### "A great out-of-the-box platform with a few missing features"

The slickest and most user-friendly shipping platform I've used, and I have tried a few; however, eventually I felt we could do better with a platform that did not charge per month. That said, Shippo may be a great choice for many people.

Pros

Shippo has a user-friendly dashboard and strong integration with ecommerce platforms; I can see all my orders in one place. In addition, the tracking api updates frequently so my customers can see real-time information.

Cons

Out of the box the integration with WooCommerce does not provide live shipping quotes. I can use a third-party plugin to do this, but then I'm paying for the plugin plus Shippo. That's my second issue: Shippo charges $20/mo. and up for their platform, unless your package count is pretty low.

### "A Refreshingly Simple Shipping Platform That Could Use More Depth"

Overall, Shippo has been a positive experience. We actually prefer it over ShipStation because it's less cumbersome and requires less day-to-day management. Once it's set up correctly, it performs quickly and reliably. That said, it occasionally feels like it's missing the next layer of functionality that growing businesses need. For the price, it's hard to complain too much. It's simple, efficient, and offers solid value, but a few additional features and automation options would elevate it from very good to exceptional.

Pros

Shippo is fast, straightforward, and easy to learn. Compared to other shipping platforms we've used, it introduces far less hassle and feels less bloated. Label creation is quick, integrations work well when configured properly, and the overall experience is efficient. For many small businesses, it strikes an excellent balance between functionality and simplicity.

Cons

Shippo's simplicity can also be its biggest weakness. Some of the automation, reporting, and workflow tools feel too basic, especially as shipping volume grows. I frequently find myself wishing for richer features and more advanced controls without having to move to a more complicated platform. It's very good, but there's definitely room for improvement.

### "Seamless but could use some improvements"

Customer service is very responsive and the web interface is also easy to use. It was also very easy to integrate into our inventory management system and has saved us a lot of time.

Pros

Seamless integration into our inventory management system. It makes shipping domestic packages to our customers so much easier by eliminating double entry.

Cons

Inability to ship internationally because we still need to file EEI with USCBP. It would ideal if Shippo can also offer that service, even if it is paid. Another annoying issue is needing to pay for every single shipment with a different credit card transaction when using Shippo's accounts.

### "The only "con" is NOT using Shippo"

Imagine for a moment you are at a 6-star beach resort on a gorgeous archipelago somewhere. You arrived on a private jet and have been picked up in a limo of your choosing. You are now walking along the beach with sandals in one hand an oversized umbrella and a fruit-laden cocktail in the other. Dolphins are leaping out of the water a few feet (meters) from shore. The sun is reflecting off the crystal blue water. The blood orange and yellow shimmer dances gayly on top of the waves...u get it I think!!!

Pros

Super easy to use and set up and link your various shipping accounts. They make it almost whimsically easy to "test" the product with a forever free account. Savings for free and paid accounts are the same. Today (May 20, 2021) I saved 32% on USPS and a whopping 62% on UPS!! I have been typically just printing labels from the namesake sites and thought the claims of savings were "up to" claims and the reality was going to be fairly negligible. Think eBay and then they turn around a charge you for buying shipping through them completely negating or making it more expensive to ship through eBay. NOT Shippo! Not only is it free and commission-free but they REALLY do have great rates and the savings are LEGIT not "UP TO" BS but real money! Heck if you are an eBay seller you would be foolish if you didn't give Shippo a whirl! So, in short, I love the money I save, the ease of set-up and use and the customer support is fast and furious. I HATE bot customer support in general but Shippo is pretty, pretty, pretty good too!

Cons

Overall with the free account that I have, I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it. If I wanted to channel my inner "Karen" I could groan loudly in my best Jewish whine, I want to integrate more shipping channels without paying to upgrade, but free UPS and USPS are good enough for my needs!

