to use, responsive and does exactly what it says it does. Cons I don't think most people will need Lucid Chart. Most simple things can be done in Word or Publisher but it is great for more advanced work. I also, feel that the new beta look and feel is the right step and direction. The only recommendation would be to make setting up my common objects for design more intuitive so that they were always there. However it's not as easy to use as some other software of similar nature. Especially if you're not used to working with other diagramming software. Overall if you're looking for a quick diagram without fuss then this is a good tool to use. Cons Sometimes I feel like I'm only using 10% of the goodness that can offer me. And made it easy for me to create charts off of my Google sheets which was a good experience. Cons The hassle of creating charts in and then embedding them in Sheets is a wrinkle that makes the experience less seamless. November 23, 2016 5.0 First of all, I love this product, connecting shapes is smart and the right number and kinds of shapes for my flow chart work. The only small problem I have is exporting or printing my flowcharts. I have the most recent version of Google Chrome and Explorer and exporting and printing from LucidCharts is problematic: it says it is "working" but then it doesn't go anywhere. The best option is to publish and then to click on the link. It feels like kind of a work around, though. Also, in Chrome, sometimes the alignment of multiple shapes doesn't work so well. Otherwise a great product and when finished looks clean and professional. Pros Lightweight, intuitive and connecting the shapes is smart. You can create a very nice workflow in minutes. Cons Sometimes the joints between objects need to be manually adjusted to look better, but overall the software does a good job to automatically adjust when you move things around. Two issues I've noticed, is that when flow charts get very complex, my Mac Book Air really starts to lag and has trouble handling my project. My coworker once had a giant sitemap built but his browser crashed and he lost all his work, and was required to start over. Being able to have a desktop app or more stable support/auto-backup would be helpful to ensure work doesn't get lost. Pros Easy set up of components, interactive elements and layers, ability to import images, and its support with other apps like Microsoft Office and JIRA. I have used this for process improvement, network diagrams, flowcharts, physical layouts of work-spaces for home, office, and industrial applications and...well, it just goes on and on! Lucid chart is also very easy to learn and use. Seriously, any monkey that can use a mouse can use ! Pros I was introduced to the software by a colleague. I love creating and developing ways to visualize scientific theory and objectives. it is really great for presentations, teaching, and grant writing. I did not know my best experience was on Firefox browser. I was using Google. I could not get Page Setup to come up just to change the orientation of my page. Once I discovered that was a browser issue I downloaded Firefox and installed and was happy I could make that small change. The next time I opened Lucidchart, I could not find my docs. That was frustrating. Now, I am getting use to drawing in Lucidchart and it is easy to use and get what I need done quickly. I recommend the product, but use the right browser. I didn't feel alone with the daunting task of trying to figure out a new program. Pros It's very easy to use and figure out. I went from crawling to sprinting about as fast as a newborn giraffe does. Which means very fast. I was able to create a professional looking flow chart in minutes never using this program before. Cons I'm still very new the the program so I haven't come across any.
