Professional and friendly staff, who are extremy patient as we ramp up. The website is user friendly. Great enhancements (on-line voting & Homewise Docs) are added regularly.

Pros

Customer support is fantastic - using rhe built in tool or scheduling a quick 15 min video training session are extremely helpful. Great bang for the buck - the HOA is saving a lot of money, compared to the Property Management company previously used. We are able to easily post documents for Board and/or homeowner access.

Cons

Our homeowners have expressed a desire for an app. Homeowners (both on PCs and/or phones) have experienced webpage slowness.

Pros

This is the easiest platform to use and manage our HOA community. I like the notifications, security and best value for the money.

Cons

Haven't found anything yet that I don't like. I am still navigating the site, but it is really user friendly.

### "I no longer recommend Pay HOAa"

I'm feeling quite frustrated after initially being excited about this software. Now, I'm in a rush to find another company that doesn't charge exorbitant onboarding fees so I can get on a more reliable platform. The situation has become so dire that I'm seriously considering returning to QuickBooks.

Pros

I LOVED Pay HOA's customer service, their software worked great and fulfilled all my HOA management needs for my little 14 HOA company.

Cons

The recent software updates have introduced numerous glitches and are compelling users to adopt their system, such as printing checks despite having our own solutions. Additionally, the requirement for multiple bank integrations, even after initial setup, demonstrates a lack of responsiveness to customer needs. This forced transition into unfamiliar areas of the software is frustrating, especially during budget season, which highlights a disregard for user experience in favor of the IT team's preferences. What was once a robust software system has now become cumbersome and inefficient.

### "Easy to find your way and learn"

I have been on both the admin side and as a resident. I am sure there are more things to explore and learn, it's just a matter finding the time and patience to learn it for how we need it to be.

Pros

I like that it is very simplistic and easy to learn, once you find your way through things. The AI aspect for support has been a great asset as well for us on weekends.

Cons

There are some issues with the Accounting aspects and frustrations for our Corporate Treasurer and Activities Treasurer are mounting. Our financial reports are unable to be run reliably still (2 months now) and many entries are double entry. The surveys would be nice if we can do analysis with the results as it seems too simplistic. We are currently going to stay with Google Forms as we can create charts and graphs with the information. Next challenge is having fillable forms vs just pdf for the residents to access for things like Architectural Permits, and waivers.

is a great platform but comes with a lot of overhead from the company.. there are assumed items that they just think you know right off the bat where we were left in the dark from our prior management company... it made a very difficult transition. Overall the platform is great but we wish there was a little more customization for communities that our unique like ours.. Overall still enjoy the project JB and the support staff have been great in supporting us since our onboarding.. issues tend to get resolved quickly.

Pros

Easy initial setup with minimal technological knowledge required. The application is also easy to use from a homeowner perspective

Cons

Its hard to manage accounting... balance does not true up the way cash accounting would expect... Lack of support on finances in documented resources

From implementation to use to customer service I was up and running within a day or two. Compared with Platforms like Realpage where it takes them months to stand up a software.

Pros

It has an extremely intuitive design. Making switching platforms extremely easy and straightforward.

Cons

There is only one major drawback to and that is the fact my owners cannot make a prepayment via an online payment.

Definitely give this a 5 star rating and plan on using it for the foreseeable future! I recommend it to all HOA boards who want to self manage.

Pros

It was easy to set up our new HOA using this software solution. The support has been excellent and setting up the individual properties worked great.

Cons

Invoicing on different schedules for each property is a little clunky. However once we went through the self help videos we were able to solve our issues.

Overall, the experience with has been exceptional, streamlining our operations, ensuring accuracy and transparency in managing our HOA's finances. I highly recommend it!

Pros

As an 82-home HOA that self-manages, switching to has been a game changer. The best feature is its ability to automate invoices, bill payments and financial reports, cutting our monthly workload down to just a few hours - a huge improvement over our previous managed service, which was notorious for poor service and inaccurate reports. Homeowners also appreciate the intuitive portal for making payments and managing their accounts, complete with a personalized touch like a photo of their home. Very important for our small community, by converting to PayHOA, we saved 75% of the cost of the previous service.

Cons

My only minor drawback is that I would like to see more options for adding custom uploaded attachments to email invoices, similar to what we can do to mailed invoices. However, this is a small nit in an otherwise well-designed, stellar system.