ShipHero struck me as more commercially. Not sure. Just didn't feel like it was quite the right fit and I wasn't much for them as my needs are onesie twosies vs. lots of packages every day out the door. Stamps.com - expensive and their integrations kinda sucked or were a pain in the petunias to set-up. (Mind you, my patience is ZERO when stuff doesn't go smoothly) so no offense to stamps.com or the users that love them.

As a small business, it is very important for me to save time and money whenever possible, and I think that Shippo was not just the best option for my business in terms of services provided, but also the most cost effective and easy to implement.

Pros

I use Shippo as an integration with Wix, and the process of adding the extension was simple, easy, and efficient. Once integrated with my website, Shippo allowed me to seamlessly prepare shipping labels for jewelry orders placed on my website.

Cons

During the set-up process I encountered a small bug in the integration, but upon reaching out to Shippo support, the issue was quickly addressed and I was able to move forward. I have not encountered any further bugs.

I do not enjoy international shipping. We do not have weight for all our products so we tend to use worldship for our international shipping

Pros

Very easy to use printing labels direct at home saves time and money for a small company like ourselves.

Cons

We have never had an issue with Shippo. The system is easy to navigate and has lead to zero problems in our merchandise fulfillment.

I used shipstation for a long time until I realized how much it was costing. I heard shippo did the same thing but was cheaper so I switched my business from shipstation to shippo. I sell on eBay Amazon and shopify

Sometimes you have to renter your online marketplace APIs to keep it synced.

I love shippo, because even when you save some a dollar for each shipping label, it adds up, and when you have hundreds of orders you can easily save hundreds of dollars.

Pros

The easy integration with my e-commerce in Shopify is awesome and it saves me money by reducing shipping costs.

Sometimes the tracking updates can be delayed, and carrier options may be limited depending on the shipping location.

My experience has been wonderful. I have 0 complaints & love the ease of use, affordability & options Shippo provides.

Pros

I love that Shippo links directly to my website. It not only automatically brings orders into the program for easy use, it also automatically send my customers their tracking information without me having to do anything extra! The prices are very fair & I like that there is no monthly fee.

Cons

I wish there was an “address book” of sorts, so I could save the names/addresses of the people I ship to most often.

Overall my experience has been a 10/10. In about 90% of shipments the rates on shippo are the best and the process is the quickest I’ve used.

Pros

The setup was a breeze and the rates are extremely competitive. One of my favorite features is the auto fill function with addresses. Payment is very straightforward and I enjoy reviewing the monthly reports on all my shipments.

Cons

The only negative I can say is that occasionally the auto fill on the address will pull something that is incorrect. I’ve had one package be shipped to the wrong address because of this. Luckily the address didn’t exist so the package was returned, but it took a full week to get it back and we had to reimburse the customer for the delay. I would suggest creating a review/confirm field after you click buy that allows you to review the final label for accuracy prior to it being purchased. I would have caught the error that way.

I switched because there was no monthly retainer charge as the number of shipments I send can vary drastically each month. So I wanted something that charged per shipment and not a minimum cost just to have an account. I also moved away from usps directly because their prices are just too high and their website is not good for anything other than priority mail.

I like the easy integration and streamlined packing and shipping for my business. I can group similar weighted items and print labels in batches along with free manifest forms that make it easy for USPS to handle my packages in bulk.

Cons

It would be useful to have a data export feature for shipments. Logistic data analytics would help small businesses more!

All in all, excellent except as noted above

Pros

I like the fact that it was not complicated to learn. It was very easy and logical. I get great value on my printed labels and The Shippo Insurance appears to be a great value too! I like the fact that I can choose between multiple shipping methods even though USPS in by far my chosen method. Record keeping is a snap with the ability to download orders or shipments and I also receive emails from Shippo every time I buy 1 label or multiple at a time. I like the fact that I get a copy of the label (great for reprints and records and invoices too)! I have multiple online stores and my order are imported in and in many cases I automatically designate box size and weight.

