Overall: I've used and taught with WebHarvy for about 3-4 years. I use it for research and industry projects. My experience has always been positive. The software is easy to use and pulls data as needed. It is also fast and further updates from its inception have made it only faster. Any question is responded quickly and professionally from the tech support staff, including customized code one might need to scrape difficult websites. Overall WebHarvy is truly a "hidden gem" in the arena of web scraping.

Pros: WebHarvy is easy to use, is able to pull the data I need from most websites, and is priced at an affordable level for any type of organization including even entrepreneurs and small startups.

Cons: I would like to see a Mac version of WebHarvy.

Alternatives Considered: import.io and Mozenda

Reasons for Choosing WebHarvy: Extremely more affordable and suits my needs given the size of my projects. As long as one has a fast enough computer to be able to gather data off the Web efficiently, WebHarvy is a real contender.

Reasons for Switching to WebHarvy: Server-side options like import.io and Mozenda are great but they are very expensive.

Overall: This is great for non programmers and easy to use. I LOVE the customer service team. They reply my answers promptly in the email. I think the tech support team is the most valuable customer experience part for this product.

Pros: It is relatively easy to use. Customer Support team has been a great help.

Cons: Unstable. For example, I use the same .xml file in scheduled scrapping, it gives me different output, e.g., omitting some pages.

Overall: Great experience

Pros: I have downloaded few web scraping programmes and I spent days trying to figure out how to use them. In the end I tried Webharvey and I was using it within minutes . Also, it took time figuring out how to do the pagination of booking comments, and I wrote an email to the support and got the answer within an hour. To sum up its a great tool to scrap comments for those who dont programm.

Cons: It takes around 4 hours to scrape thousands of comments but I understand that the programm has to open every page individually and the speed depends more of the page that you scrape the comments from

Pros: The Simplicity Of Not Needing To Know Or Understand Coding & Such Complicated Applications such as Python.. Plus Mathew & Virat are Always To My Rescue With Professionalism That Is Beyond Words That Can Describe, When Ever I Am In A technical Jam They Have Not Been Unable To Find Me A Solution To My Problem - They Are Both Worth there Weight In Gold ! Cons: Not Happy With Some Of the auto save Features, Apparently the Mining Console Window Disappears after auto save..

Overall: I am trying to find an efficient and accurate way of capture web data and transfer the data into excel format for further analysis. WebHarvy has met my objectives and I will have the flexibility of saving a configuration, edit and deploy again and again, saving much valuable time and money.

Pros: To me, the support given by the WebHarvy Support Engineer, is of upmost importance. As a new user, whenever I am not sure of any step in "How To do this or that", I am able to rely on their 5 Stars quality responses. It is easy to apply the software's algorithm to configure my specific requirement for web data.

Cons: I would like to learn more about the use of Regular Expression.

Overall: My overall experience of using web-Harvey has been great over the last three years. The software has improved significantly over the period and works almost flawlessly, for otherwise a relatively complicated task i.e. web-scrapping. Also, the team is super responsive and supportive, which ensures that one is not stuck.

Pros: WebHarvey is the best data scraping tool out there and has many pros: 1. Capturing fields from the website are relatively easy. 2. The new edition (Version 6), works very fast and is fast. 3. The software is cheap, comes with a lifetime validity (unlike others which charge monthly), and allows for unlimited data download. 4. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, if one is not able to scrape a website, they immediately post a video. 5. Ample tutorials (both brief and advanced ones) on the website (www.webharvey.com) and tutorial videos on YouTube makes usage hassle-free. 6. Cheap, Cheap & Super Cheap: The biggest pros of webharvey is that comes with advanced web-scraping features and is one of the cheaptest software for scraping.

Cons: The only cons I have faced at times is that the software enters the next cell value when a particular data field on the website is empty. However, this happens rearelly. Also, this can be taken care of at post-processing stage.

Overall: Day by day webharvy is improving a lot and becoming smarter day by day. So I would rate 4.8 of 5.

Pros: I can scrape any website till now either this way or that way.

Cons: Few websites like eBay, I have other good option in terms of speed.

Reasons for Choosing WebHarvy: it's not dependent on the language of the website in which it is coded, but few others in my knowledge are dependent on the coding of the website.

Overall: I have earn thought of dollars by using WebHarvy. I like it but mining speed very slow.

Pros: WebHarvy is easy to use. Very user friendly. It can handle more data capture easily other than software or coding.

Cons: Everything is good but mining speed very slow than Octoparse. So, I decided to use Octoparse.

Overall: We set out to mine specific data from a website and were able to extract all the crucial information and more using WebHarvy. We were able to use this data for multiple analyses and plan to capture more periodically.

Pros: WebHarvy has been a fantastic utility for our projects that require compiling data via web-scraping. I do not have a background in code-writing, nor have I used any other software that served a data-mining purpose but WebHarvy was very user-friendly (If you go through the tutorials). When I ran into an issue pertaining to the site I was scraping, one quick email to the customer rep, a WebHarvy Support Engineer, resulted in step-by-step instructions and a how-to video being posted on their youtube channel specifically catered to my work needs. I can't say enough good things about WebHarvy Support. My direct supervisor recently attended a conference and recommended WebHarvy to four other jurisdictions to assist them with their regulatory needs.

Cons: My only suggestion would be to possibly include a "Text to Columns" conversion tool for post-.csv extraction. Time spent on this project definitely bottle-necked around when cleaning up the .csv document.

Overall: I've used this tool for several projects related to data mining, lead generation, etc. I've probably used it 30+ times in the last 2 years. I've always been more than satisfied with the results. It's also very flexible in terms of how it can be applied to different data scenarios.

Pros: The best part of being a WebHarvy user is the consistent level of detailed and relevant support I receive about using the product. The technical aspects of the tool can be challenging if you aren't well versed in tech language, but the support is timely, clear, straightforward and really makes all the difference in the world.

Cons: I have no complaints. I've used it for various projects, and never had an issue.
