As I said before, I have used nearly every app of this type one could possible find, including open-source, proprietary programs that are purchased outright, and subscription-based apps with a monthly pricing model, and although it is a high-quality program with many great features, there are just too many competitors that are a better choice. Also, its monthly price ticket is just a deal breaker for me.

Pros

I really use mind-mapping/diagramming software a lot, and I've tried nearly every one available on Windows, so I have high standards for these programs. Lucidchart stands out among competitors because of the plethora of features available. It allows you to import just about any type of media one might need to incorporate, it has any kind of template one could think to use, and just about everything is customizable.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Lucidchart is the monthly subscription-based pricing model. This is the kind of software I like to own outright, and paying a monthly fee is somewhat burdensome. There are enough monthly subscriptions in my life as it is, I don't need another one.

Switched from

[Mindomo](https://www.capterra.com/p/80206/Mindomo/)

I wanted to find a program with more practical features than Minomo, so I tried the free version of Lucidchart. I was pleased with it for a while, but wanted premium features without paying a premium monthly price. I've since switched to MindManager.

Pros

Lucidchart is what I turn to when I am looking to create decision-making charts. I like that it offers a wide array of diagramming templates which ease the entire process involved when creating flowcharts and mind maps.

Cons

I have used Lucidchart for nearly five years now and the only issue that I encounter when using my iPhone is how I am forced to switch apps when looking to use whiteboards which are available in a separate L.Spark iOS program.

Cons

I honestly thought this would be another tool gathering dust after the free trial. I was wrong. I use it twice a week now to walk clients through our GPS tracking workflows and response procedures. Just being able to share a link instead of wrestling with PDF attachments makes my job way easier. It’s definitely worth the cost for a small team like ours.

Pros

Last Tuesday I mapped out our whole incident escalation process for a new client onboarding. It only took twenty minutes, which beats the usual back-and-forth email mess. I expected the diagram software to be clunky like everything else we've tried, but the connector lines actually stay attached when you move the boxes around.

Cons

The template library has maybe two things relevant to security work, so I ended up building my own from scratch. It’d be nice if they added some industry-specific options. The mobile app is pretty limited, too, especially when I’m on the road and need to pull up a chart during a client call.

My overall experience with Lucidchart has been positive. It is easy to learn, works well for creating clear diagrams and flowcharts, and has a good range of templates and tools. It has made it easier to organise ideas and present information clearly.

Pros

I liked Lucidchart because it is easy to use and makes creating diagrams, flowcharts, and process maps simple. The templates are helpful, and it is easy to organise ideas and share diagrams with others.

Cons

The main thing I liked least about Lucidchart is that some of the more useful features are only available on the paid plans. It can also take a little time to get used to when creating more detailed diagrams.

When I've used it I've achieved really good results. If you have large requirements for diagrams and workflow processes it can be really beneficial to illustrate ideas or reports. Just be prepared to spend a significant amount of money on it if you want to maximise its capabilities.

Pros

The drag and drop function is really good for flowcharts and diagrams- great for reporting and building out visualisations of ideas. Very Intuitive to use and easy to collaborate with team members on. In real time as well as separately. The template library is also super easy to use.

Cons

The free tier is limited so you very quickly have to start spending money to take advantage of its full capabilities. There can be a degree of feature lag when it comes to larger diagrams etc too

I have mainly used Lucidchart for mind mapping, flowcharts, visualizing workflows, and creating decision-making charts. It has worked well for organizing information and presenting relationships between ideas or process steps in a clear visual format. Overall, it is simple to pick up and useful when a visual representation works better than text.

Pros

Lucidchart is easy to use for mind maps, flowcharts, visual workflows, and decision-making diagrams. Moving and connecting elements is straightforward, which makes it quick to organize ideas and turn them into clear visuals.

Cons

As diagrams become more complex, keeping connectors and layouts clean can require some manual adjustment. It can take a bit of extra effort to keep larger charts visually organized.

Does what we need for visualizing HR processes and org structures. Not cheap, but it beats wrestling with PowerPoint or paying someone to diagram everything manually. I wish there was a better pricing tier for companies our size, we're stuck overpaying for features we'll never touch. Still, it gets the job done without a learning curve.

Pros

We use Lucidchart mostly for mapping out our onboarding processes and org charts. The drag-and-drop interface works well enough that I don't really have to bug anyone for help, which saves me a ton of time. Templates gave us a decent starting point for process flows, though we ended up customizing most of them anyway. Sharing links with clients during consulting engagements is pretty straightforward, too, there's no forcing them to create an account just to view the diagrams.

Cons

The pricing is honestly pretty steep for a small shop like ours. We’re just five people and don’t need half the features in the paid tier, but the free version is way too limited. The mobile app feels really clunky when I’m trying to make quick edits on the go. Sometimes shapes don't align right and I end up wasting time nudging things pixel by pixel. Frustrating.

My overall experience has been nothing but professional. Any issue has been dealt with in real time. Updates and new versions are rolled out at opportune times meaning that you never have down time when needing to use the software. All in a very good professional offering from Lucid chart.

Pros

Lucid Chart has become one of the most valuable tools in my quiver. For the almost negligible cost attached to the the software, it is a must have for any Process Manager and operations team. From process mapping, process optimising and training Lucid chart far outshines any other product in my opinion, simply because of its ease of use and ability to share completed maps and processes with your team. It is an ideal tool for you to be able to scale your business.

Cons

I have yet to find any particular cons attributable to Lucid Chart. It is a tool I relish using as it feeds and encourages your imagination. The template library and templates themselves motivate you to make a simple process as optimal as possible. It is a must have for any fast growing business that
