There's sports equipment for residents to check out and use, there's tons of tools for our large maintenance staff: ladders, sprayers, blowers, hammer drills, etc... and our previous method was writing things on clipboards. It was terrible and rarely was used at all, and definitely not effectively. TrackItLog let us know who had items, sent reminders to the phone of the person who checked it out, and sent reports to let us know if things weren't returned on time. It made keeping track of our items a thousand times easier and more effective. Keys! OMG, do you have any idea how many vendors we use and how many staff need to check out keys? It can be a nightmare to know that someone didnt' return something on time. But TrackItLog makes it immediate and keeps things from being lost by the people who check them out. It's a god send and such a simple idea. Our staff loves it and I don't know how people can still use a clipboard after this. Pros Easy to use, makes tracking items/keys super easy and timely. Because you write it down on a clipboard (at best) or don't write it down at all and then Don takes the ladder and brand new pressure washer somewhere and then leaves it laying in the grass when it's time to go to lunch. When Don come back from lunch, wouldn't you know it ' pressure washer is gone. Sure, your janky ladder is still there, but nobody wants that rickety 18' ladder. You don't even want it. So a couple of days later, you need the pressure washer and you think, didn't Don have that last? "Hey Don, where's the P-dub?" And inevitably, Don is going to do what he does best - act dumb. "No idea boss. Maybe Louis had it last?" and you won't be sure, because of course there's no record of it. Louis can't recall where he left his safety googles (clipped to his shirt) so who's to say for sure? All you know is the P-dub has slipped into a pocket dimension, never to be heard from again and you have to gently explain that it's gone to a better place and you need approval for another grand to get a new one. But in the back of your mind, you're pretty sure Don is going to lose that one too. 'Why god? Why have you forsaken me with the likes of Don & Louis who can somehow manage to lose an aircraft carrier in a bathtub?' Sure, they're swell guys but last week Don couldn't find his car keys for six hours (break room freezer) so isn't there a better way? Ask and ye shall receive. TrackitLog allows you to sign out everything you want in a matter of seconds. It keeps a record, sends reminders to the person who checked it out to return it via text, and lets whomever is managing the inventory see everything on the fly.
