The ability to connect with other users has been great. There is so much more to learn. Cons The reporting seems more cumbersome after coming from the ACS People version. The email function works pretty good, too, however, has its limitations. Cons I wish the email interfaced with MailChimp, or, that you could put out nice looking graphics with your email. As the software is starting, though, it still leaves much to be desired in the actually application of the product and ease of use. Pros Realm has all the features you could want. It would be excellent for one starting out with no other database/software in place. It has scheduling, giving, bookkeeping, and more. Really a great product. Cons It is really expensive and you cannot transfer a lot from a current database. If you currently use Quickbooks, you cannot transfer any of that data over. October 24, 2017 5.0 Pros OnRealm meets our church's needs. Overall, it is very intuitive and easy to use. Support is just a phone call away and they are always very helpful. Cons I sometimes have difficulty with the attendance. I may check a person off as attending, but then it doesn't stay highlighted. I have to go back and recheck names many times. I like being able to check information at home. Also like parshioners sign-in capability. Cons Not always intuitive and harder to find some features that I'm use to with ACS. Reports do not provide the same amount of detail that I'm use to so have to go to several locations for almost as much information. Admin Assistant Used the software for: ### "Impression of Realm" June 8, 2016 4.0 I attended the Realm sessions at the 2016 conference & fell in love. I'm hoping we make the switch by the end of the year (from The City). I volunteered at a ministry that uses ServantKeeper. It's functional for their purposes but a little clunky. The church I worked for last year used PowerChurch and it was quite good for their congregation of 130. But Realm looks to beat the socks off both of those. It's user friendly, intuitive, clean, practical and oh so pretty! I'm rating it a 4 just because I haven't actually used it, but wanted to give my impression as compared to the other two softwares. Also like the cloud-based feature so we don't have to worry about backups. Cons I have very little to complain about with this software. Occasionally the print function is a bit slow. November 16, 2017 4.0 Quick, effective communication Pros I think realm is a great resource for churches to create their own iunique social network or space. Through multi-level communication, community building, and announcements, realm is a neat experiment in tailored social, online connections for churches. Cons In creating a social network, it can at times become just another social media platform, or another news feed you feel you have to keep track of or maintain to some extent. In other words, it can become a bit more like a newsletter service than anything else depending on the culture of the church and buy in. Review Source WV Whitni V. I also like that my husband (one of the pastors) can find any informafion he needs at any time and it makes giving very easy. Cons I have had a hard time learning it. When it comes to managing groups, it works really well, it just has a steep learning curve for people that aren't as tech savvy which is the case for a lot of our group leaders. The tool is very user friendly and intuitive. We just switched from another system and the transition was easy because of the mass upload functionality and the plethora of training materials / help guides. Cons I wish there was a way to autoselect a service - our church has 2 different services and it would be helpful to see this functionality autopopulated so that we don't need to click for each person we're checking in. Realm is far prettier and more user-friendly than Peoplesuite, but it still has a long way to go in developing reports and other functionality. Pros It is very easy for people who are new to Realm to figure out how to use it. I have received great feedback from those few in our staff and congregation who have tried it. Cons The reports are few, and the ability to export a custom report to Excel is not there yet. I can't wait until Payroll is ready in Realm, so that we can add financials. Review Source CE Cullen E.