I wish I could get a person to respond sooner than it usually takes. I will say though, the bot now answers 95% of the questions I have.

Pros

Simple to set up. Any questions I had, the Bot or a person quickly helped guide me. We had always used a management company and just weren't getting value from them. Switching to saves us hundreds of dollars each month and let's us be more proactive with our finances.

Cons

I wish deposits got into our bank account faster. Seems very slow. I am sure there is a way to improve this aspect.

As a volunteer treasurer, I have been very happy with , both from my administrator and user experience. I would definitely recommend PayHOA for HOA management.

Pros

is easy to use, for both administrators and users. They have a database that usually has the answers to questions. The support team at PayHOA is the best! They respond quickly and are always helpful. The ability for residents pay online has been a great timesaver, and the ability to post governing documents, financial reports, and meeting minutes on the site has saved a lot of money on printing and mailing. Speaking of reports, about a year ago PayHOA created a report packet, so I don’t have to print, save, and post each report separately.

Cons

I would like to have the opportunity to be able to pay static (same charge every month) bills on a recurring basis. I’m sure they are working on this.

### "A lifesaver"

Outstanding. has been a lifesaver for me and our HOA. We had no management system prior to PayHOA. Start up was very straightforward and the on line help has been excellent. We've now had PayHOA for over 1 year and we remain extremely pleased. The system has done everything we wanted initially and has additional features that we didn't know we needed.

Pros Accounting system Seamless 1099's Email generation and tracking Instant messaging On line help - both AI and help staff

Cons

The only con has been an occassional incompatibilty issue with Firefox when generating consecutive emails. Not an issue if you use Chrome.

I have been involved with 2 different HOAs. I’ve served as president, secretary, and treasurer. Until we discovered , we truly did not have a system that was sufficient to account for everything an HOA is responsible for as accurately as what it does. It was truly the answer to our HOA administration challenges. I highly recommend it for ANY self directed HOA.

Pros

It is a one stop shop for HOA management. helps you to invoice residents, manage accounts, provides a collection point for all your HOA documents - everything you need to be successful.

Cons

There is really not much I don’t like about it. It is fairly intuitive and help is fairly accessible when needed.

Overall, has been a helpful platform for managing our small self-run HOA. It covers most of the basics we need—owner communication, dues collection, document sharing, and tracking violations—all in one place. The interface is clean, and once you get used to the workflow, it’s fairly intuitive. The automated payment reminders and ACH features have reduced the back-and-forth with owners and helped us stay on top of dues collection. I also appreciate the ability to email residents directly from the platform and store important records in one shared location. That said, the inability to connect our bank account (Salem Five Business) for automatic transaction syncing has added some manual work on the financial side. It’s not a dealbreaker given that the number of expenditures is less thsn 10 monthly, but something to be aware of depending on your bank. All in all, it’s a good fit for small to mid-sized communities that want an affordable and fairly easy-to-use system to streamline day-to-day operations without needing a professional management company.

Pros

has been a solid tool for our self-managed HOA. A few highlights: •Security: The platform feels secure and trustworthy, especially for handling payments and owner banking information. We haven’t had any concerns around breaches or unauthorized access. •Value for Money: Compared to other platforms we considered, PayHOA is reasonably priced for what it offers. It covers core features like invoicing, owner communication, document storage, and financial tracking without feeling bloated or overpriced. •Customer Support: Their support team is responsive—most inquiries get a reply within a day or two, and they seem to genuinely try to help. That said, it’s mostly via email and some guides, so don’t expect a full support desk experience. •Information Access: Owners can log in to see their payment history, shared documents, and messages. From an admin side, I like the owner database, the ability to upload and organize files, and the ability to pull reports when needed. •Bugs and Issues: Overall, the platform is stable. There are occasional hiccups or slow loading pages, especially when switching between tabs or viewing financial summaries, but nothing that broke our workflow. •Email: Mass emails to the community are simple to set up and send. It’s convenient to be able to track communication logs tied to each owner. A few formatting limitations, but it gets the job done. •Payment: This is the strongest part. Owners can pay dues via ACH or card, and automatic reminders are a big help in cutting down on late payments. We can also track who’s paid and who hasn’t, export data, and apply late fees when needed. •Banking and Accounts: ACH payouts to our HOA bank account have worked reliably.

