Jolt has served me and my team well despite the location issue but it definitely makes scheduling easier with lots of options for team communication.

Pros

The best feature to me about Jolt is that I can easily see who did specific tasks and when. Other great features that make this a good tool is the ease of use like the drag and drop features, and mobile access so my staff can see their shifts and changes in real time.

Cons

As most of my team is deployed across multiple towns and cities it is nice to see where they are and how far they are from their next task which Jolt is lacking to effectively do this. I have also found the cost to be a little more than it should be for the quality of product.

I loved Jolt. It was great creating tasks for my staff to complete. Adding pictures was a great add on to review certain tasks.

Pros

My favorite feature of Jolt was the task management. I loved creating tasks with reminders for my staff to complete.

Cons

It seemed a little outdated back when I used Jolt for my scheduling and task managing. I will need to try it again to have a better understanding.

Very helpful app with a clever design and a highly useful dashboard, but it is a bit pricey for small businesses. It has a steep learning curve initially, but for medium-sized businesses that can afford it, the platform is a big help.

Pros

Very effective for tracking tasks and overall work. Employees' productivity increases significantly when using Jolt. A helpful dashboard utilizing charts makes it easy to track work across different departments and locations.

Cons

The mobile app can be quite unreliable; it is slow and sometimes freezes up. It can also be a little complicated to learn initially. Setting up workflows and scheduling takes a significant amount of time and effort. Additionally, it can be a bit pricey for small businesses.

For a small language school like ours, Jolt brought structure we desperately needed. Before this, we used paper lists and WhatsApp messages, total mess. Now everyone knows their responsibilities, from preparing lesson materials to locking up. It's not perfect for education environments, but it works well enough for our needs.

Pros

The checklist feature saved us from chaos, we track which classrooms have materials ready, who cleaned the whiteboards, even coffee machine maintenance. Our admin \[sensitive content hidden\] can assign tasks to instructors between classes. The mobile app works great when I'm rushing between buildings. Price is reasonable for our small team compared to other platforms we tested.

Cons

Sometimes the notification system sends too many alerts about minor updates. The reporting dashboard could show more details about completed tasks by instructor. Also wish we could customize task categories specifically for educational settings instead of using generic labels.

My overall experience with Jolt has been positive. It’s a useful platform for improving team accountability, scheduling, and operational consistency. While it has some limitations in customization, it helps keep daily workflows organized and efficient.

Pros

What I liked most about Jolt is how it streamlines operations with easy-to-use scheduling, task management, and accountability tools, helping teams stay organized and efficient in real time.

Cons

What I liked least about Jolt is that it can feel limited in customization and reporting flexibility, and some features require time to fully learn and implement effectively.

Alternatives considered

[7shifts](https://www.capterra.com/p/123038/7shifts-Restaurant-Scheduling/)

[Connecteam](https://www.capterra.com/p/153140/Connecteam/)

Reasons for choosing Jolt

We chose Jolt because it was more operations-focused and better suited for managing daily team accountability, checklists, and compliance workflows in real time. Compared to Connecteam, 7shifts, Homebase, and Zoho Projects, it offered stronger structured task execution, role-based assignments, and operational tracking rather than just scheduling or general project management. It also fit better for environments needing consistent process control and visibility across staff activities, which was a key deciding factor.

Overall, great onboarding and digital checklists are nice. I would like to take the time to review other similar checklist services to say it is the best one out there, but false promises and poor service above all makes Jolt not one I would want to do business with. Thankfully, this only affects one of our locations as I only wanted to test things out. I will not be doing business with them ever again. My advice, approach with caution and change the terms so they aren’t locking you in for services that don't work.

Pros

The digital checklists are great. Relatively easy to customize. It gets a little complicated if you have multiple brands. I only signed on one location as a trail, but considered my other locations and brands during set up to allow for flexibility to add them.

Cons

The labeling service was awful- the printer works maybe 20% of the time and when I asked for them to remove it because it didn’t work, their response was I signed a contact and am obligated to pay for the broken service. Needless to say, customer service is poor.

I would say I had a great experience with jolt, I just don’t need to use it anymore once my business minimized to be self sufficient

Pros

The checklists and organization systems is what I liked the most about Jolt. There are ways to hold you team accountable with this platform in a professional way

Cons

Technical issues running the app. Had experiences with glitches a lot for the short amount of time I used it

Not ideal. I would never order or spend any money through them again if it was not for the fact I already bought the 2.5k in machines.

Pros

Once set up properly for labels it works well. Use them for printing ingredient labels for my products and date codes for ingredients.

Cons

Customer service is worse than any other company I have ever dealt with. Email them constantly and call and they never fix anything or do what they said they would. Never had one issue with them fixed even though they gladly have taken thousands from me.
