August 25, 2024 5.0 There is no customer service, so if you're ready to use Airtable, remember that if you'll ever run into an issue, there's no one to talk to. Pros Overall everything works amazing. Preset automations are limited, but you have the option of scripting so that helps a lot. Depending what you want to use Airtable for, you might need to use a lot of workarounds, but does the job. Cons There is no customer service at all! theres no way of reaching them and they never respond to emails or their online forms. We had to leave them as we found an issue and needed help sorting it, but there was no one to talk to. a few days later one of the views had a bug where you couldn't click into any linked records, we tried emailing, submitting forms, but no response (btw this happened a month ago and still no response from them). The development team had to recreate another page for the users to use instead of the bugged one. We needed a way to to organize different "drives" we were conducting and barrels or other resources we were allocating to different companies, school, churches, or other groups that were supporting us. Airtable was a highly powerful product that provided the blank slate we needed to customize to our particular needs and use case. It greatly enhanced our efficiency and visibility into this important part of our business. It made organizing my work way easier and more visual which I really appreciate. It took a little time to figure out some of the features, but once I got into it everything clicked. It feels way more flexible and fun than a regular spreadsheet. Pros Honestly I love how Airtable feels like a mix between a spreadsheet and a database but without being intimidating. It is super easy to use and kind of fun to play with once you get the hang of it. I really like how I can customize things the way I want and actually see everything clearly unlike with plain spreadsheets. Cons Sometimes it gets a little confusing when you start adding more complex stuff like linked records or formulas. It's one of the most amazing tools out there in my opinion, especially their automations. Pros Airtable is great and Google sheets are an outmoded way of thinking. We all know that. But what I want to praise is the software craftsmanship that leads to Airtable being only 56MB in size! Basic 2FA Authenticator apps are 200MB these days. This shows off a level of detail and care for their software that few emulate. Cons I think there needs to be a more robust activity log report. Allowing for admins or base owners to see when things are changed, by whom, and what was changed, with the ability to revert back to that specific snapshot in time if needed.
