We have been using Timetastic for a few years. It's affordable and easy to use. It integrates with chat platforms such as Slack to provide a daily digest of absences, so the whole team know who's off and when.

Pros

It's simplicity and friendly appearance. It's great for managing time off on both HR and Employee's sides. They also offer mobile apps to quickly book time off.

Cons

Not much. Although It would be great if there were some extra features (such as staff recognition).

Pros

It's so affordable - it pays for itself in the time you save! Staff love it - they get clear visibility of how much holiday remaining and can easily book time off Slack - if you use Slack you can get it to post everyone's availability in the morning We use it for holiday, work from home, sickness, mat/pat leave and more!

Cons

None - it really is so easy to use and fantastic value for money.

A major step up from the last package we used. Easily customisable eg. leave authoriser, departments, countries public holidays. It just saves so much time from manual methods.

Pros

\- G Suite Integration - Slack Integration - working out of pro-rated holiday allowance - keeping track of lieu days - multiple Bank Holiday tracking ( For different Countries) Lots more.

Cons

Only thing I wish it had was notification of work anniversaries.

### "Simple, Well-Priced, Functional"

We manage teams in 2 different Geographic locations, with different state holidays and I was surprised to find that Timetastic caters for that scenario so well. What concerns the regular, 1 geo location team management, i think its pretty flawless..

Pros

The simplicity, users pick it up very easily. Its intuitive, so no need for special training whatsoever.

Cons

Not sure, seems pretty ideal. Hope they won't over-complicate with too many functions.

### "Exactly what we needed"

We were having a hard time tracking the requests and authorizations of time off both for sick time and vacation time for 2 different teams in our company. We were using a combination of a email request, a Google calendar and an Excel spreadsheet. It was brutal. Timetastic has greatly simplified that and even allowed me to see the time scheduled off on my calendar.

Pros

Simple to use for all staff and exactly what we needed.

Cons

I can't think of anything that we don't like.

Previous holiday recording was extremely clunky, based upon email requests and approvals and an Excel log. Timetastic gives us far more flexibility and takes the onus off one Approver and easily delegates that to Line Managers.

Pros

Simple to configure; intuitive for users; good VFM.

Cons

One requirement which Timetastic could not meet is allowing a particular leave type to be only approved by a specific Administrator. We have the approval set per user to Dept Boss, and this is great for annual leave, sick leave, etc. but I have one leave type - Working from Home - which I would like only myself as Admin, not the Dept Bosses, to approve for all staff. As yet (with a Support call logged) I have not seen a work-around for this.

### "Remote Company Using Timetastic"

It was great to use when we were still a small team (up to 25 or so). It's an excellent product for small teams but not ideal for bigger teams. Having said this, we still haven't found a product that is similar to Timetastic (in terms of ease of use) but better for bigger teams.

Pros

It's really easy and simple to use, both as a user and as an admin.

Cons

Tracking the balance of more than 1 type of leave is not optional. You can only track the remaining balance for any 1 type of leave at a time. (You can mark leave as sick leave, vacation leave, etc... but you can only view the balance of 1 leave. In order to find how many days of sick leave were taken by your employees during the year you will have to do this manually by downloading the report and going through it.

We use Timetastic for absences relating to holidays, meetings, conferences, birthdays, sickness and remote working. It's a non-bloated simple and fast tool, which we only wish had better integration with Slack!

Pros

The simplicity, the interface, and that it's made in the UK :)

Cons

Love all of it, just WISH there was a way for it to show more information via the Slack integration, like what the time off is for (eg holiday, meeting, sickness) and if it could send the notification to slack the day BEFORE, not the actual morning of the event. PLEASE!!!

Timetastic saves us a lot of administration and I would certainly recommend it to other businesses.

Pros

Our company uses Timetastic for a very simple task: scheduling and administrating staff leaves. It's an easy to use tool that gives a good overview. We integrated it with Slack so we receive a daily update at 9am which colleagues won't be in the office that day.

Cons

There's one important feature that I miss: I always log in via Google and on mobile that functionality doesn't exist, so it doesn't allow me to log in.

It has saved us a lot of time, given staff a feeling of more control over their holiday booking and planning and saved us a lot of admin effort

Pros

We like the fact that this has made our holiday booking quick and straightforward. It calculates part year holiday entitlement and is a clear and visible system and the approval process has been streamlined. The mobile app makes it very easy for out of hours use Reporting is easy too and has helped with mid-year planning

Cons

There's not much that we don't like to be honest

### "Easy Time"

Since implementing Timetastic we have removed the possibility of holiday forms not being completed or being lost. It has removed the use of paper so no time consuming filing away after. The staff can check to see if they can book time off and dont have to wait for time approval anymore, so makes booking a holiday quicker and easier. You can set the maximum number of staff off per team so this avoids people trying to book same time off.

Pros

It has simplified the booking time off process for our staff, we use for annual leave, medical appointments, sickness records, training/exams. It is so easy to book time off either via the app on mobile or the website, staff can see what time they have left. For Managers you can see how many days your staff have left, days off sick and an overview of the company so you can see who is in and out. The mobile app makes boking time off so easy and can be used even when not at work. It makes the approval process easy for management and avoids double booking.

