We have simple needs and Timetastic allows us to satisfy those needs without making us pay for an all bells and whistles solution that we don't need at this stage. I also like the Google Apps and Slack integrations that allow us to add users automatically and approve time off without needing to visit the Timetastic site or app. Cons There's nothing I don't like at this stage. Found it through Google when we had a very specific need. It’s really focused on handling employee leave and does that super well. Have recommended it to loads of people. Have used various other hacked together things in other business, but this is nice and easy and clean. Pros Easy to use Easy to share with the team Clear charts that help you see when a team is off Clear responsibility mapping for sign off of leave Amazing that I need to say this in 2018, but cloud based / accessible for anywhere Cons Nothing. It works really well for us. Have not had to test the customer service, so don’t know about that. Magic login links make it easy for all of us who forget our passwords, and it's clear as to your current remaining leave status and bookings. Cons The way it separates Sick leave based on whether it was booked as part days, or hours. This little system does it all for you. It also gives the employee ability to manage their own calendar and gives them visibility to the time they have available and if anyone else is off the same day/week in their department. It's super easy to set up and manage. Pros This system is super easy to use, easy to manage and makes holidays and requesting time off quick and simple. What more do you want? It manages the whole thing! Your team request the days they need online whenever they want. Their manager can approve the time or decline it and give a reason for this. This is the most efficient system we have used, it takes the pain out of holiday requests face to face... We all know how annoying that is! Cons We have tried to think of something to write here but can't. September 18, 2018 5.0 Pros So easy to use, I am the administrator and it is so simple and not time consuming to manage users, departments and individual queries from users. It is also wonderful to sign people up to a service and know that you literally don't have to give any guidance because the service is so intuitive. I have also emailed them several times over the past three years with requests for features - many of which they have done! Cons Nothing - probably that I wish they did a similar version where you could use internally only to monitor sickness/absence - we are still using spreadsheets and having Timetastic manage it would be ideal! The easy to view calendar works well for annual leave and all staff can put in an online request, meaning no paperwork trail, making us sustainable too Pros Easy to use and adjust hours as required Cons The personal preferences where a colleague can set up and see who is off in the same department when he is the boss - I don't think this should be common knowledge Review Source DH David H. Easy to see clashes and plan work flow. And giving team leaders the right to allow holiday request is great. Cons It never remembers me when I go to the bookmark. I've struggled to get the app working. You type in your email and it says the password is too long. I've just now done and eventually got in. Needs a bit of tweaking I think. We have a team of around 200 people now and due to none hierarchical departments in Timetastic (users belonging to departments within departments) it is loosing its usability. Pros Easy to use, one-touch confirmation of leave for approvers from email is a really good feature for me. Cons UX could be improved, sometimes it takes far to many clicks to get to the view I need. Users can only belong to one department. This is not fit for our business. Departments, in reality, are usually hierarchical in structure but in Timetastic they are not. September 19, 2018 5.0 Its a great system!!! Pros I am glad our company has joined Timetastic for absence management. The system is very simple to use for employees and easy to navigate around! the user experience is spot on! very clear and not cluttered. The service response time has been great. I would definitely recommend for small to medium sized companies. I also love the idea that we are supporting a UK company. Cons The reporting ability. I think if there could be more fields on the reports generated it would be useful. Also if the system could implement functionality to manage leave in line with local European countries. The public holiday recognition for each country is great, but for example France manage their leave on a different calendar year to the UK January - December. I also get confused sometimes because it will deduct hours that I have booked in the next month but have not spent. If Timetastic could specify what hours are booked, used and accrued. Pros Timetastic is very easy to use. You can view everyone's time off so that you can plan your vacation days accordingly. It is easy to book your time off, sick leaves, and view your total vacation hours. Cons The annual allowance let's you set up how many hours or days your employees get off. However, when you view this as an employee you do not know how many hours you have accrued to date. What you see is the hours/days that you have in the year. Therefore, I have to divide my total hours by month to know how many hours I have accrued and can currently spend. I also booked a vacation for the next year and I do not think it deducts from my hours remaining. Review Source LS Lucien S. Pros So easy to use and share across the workplace. Great visibility of when folks are off and good management of days available. It saves me hours and hours and I can be confident that we're managing our employee holidays appropriately. It just removes so much administration time. It doesn't try to be anything else but a holiday manager, and that's a good thing. Pros It's a simple, but comprehensive method of managing employee holidays. Cons Can't think of anything. It does what we need very well. Google apps (SSO) and Slack integrations are great way to keep everyone on the same page. The value and functionality we get for the money is unmatched anywhere else! Pros \- Simple interface and takes less than 30 sec. to book a holiday. Pros Easy to use, cheap - a good start to leave tracking Cons \- I really want to be able to have dual approvers for annual leave - Would be great if you could cancel just a portion of leave. eg if someone cancels a day off a week of their leave, would be good to be able to cancel just one day of that, rather than cancelling the whole thing and then re-adding it. - would be good to be able to change the type of leave once it's already booked in (eg. if you add it accidentally as holiday but it should be sick leave) Review Source Papapanagiotou T.