Cons

he biggest issue we’ve encountered is that ’s banking integration does not support our business account with Salem Five. As treasurer, this has been a real limitation—it means I have to manually enter or upload transactions instead of having them synced automatically. It’s a bit surprising that a tool designed for HOAs wouldn’t support more regional banks, especially for business accounts. I’d love to see them expand their list of supported institutions, or at least offer a workaround that doesn’t require duplicate data entry.

Logging in and using the services has been very easy and intuitive. I actually had a homeowner ask me to do it for them and they were shocked out how simple it was.

Pros

As the president of our HOA, this platform has all necessary information in an easy to access format.

Cons

So far, although it is not 's fault, we have only gotten 50% of the neighborhood to sign up, which makes communication more difficult.

### "Great software for small, self-managed HOAs!"

Overall, its great! Its easy to use and navigate, it has lots of features, and its just what we needed for our self-managed HOA.

Pros

Its a great centralized hub for all of our HOA documents, finances and communications, as we're a self managed HOA of 20 units that didnt want a lot of overhead.

Cons

I wish it was easier to set up an admin profile for the board members so communications could be consistent. We use a shared email for official HOA communications, such as when dealing with insurance or mortgage lenders. While I can manually change the email address that emails are sent from to the official HOA email, when I send out reminders for a survey, it doesnt give me that option and automatically sends it with my personal email address.

More cost-effective than any property management software we've explored. Arguably the cleanest UX/UI on the market. Lots to speculate in terms of additional features and services being rolled out. Will continue to rely on it.

Pros

Super clean user interface. Responsive customer support. Saved us having to keep a QBO and Bill.com subscription, plus granting us property management faculties we really wanted.

Cons

Adopting senior unit owners is hard, but not surprising, regardless of simplicity. No mobile app - if you want to access from your phone, you have to do so from a browser with a sub-optimal UX/UI.

Lots of features to learn, however easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. The YouTube videos they provide on their channel are very helpful.

Pros

I love how everything is automated. The reporting feature has been beneficial for submitting quick monthly data. We also love how each unit keeps historical data intact for our office to fall back on if necessary.

Cons

So far we just aren’t fans of the scrolling feature on the budget dashboard. There are too many scroll bars to keep up with.

Very rough to start because I could not find training resources. Only after several of our units did not receive dues invoices did I discover by accident that invoicing templates might have expiration dates. An electronic alert would be helpful for such situations. Also, for some reason, expense transactions stopped being listed in transactions although income transactions still were listed. Only after the session with \[sensitive content hidden\] were these items straightened out.

Pros

The live session I had with \[sensitive content hidden\], the head of Customer Support, answered nearly all the questions I had. Before speaking with her, I was ready to recommend our association abandon .

Cons

I did not set up for our condo association but rather inherited it. The individual that set it up was not available to assist me in learning the system. The only resource I had to learn was a 3 year old intro video that helped a bit but did not provide the detail needed. Until talking with \[sensitive content hidden\], I was not aware of the library of videos available on Youtube. I had done a Google search prior to speaking with \[sensitive content hidden\] but had only found two short videos.

Fantastic. Highly recommend. I like all the spreadsheets that you can create with it and really find the broadcast tool, especially text, helpful for scheduling a meeting.

Pros

Absolutely loving . We were in dire straits. No organization, no reserves, no way to issue violations and now we have secured payment from 210 residents out of 224. We got most of those payments in only about 2 months. I like the way that violations are handled the most.

Cons

The way you have to save a tenant as "other contact." Not a deal breaker but I'd like to track the tenant and have an option that they receive all the same communications of the \[sensitive content hidden\]

### "Invaluable tool for HOAs"

has been a game changer when it comes to bringing our self-managed hoa community into the 21st century. It's a way to keep all documents and records in one place and will ensure continuity of information as board members join or leave. The payment system is easy to use for both the admin and user side.

Pros

It integrates all our needs in one place, from payments to communications and records. The whole admin team has real time access to the same info

Cons

Wish it also did payroll since we have a small number of part-time employees and one full-time. Also, wish it had a toggle function for admin users who also own units. That way they can switch between admin view and regular user view. Some of our board members are not the most tech people and while they need access to admin rights it would be best they could switch that off so they don't do something wrong.

This is a great site for small HOA, it creates a easy way to keep the dues current. It allows a for consistent level of service.