Cons

Even though there is a RSS feed into Outlook, the users used to receive an email with a calendar invite attached so wen they accepted this the entry appeared in their own Outlook calendar this in turn would sync back into our PSA (ConnectWise). Would love this feature back or integration into ConnectWise.

### "Super easy for employers and employees to use!"

The app is great for staff as they can book leave as and when the need arises (evenings and weekends) and the leave can be approved or declined by Managers with the click of a button. From an employers perspective we are notified of any department leave clashes prior to approving employee holiday requests and can address accordingly. Timetastic has been a definite time saver for us as we now no longer need to manually work out how many holidays people have used annually.

Pros

We had an antiquated paper request and wall calendar system before Timetastic so anything would have been better. However, Timetastic exceeded our expectations both in design and ease of use. The simplistic approach makes it really user friendly for staff to book leave and have constant visibility of remaining leave for the year.

Cons

There are no cons so far! We have found it to be exactly what we needed and should have implemented it years ago.

Just makes a non issue out of a thing which is potentially complicated to organise.

Pros

Timetastic relieved my holiday schedule headache without any need for learning or tutorials or anything. So simple and my staff find it easy to book time off too. It's a diplomatic way of allowing first-come-first-served holiday allowance, avoiding potential fighting over the office calander next time The Venga Boys are in town.

Cons

Only niggle we have is that you can't send requests to multiple email addresses. So minor though. I think it would be cool if the developers could expand the format to Gantt charts and other time-based business organisation.

We moved form a paper form request system to Timetastic which not only made the reqesting of leave more efficient but allowed us better plan business trips, meetings and events.

Pros

Ease of use Quick, clear format for easy reference Easy to adapt to the needs of the individual customer Fast response time to any queries Amazing value for money!

Cons

I would love this to link to onlin HR records systems - it is much easier to use than the holiday management processes included with many fully integrated packages.

We are really pleased with the software and think it will save us a lot of time in annual leave management. The service we've had has been great, everyone I've been in contact with has been very friendly and helpful. The 50% discount for Charities has also been a really great help for us and made the software much more accessible to us.

Pros

The software is intuitive and easy to use. It copes well with the complexity of part time, flexible working that we have a lot of in our team. Being able to add a new schedule part way through the year is a great feature and will save us a lot of time going forward.

Cons

We are tracking annual leave allowance by hours due to the varied working hours the team have (which is great), it would be great if there was a summary to equivalent days as well though so it was quick and easy for the employee and manager to see how much holiday was left in days rather than hours. It would also be useful to set a secondary approver for times when the first approver is off or away.

This is great for our business. It's these sort of apps that are perfect for a virtual business.

Pros

It's ideal for us working in a distributed environment (everyone works from home across the UK). Makes it easy to submit and manage requests but, also, see at a glance who is out and in. We have also integrated it into our Slack instance so that we get channel alerts at the beginning of the day, telling everyone who is in and out. We use the Google calendar integration as well. The responsive design is good too.

Cons

I'm struggling to think of anything that it doesn't provide us. Integration into personal Slack channels would be nice to manage personal leave via Slack.

Our previous annual leave management was fully manual and completely useless, involving paper forms which got lost on desks for weeks. This meant that people put in clashing requests because they couldn't see who had already requested leave. Now that everything is online and integrated with our calendars and Slack, there's much more transparency and far fewer issues!

Pros

The simplicity - it's not cluttered or mixed up with lots of other functionality that we don't need.

Cons

The fact that you can't edit a holiday - you have to cancel and re-request. Sometimes this leads to admin thinking this is a new (perhaps last-minute) request because they don't realise it's just an adjustment to holiday which was already approved.

Timetastic have been very helpful in uploading users onto the system and assisting with any queries we have had. Also in the 4 years we have used Timetastic there has been a lot of useful new functionality added.

Pros

Timetastic is easy for employees to use to request holidays and track leave days remaining, days in Lieu, etc. Also straightforward to setup users and approvers for each dept. Support has been very quick to respond to any queries we have had.

Cons

It does everything we want and is straightforward.

Pros

We were looking for a tool to help us manage our employee time allowances, and Timetastic was the perfect fit. Our number one most loved feature is the Slack integration, allowing team communication of who is out of the office that day, as well as one click approvals from within the app.

Cons

Nothing we don't like, but we'd love more features in the Slack integration such as more details when there are other conflicts when time is requested for approval, and offering a larger window or weekly report to help the team be in the know/prepare for team members absences before the day of.

Pros

The ability to very quickly schedule all of my staff's holiday is great and the integrations with Slack are spot on. Getting a message delivered to us about the day's leave is extremely useful. It's also very reasonably priced.

Makes it really easy for us to manage staff holidays and time off. Everyone finds it really quick and easy to use.

Pros

Really simple and intuitive to use. Love the way it calculates the amount of leave based on start date, very useful. Also makes it really easy for people to check other people's booked leave before they make a request which cuts down on back and forth on approving time off.

Cons

Would be good if it had more integrations, for example I'd like to send information to the Forecast feature in HarvestApp. It would be really helpful if the tool was enhanced to include other time-related activities like recording flexi-time.
