It's easy to teach all employees how to use it. Pros This products helps us generate very easy to read field reports and punchlists. The format is great and the app is easy to use. Cons The only difficulty we had with this product is adding comments / marking up a photo. The process is not intuitive. However, with a little practice it's not too difficult. Helped us learn the program much quicker and lead our company to purchasing the software. Pros This is a great time saver for issuing Field Observation Reports. Not only does it save time in the office by automatically formatting the document, it also saves time in the field since we're able to make quick notes in the iPad app. Top notch customer service and technical assistance - extremely responsive and helpful. Cons Time is always limited in the Construction Administration phase so it was difficult finding time to learn the new program. But investing the initial time definitely saves time in the long run. Features we would like to see: 1. Adding a weather tab that is linked to a weather website to add the weather conditions of the report. 2. Adding the ability to track open items and to add a list to the back of each report the open items from previous reports. 3. More tools for drawing on photos - straight lines and dotted lines. Simple interface for defect reporting and a very professional final report. Had many clients ask what we used for our reports. Pros Portability, interface is very intuitive and easy to use, final report quality. Cons It's not the cheapest out there. Not sure if its really a con as you do get a professional outcome when using ArchiSnapper. You do get what you pay for... Pros You can see that the program was designed by people related to the construction industry. Voice to text, inserting photos automatically in the report and add an observation directly on a floor plan are features that help a lot to make the report quickly and precisely. Unfortunately we were hoping for more customization and editing abilities. Pros It is easy and efficient to incorporate site photos into a field report in real -time. Can eliminate multiple steps of field report, punch list process for architects. Cons Very rigid, spreadsheet like formatting with little opportunity for customization. Our firm was hoping for opportunities to highlight or emphasize certain elements of the photos, but the text can only be placed in a separate column. Switching between boxes takes time. August 12, 2016 5.0 This is a great tool add notes and take pictures, sketches, PDF annotations, ... on site. The reports are generated automatically and still editable from the desk top version. This app doesn't only save my a lot of time: I had customers and other construction people congratulating me with the professional and very clear field reports. Has all the functions for documenting a project that we need and can attach a lot of data to each observation. Real-time inputs and connectivity to collaborators is also very good. Cons Somewhat cryptic interface for managing the data at times is not intuitive and can result in tedious data entry.
