The problem was that I was so busy handling the increased business that I didn't have time to figure out the structure of a database, find someone to build it and hope that it covered everything, esp. since we were changing our business terms as new information came in. With , I could quickly build a relational database to house info & test structure Pros This is so simple to use that you can be operational in literally minutes and yet it has the power of a relational database. The customer service is exceptional in my opinion because you can get a personal response within a day. Cons It does have some limitations, esp. in the area of printed reports. I believe they have a new feature to address this but I haven't tried it yet. Cons There's a steeper learning curve and the spreadsheet view is quite different from Google sheets or Excel. There's a lot more clicking needed instead of just keyboard operation, which can be less efficient for the user. It is also quite pricy, especially if you are using it for your company. Pros It started with a search to organize and catalog my landscaping plants for personal use. When I created that tool, I found billions of other excuses to use . It allows pictures to be connected to data and displayed in a multitude of ways. You can create an organization tool for anything at all. It's like Pinterest and Excel got married and had a Gerber baby! I've told lots of my creative contacts about it, and they are addicted to it. We look at each other and say... Airtable. It's been helpful, but some of the gaps on the shareable table front make it a little more difficult to use more widely as a team. Pros I really love the organization that you get from which is a step above your regular spreadsheet options. I also like that you can collaborate and push data into the table automatically as well to make it easier to manage. Cons I wish there were more options for the table/static web page view of tables to create a filtered view for users. It's also fairly difficult to manage duplicates. Pros Extremely flexible, as you would expect from database software, with the added convenience of a very friendly interface. Once you get the hang of it (and you get it fairly quickly) it becomes an essential tool in your team. Pros It's a database base management tool in the cloud. Different, but I like it. It would be cool to see more integrations besides Zapier, but overall it's very flexible platform. I love the case study's and the way they get you thinking on the possibilities. They have a promising future of helping small businesses solve problems. Cons The subscription model blows. I can't share a database without having to add a user. This erks me. I should be able to share databases with outside collegues without having to pay for each user. Although it's essentially a dressed up Excel form, it was easier to use and I prefer it. I am not utilizing it to its fullest extent, but I plan to continue exploring the software's capabilities. Pros It has unlimited potential. It's possible to create several databases, and then link certain elements to other databases. For example, I maintain client lists, vendor lists, and property lists. I can add someone from my vendor list to the client list if that vendor did some work for my client, and yet, keep them separate for marketing purposes. Cons There are so many possibilities and ways to use the preset databases, but I didn't necessarily understand all the possibilities and didn't have time to learn as much as I'd have liked. It's not really a complaint about the software so much as the learning tools that are offered. I dislike video tutorials and would rather have a searchable, indexed list to find what I'm looking for. Instead of saving random spreadsheets, I'm able to keep all of my content (blog posts) organized in one place. Pros I heard about because I'm a blogger, and I needed to organize my blog posts as they're growing to the hundreds. I originally had it in a spreadsheet, but I wanted to create relationships between other spreadsheets. This is key because I can keep a master spreadsheet and then create multiple "views" which allows me to see the same data but in different ways. If you make a change once, it makes the changes across all the views, which I couldn't do with a flat spreadsheet. I've just gotten started, and I'm sure I'll just use the very basic functionalities. I'm sure it's all I need though. Cons I was so excited to use this software, but there is a steep learning curve, at least for me. I had to watch the training videos and discover how it works for me.
