I use Airtable as a project management tool that serves many purposes, including as a central repository, data visualizer, and connector of disparate pieces of information. Would definitely recommend!

Pros

Other than the intuitive navigation, what I like most about Airtable is the ability to connect information. I use it as a project management tool and, as the projects get more complex, having something to help align different resources/information is a great help.

Cons

Sometimes I experience lag when working with larger datasets. This can be frustrating when it happens, but thankfully it doesn’t happen often.

The overall experience with Airtable has been a great one, overall I would say its saved me countless hours of sifting through data and having all of our data in "one" base is a lot more effective, just from a readability point of view, but also from an automation point of view.

Pros

I've used Airtable for analytical chemistry, quality control testing and R&D formulation work- each requiring completely different outputs, yet all benefiting from consolidation of disparate lab results into one centralized hub. What i like most is before airtable we just worked with excel and all of our data was all over the place! With airtable we now have integrated applications for sample logging, test results, calbiration, maintence etc etc. The longer i've used the product I keep thinking to myself, why didnt we use this sooner?

Cons

I think the learning curve for people coming from different applications can be quite steep, especially for people that have little or no knowledge to do with database systems such as sql and so forth. I would say to get the setup going you need someone with the technical know how to get you going, if you do not have this at your company, i think standard people would struggle.

Our Excel data management was getting out of hand, airtable simplified everything for us into one space.

Pros

I appreciate Airtable because it helps me centralize several types of data (projects, contacts, tracking) in a single tool. It is quite efficient with large databases. It helps me avoid using several different software programs.

Cons

The free version is limited in data volume. The price of the paid plans can become high depending on the usage. It requires a good internet connection to be used comfortably.

We used Airtable for a while with our marketing agency. Overall, it was a usefull tool that helped us manage and monitor various projects, speadsheets, and more

Cons

Airtable is clunky and hard to manage large amounts of data. The customtization options for some seemingly basic items could be better

AiTable was useful for basic table generation, but it did not go far enough for my needs. I was expecting a better way to organize comparisons across technologies and projects, but it felt limited, so I eventually moved on to a custom solution.

Pros

Easy to use for creating basic tables. Good for quickly structuring simple information. Fast if you only need a straightforward table output. Can be helpful for initial organization or rough drafts.

Cons

Too limited for more complex comparison work. Did not help much with organizing technologies, materials, or projects in a meaningful way. Felt more like a table generator than a full workflow tool. Did not solve the underlying problem I was trying to address. Not flexible enough for deeper analysis or customized organization.

I would give Airtable a 7.5 out of 10, just because it is a complex software system that requires a lot of trial and error, which can be extremely time-consuming and cumbersome. I believe that if their support team were able to give better advice on how to fix simple issues, ie: having a quick call to discuss, a lot of my troubles would have been solved much sooner.

Pros

Airtable is an excellent tool for project and task management because it presents information in a way that is easy to understand, visualize, and follow. Its automation features allow teams to efficiently communicate updates to key stakeholders, reducing administrative work for project managers while keeping the broader organization informed and aligned on project progress.

Cons

One area where I believe Airtable could improve is its customer support experience. It can be challenging to connect directly with a support representative, as most assistance is handled through email, and in some cases, additional support may come at an added cost. While the platform offers powerful features and automation capabilities, some of these functions can be complex and nuanced for users to navigate. I believe Airtable could enhance the user experience by making automation setup more intuitive and user-friendly, as well as simplifying the way levels are structured and how records are duplicated. Additionally, when users seek clarification on specific issues, support responses often consist of follow-up questions or references to help articles that do not always address the original concern. More direct, personalized support would help users resolve issues more efficiently and maximize the value of the platform.

I use it for everything in my company -- from organizing our very large annual conference, to running several seminars, to publishing books and journals, to managing our contacts.

Pros

It allows me to organize and manipulate my data without having to learn how to code or speak app-specific language

Cons

The cost. I wish there was a different pricing model for small non-profits, instead of the customary per-user subscription

Pros

I like the variety of visualization tools and project views available in Airtable, which make data analytics much simpler than in a spreadsheet and remove Notion's storage limits.

Cons

Airtable can't replace big SQL programs available out there but can be a real advantage for non-coder app builders. Its automation capabilities are somewhat limited, requiring you to deal with Zapier or another automation platform.
