Pros Airtable provides so many tools and already build templates, making it an extremely valuable tool for any event organization. Cons Because it has so many features, you have to dig through a lot of material before finding what you need. However, this helps because it can spark new ideas. Pros I love how easy it is to add and manipulate data. Connecting a table to other tables happens in seconds. The ability to embed a publicly viewable embed makes displaying data super easy. Cons Beta features typically don't come with any documentation so it can be tough to understand how to use a new feature. Their support forum is sometimes useful, but it seems email is quicker and more thorough. And I love it. Airtable has finally been the one thing to replace my endless ream of spreadsheets stored on google drive. It's beautiful. It's easy to use. It does everything you need it to do, and does it pleasantly. It's like taking me from a file-o-fax to the digital age. Cons I guess even more graphics options would be great, but that's splitting hairs at this point. I think maybe the paid tier was a little too pricey for me but then again I’m in South Africa so the exchange rate isn’t great Reason for choosing Airtable It was online and easy to collaborate on the table. We love using the tool for planning out training schedules for new hires. Cons There's a bit of a learning curve for Airtable. Cons The platform is missing a few functions (that you would find in excel, google sheets, etc.) that are industry-specific. I loved how it took my design to another level. Also, the comment section was really helpful when I needed the review from my clients as we worked together on the content calendar. Cons It was a bit hard to learn everything and I needed a bit of tutorial, but it was worth it. It is so complex but so fun to use! We are using it for many purposes including organizing public workshop registration, processing insights from research interviews or business model forecasts. Imagine your data split nicely across multiple tables linking seamlessly. No need to patch together spreadsheet "sheets" using lookup formulas so they link. Views are an integral part of it and each table can have multiple views Grid, Calendar, Kanban or Gallery and even a Form that you can embed into other web pages to enter additional data in the table. You can also pour in data from other systems (we load survey responses from Typeform) through API integrations (we use Zapier to do that). If you have some structured data you want to look at in a new way, give Airtable a try. Pros Speed – Airtable is almost as fast as a desktop app. On par with the best. Ease of use – No matter what features you want to use it Product features – Help – As you will need to learn how to use some of the features Airtable offers, their help documentation is well suited for that. Also there is a great community. Cons It's neither a traditional spreadsheet nor an SQL database. Take the time to understand this new way of thinking about data. Still waiting for some features traditional (Excel, Google) spreadsheets have (like sparklines or in-cell graphs or more powerful statistical or mathematical functions or conditional formatting).