Cons

I do not like the fact that I can not import and combine orders going to the same buyer. (it saves me shipping and insurance cost)! This needs to be changed. I have twice asked support for this and have not gotten a reasonable answer. The other problem I have had is that I have two stores with eBay and when I have to change a password on one I have to delete both and reinstall. Treating each store as independent of the other would allow me to delete one and not have to reinstall both!

Reason for choosing Shippo

After my bad experience with Stamps they offered me a stronger deal. Too Late. After looking at ShipStation, ShippingEasy, and ShipWorks I discovered they were owned or controlled by stamps.com. I gave up an eight year relation with Stamps.com and did not want to fall back in their trap. I chose Shippo because they were independent and had top-notch reviews. It was a great choice!

Pros

The Shippo software has worked great. I do not think there would be a more economical product out there on the market. Shippo is really reasonable in their rates and this helps with a smaller company. The only comment I would make in regards to improvement is it would be nice if the Live Chat was available more often. There have been a number of times that I have not been able to reach via live chat and have to send and wait for an email response. But they are good at responding. The live chat does help as often the question comes up as you are trying to ship and need to "chat" right away. Thank you, to all of you at Shippo for making shipping easy and economical and thank you for your great customer support.

Pros

This product has integrated very well with BigCommerce and works great. Provides all the features required to print shipping labels etc.

Cons

The only con is what is mentioned below regarding that it would be helpful if the Live Chat was available more often.

Overall my experience has been outstanding. I can't believe how easy it and cost-effective it makes my shipping process. Shipping is my biggest headache in my business and this has streamlined it so much that I now actually look forward to getting to go on Shippo because I know it will be easy.

Pros

Shippo has hands-down the best rates for all shipping companies, that I've found, including at the shipping companies' own store locations. I use UPS and USPS most frequently and always get better rates on Shippo then I do in-person at their locations.

Cons

The only complaint I have is that sometimes an address will auto-populate that's close to the address I'm typing in, but not the correct one. It's almost like it will sometimes not find the street address that I need so instead it auto-populates the nearest address, even though it's the wrong one. Sometimes I don't even notice this until it's too late because it just auto-populates and I assume it was finding the correct address.

Pros

Free plan gives you all you need. Not sure if the paid plan is really worth it unless you want personalized branding.

Cons

Costumer service can be a hit or miss when it comes to both knowledge and timing. Invoice are a bit confusing, not sure when they charge an invoice, but it gets old seeing so many invoice in a day instead of one large bill at the end. This also can cause confusion with the bank.

They have not actually refunded me money that they say has been refunded.

Pros

Shippo makes it so easy to send a package. I like that you can get a shipping quote from multiple shipping companies.

Cons

I did not use two labels. They say I have been refunded, but the money is not in my account. There is no phone number to call, and I have been back and forth through email multiple times and they just give me the runaround.

Shippo helps us to quickly get through our orders with how it syncs with our Godaddy store. As a small business, Shippo streamlines our process so that we can concentrate on our customers.

Pros

I truly enjoy that the process is easy and it states clearly what my choices are. Searching for customers is easy as well. I have been using Shippo for years and have never had any mistakes or mess-ups in tracking or anything. Everything is up to date and quickly editable.

Cons

I do not like that if I go in and edit an address in the software and save it- it is not permanent. And I have to create that label right there if I want to save the address I changed it to. I don't know if it is my browser or not, but this has been and issue. Also, if I update an address on my selling platform, it doesn't sync with Shippo. But other than that I am happy with it.

Shippo was reality synced with our online shopping platform. We have stuck with it because it is dependable and we know it well.

It works for my business but I wish is was easier to use.

Pros

cheapest rates, easy to print off labels

Cons

features are confusing and hard to navigate. Very simple tasks require lots of google searching. Why can't I delete a label if I made a mistake on it? How do I edit the address of a label if the weight and dimensions are exactly the same? How do I make a label template? Customers service conversations are lengthy and do not always answer my question.
