There are a few key providers in our industry for this type of system but Mountain Stream is worth every penny... Pros We had outgrown our in-house designed spreadsheet management system for orders and production management. Over the course of six months we reviewed multiple systems but one stood out above and beyond the rest - - Mountain Stream. The system is intuitive and easy to navigate but the willingness of our sales team to have us try it out for a couple months with no commitment was massive. We spent lots of hours stress testing (we did try to push it to the limits -- but the solution was already in the program) the system to ensure it not only met our current demand but also future client requests. Gone are the manual entry errors by our team because our clients now input directly into the system. Gone are maintaining Excel links to ensure the numbers propagate. Gone are the hand written notes for delivery, packing slips are made automatically for each account. Gone are simple mistakes that drove us crazy... We have now started to input recipes to get nutritional data and manage our raw materials. There are many more capabilities but these are the ones that matter to us now. Mountain Stream is a must for anyone wanting to reduce waste and optimize the order to fulfillment process. Cons This is a massive program with so many features that you really need to spend time getting buy-in from your team. Updating/loading recipes, order requirements, production timing, and packing information takes a lot of time as we produce over 500 unique items. It took us a while to migrate but once we did we have never looked back.
