Pros User friendly and easy to find what I'm looking for. Reports are easy to understand. Easy to find what I am looking for. Cons It does not have Payroll which have us to work out of another software for that purpose. When calling Realm it does take a bit long for someone to answer the phone, i understand you are helping other people situations as well and i thank you for helping me every time i call. July 17, 2018 4.0 Provides another tool for improved communications with congregation. Used by staff to manage people's information and giving. We use Checkin weekly for 120 students and approximately 500 children. We are still ramping up Realm use within our 200+ small groups, but those group leaders who have embraced it are fans! Pros Realm is generally intuitive and easy to use. We are pleased to see the new features rolling out this year and the roadmap planned for 2019. Cons As a new product, it still needs more granularity in reporting capability. There is a place to find out everything you would need to know about what they are involved in the church. The group features and pathways are so easy to work with. Allowing leaders to see some but not all of the profiles is great. Taking attendance while in class is helpful. Just started using the accounting part - still learning. Pros The Customer Service. They are the best of anyone I deal with. They have never sounded put off by helping us. They know the product well enough to have never had to "put me through to another dept." where we all know usually means disconnection. We don't use all of the features but I want to learn more so I can see how we can use Realm in other areas. Pros I love the Contributions capabilities. The check scanning makes data entry much easier and is a great way to keep the giving records accurate. I also love the Custom Report functionality. I am able to get reports quickly and very easily. Cons Sometimes when I click the back arrow a pop up box appears where I have to click the ALLOW box to continue. It is an extra step and I don't see the value. Review Source Amy S. Owner & CEO Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Realm is a software I use when I volunteer with my church" November 17, 2017 4.0 The key benefits that I get is being about to create and communicate with GROUPS within our church. I can communicate with them easily and mark attendance for when the groups meet. I feel that I need to learn about all the features about Realm and that will take time. From the Check In feature to the Attendance tracker, I really need to spend a day to understand everything that Realm can do for me and my church. Pros Realm really is a great tool to assist our church ministry. I really enjoy the user experience in terms of being about to use Realm from my laptop, smartphone or tablet. It is very easy to send out mass emails to various church groups within our ministry like the book club, flower guild and youth events. The member profile piece is easy to use and customize. I can track church member contributions, family situation and what activities they are involved with at our church. The Small Group Activity area is VERY helpful because I can attach and track members of certain groups with our church and they can communicate within that group through Realm and no one will get emails that are not relevant to them. Cons The system does not have some of the best features available to pull into reports, the directory function should allow for mailing and physical address to be displayed. It works great as a communication platform for the staff and volunteers as well. Reports are great to work with as far as contributions. Cons Events can be tricky to set up as well as the payment reports lay out. Was able to add fields we wanted. Had great help getting the changes from the support folks. They are always helpful and guide you as needed. Pros The ease of use. Dashboards shows you at a glance so many items in the database. Counts of people, age groups when you add birth dates. Family count and average size of family. Numbers of ministry groups and member numbers. Allows you to get into groups and see who members are. We send email to group, individual or whole congregation that have email. Cons Not much I don't like. The product is always improving. Sometime a change goes into effect and the way I move in the database changes. I don't like this but it makes things better. Overall it is very easy to use and makes my job easier which is always the goal with software. It gives me more functionality than I ever had before. Planting churches isn't easy, but Realm has made it a lot easier. We've been able to communicate with each other and keep focused as we moved from our planting stage to our public ministry phase. We are beginning a new discipleship track and Pathways will help us keep this organized. Pros The ease in finding people. Simply start typing a name and options pop up quickly. The check-in kiosk was a big factor in our purchase. The help feature is excellent. Click on the question mark on any page and immediately go to help for the page you are on. Online contributions post automatically when they hit the bank. Cons Because it is new, reports are somewhat limited. We were used to many reports and many options to customize them. The Family Directory looks good but the only option you have is what families to include, you cannot customize the information. For example, birthdays aren't included. I can't print a group of profiles at the same time. This would be a useful tool for our Deacon Family Ministry plan. The most I can print is a family profile. Review Source BJ Bill J.
