PaySimple's system has enabled us to collect more payments and easily follow up on outstanding invoices. Their customer service is always available and very helpful.

Pros

PaySimple's reporting system is very easy to use. It makes it easy for us to reconcile our payments with bank account deposits.

Cons

The invoicing system is still a little antiquated.

Pros

The software itself was okay, it had issues with check out more than I would like. However, Customer service was excellent, very attentive and not condescending at all--rare in today's world.

Cons

It was difficult to know where to go for what within the system and checkout got hung up often--not good.

It's been pretty good the last 5+ years. Customer service is quick to get back with my questions and the software hasn't let me down!

Pros

The ACH processing is what keeps us on this platform. The update within the last few years to view payment method, payment history and addresses all in 1 contact page was a really great add.

Cons

The interface is a little outdated. The payments and billing page could use an update to make them more appealing.

We needed Paysimple specifically to accept subscription payments via a checking account and it works great. Their support team was very helpful during setup

Pros

We appreciate the solid customer support combined with variety of payment methods they provide.

Cons

Not too much to complain about here, implementation was pretty easy. Did take a minute to develop the buttons to load into our website but it wasn't that hard.

I love its functionality being so diverse… but I hate setting it up and later generating reports. Furthermore, the public domain is not presentable, outdated, and generic looking.

Pros

All the features it makes available to create forms.

Cons

Creating reports is super complicated. Different people creating different forms leading to too manty header options. Nothing feels intuitive. Lacks icons for ease of use and identification.

We use PaySimple for our customers to register a card or ACH payment method. They can then pay themselves through the portal or allow us to run their payment for them. It would be good if PaySimple had a way for customers to indicate, when they register a card, that they want it to be automatically run each month - some kind of indicator in their profile.

Pros

I think the customer portal is pretty straightforward to allow someone to register a credit card, debit card, or ACH payment.

Cons

I wish there were more notification features like when a person's card expires, or when a new customer registers their payment information. I also think it's difficult to remove old cards from my profile.

### "Recurring Billing FTW"

Pros

PaySimple is one of the few systems that is able to do recurring billing/subscription style billing. This is critical for our scenario.

Cons

Still some missing features in recurring billing. Our billing cycle is 1st of the month, but self-service doesn't let me force people to pay for the current month and then get charged on the subsequent 1st. Hopefully they will fix it.

### "I wouldn't make the PaySimple mistake twice."

Seriously, DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH PAYSIMPLE. Here is why, once you get involved with them and start processing credit cards-- it will work great for a year or two. But, then your business will change and you will want to use a different provider that will meet the needs of your company better... AND THAT is when PaySimple becomes a real pain. You see, because unlike other payment processors they will not release your customers credit card data to another payment processing firm. They say it is PCI compliance, if that were true then other payment gateways wouldn't be able to release data either. (which they can and do, because they are GOOD companies.) If they would charge be a $500 fee to release my data, so be it. I would HAPPILY pay, but they won't. Good service while it meets your needs, but once your needs change they are very unsympathetic.

Cons

Will not allow your business to grow and adjust. Annoying, beyond belief.

There are many levels of PCI Compliance that merchant providers can adhere to, and PaySimple’s system was specifically built to provide the highest level of PCI Compliant storage of cardholder data. To meet these standards, our system encrypts individual credit card numbers when they are entered, and decryption only occurs at the credit card processor level -- a very critical piece to protecting against data breaches. We understand the reasoning for wanting to export full card data, and we’re sorry this is not something we’re able to offer to your business. Our Customer Experience team will follow up with you directly with some additional details.

### "ZERO INTEGRITY."

Called to close my account on June 14' They continue to bill my account and I just now got them to close my account on September 3rd 2015. 14 mo later I called in June of 2014 to cancel any charges to my account because I simply never used their service. We are a fairly large company with many expenses every month and I just now, on September 3rd 2015 realized that they have continued to bill my account $39.95 a month up until today. Upon calling them today, they have admitted fault however their policy is that they can only refund up to 3 months. In other words I called to cancel, confirmed everything about my identity with mine/their company to validate myself. I think everything is OK and then they try sneaking a "survey" by you through email... hoping that you do not fill it out so that they can continue to charge your account and hope you do not notice. BOTTOM LINE-- STICK WITH A BETTER KNOWN COMPANY WHO STANDS BEHIND THEIR SERVICE, NOT A COMPANY WHO TRIES TO MAKE IT INCONVENIENT TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT JUST SO THEY CAN KEEP CHARGING IT.
