February 2, 2019 5.0 Without a doubt my experience has been great with Realm. Their support team absolutely can't be beat. If I call in with a question they help me immediately and know their product. I have never been disappointed with their knowledge. Pros I have used Realm for only a short time but used ACS Technologies before joining the Realm Team. I'm sold on this software. The list of what it will do is endless. Right now I'm still challenged to do everything I want to do but I have no doubt when I have a few more months under my belt that I will be thoroughly familiar with what is available and the best way to use this. They also have a Realm University that makes available extra training. Thanks Realm! Cons Nothing against Realm, it just takes time to learn everything and it doesn't happen over night. Pros Our congregation loves the online giving feature, the directory and the communication tools. Cons Not all of our congregation members were able to find the communications easy to use. June 27, 2017 5.0 I think the tithing entry is much easier and the screen is so much better to read. I think it is faster to enter data. Pros I am looking forward to the contributions for tithing through online giving! That excites me so much. I cannot wait until the day I can eliminate double entries! We use the phone application to stay connected with leaders at our church with updates or calendar events but also use it for kids check in during the sunday service. June 13, 2018 5.0 Pros I'm in Realm accounting all day. It's intuitive and easy to navigate. Predefined reports are extremely helpful when I need detail and dashboards are convenient when I just need a quick snapshot of data. Cons If I have one ongoing frustration with Realm it's the patriarchal hierarchy (Head, then Spouse). Family units are sometimes more complicated than that simple set of definitions. July 25, 2018 5.0 We were able to consolidate member information, financial information, and other important church data into a single system. Pros The Dashboard, the ability to enter and track pledges, and the ability for parishioners to use online giving. I also like the Event and Group functionality. Pastor Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Great Modern Church Management for All Kinds of Churches" December 31, 2016 5.0 We switched from The City to Realm this year and have been greatly pleased. The Realm is well suited for church leaders to organize the various ministry and small groups of the church. Reports can be customized for any data in the system and emails sent to highly customized dynamic lists. The online giving experience is very good and we have seen increased levels of giving because of it. There are still a few features in development that we are waiting for, including enhanced communication and volunteer capabilities. However, the Realm certainly is very capable at this stage and is the best church management system we are aware of. It is suitable for new church plants, existing churches of all sizes and multi-site churches. Pros The ease of use for church leaders and administrators, as well as church members. Cons The Communications and Volunteer capabilities are still under development. Review Source DS Debra S. July 19, 2018 4.0 Relatively easy to use and it gives us most of the features we need as a small church. Customer support is exceptional Pros Being available on the cloud. Training videos help in that you can see it actually being done. Customer support is the best. Cons Need more search options. Reports need more customizable options. The ultimate value for small-scale ministries" June 23, 2018 5.0 Immense and lasting one that help to manage our ministry government and membership needs at reasonable costs for a very small fellowship Pros Simple to use, powerful ministry management feature "out of the box," and robust analysis/reporting tools where the entire package allows users easy web/internet access and usage. Tracks multiple campaigns. Reports are preset and print easily - simple to generate giving statements for members. Connects multiple family members into one giving unit. The support staff is knowledgable, easy to talk to and helpful. They don't make you feel like your questions are dumb. June 8, 2016 5.0 REALM is a great new software that integrates all the wonderful software tools that ACS offers into one! The updated platform and functionality add intuitiveness and functionality. The roll out pace of additional features is unprecedented. We're working on transitioning and initially thought that date would be next summer; however, after working with Mark Burkhart and talking with other REALM staff at ACS, we could possibly transition as early as this summer. The best part of all - this new shiny model is not more expensive! One of the most impressive features are the dashboards available for giving, attendance and membership. Dashboards keep your members, visitors and other crucial information up front and visible every time you log in. Much better than having to run reports. ACS truly wants to help its church customer base minister to others more efficiently. CONS: Any change can be challenging, especially for non-profits like churches. We added 2 new components - Facility Scheduler and Access - 2 years ago and switched to ACS financials a month ago. We introduced it to our membership 1 year ago. " July 31, 2017 5.0 Pros Easy to use and very intuitive. The conversion and implementation went very smooth. Weekly updates are great and working with developers is a plus. Cons Accounting part is not quite there yet. There are still a few bugs that are not fixed yet and should be. I like how we can open it with our mobile platforms. The online and text giving is a great convenience. The member database is also a plus. Cons I wish we could customize the reports more. We also cant get the labels formatted using different labels such as Avery or Xerox. We have to output the labels and copy and paste it into a label template with Word. I also wish we can search by using nick names or alias. In our cukture, we have English names and elder or Hmong names as well. Review Source MH Michael H. While it has not been smooth, their customer support has always been there to help. Pros It is easy to learn the basics, and hit the ground running. November 9, 2017 4.0 Easy tracking, simple to use, easy to teach others how to use the system. Pros I like the tracking features and the help menu is great. It is really nice to be able to take attendance for all our groups and have it in one central location. Cons Sometimes it is difficult to get to a page, just a lot of steps to get to a location. Also, it shows features that are not always available if you don't have the upgraded Realm (like check in and pathway notifications) that you think you can use, but then can't if you don't have the upgrade. February 13, 2018 5.0 Pros Ease of use makes our staff more likely to use it and engage with our congregation through Pathways. The dashboard an amazing tool that helps me keep the database clean. Cons Check scanning lost its ability to deposit to our checking account. I now have to scan a second time with our bank software.
