"Easy to find your way and learn"

**Overall:** I have been on both the admin side and as a resident. I am sure there are more things to explore and learn, it's just a matter finding the time and patience to learn it for how we need it to be.

**Pros:** I like that it is very simplistic and easy to learn, once you find your way through things. The AI aspect for support has been a great asset as well for us on weekends.

**Cons:** There are some issues with the Accounting aspects and frustrations for our Corporate Treasurer and Activities Treasurer are mounting. Our financial reports are unable to be run reliably still (2 months now) and many entries are double entry. The surveys would be nice if we can do analysis with the results as it seems too simplistic. We are currently going to stay with Google Forms as we can create charts and graphs with the information. Next challenge is having fillable forms vs just pdf for the residents to access for things like Architectural Permits, and waivers.

**Switched From:** [QuickBooks Desktop](https://www.capterra.com/p/212058/QuickBooks-Desktop-Pro/)

**Reasons for Switching to PayHOA:** It was going obsolete and the cost to only do our accounting was the same price as being able to do more with property management aspects withing PayHOA

Hi Stacy, thank you for the review. It's great to hear that the platform has been easy to pick up and that our AI support has been a helpful resource, even on weekends. And the fact that you've experienced PayHOA from both the admin and resident side gives your feedback extra weight. We hear you on the accounting frustrations, and we want you to know there are some enhancements coming on that front that should help minimize the issues you're running into. In the meantime, our support team (support@payhoa.com) is happy to help troubleshoot anything specific. Your feedback on surveys and fillable forms is noted too, and we've passed it along to our product team. Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

"Solid Choice"

**Overall:** Overall, my experience with PayHOA has been very positive. While there are some bugs and feature limitations that still need refinement, the platform delivers strong value for the cost and continues to improve over time. The system is user-friendly, well-supported by helpful documentation, and backed by a responsive support team. The ongoing upgrades show that the company is actively developing and listening to feedback, which gives confidence that current issues will be resolved. For HOAs looking for an affordable, functional, and steadily improving management solution, PayHOA is a solid choice.

**Pros:** PayHOA offers great value for the money. Compared to other HOA management platforms, it provides strong functionality at a very reasonable cost. They have been consistently upgrading their system, and you can really see the improvements over time. The platform continues to get better, which shows they are actively investing in development. The site itself is easy to use, both for board members and residents. On top of that, the help articles have been a tremendous resource for residents, making it easy for them to find answers quickly without needing direct assistance. Their support staff — \[sensitive content hidden\] — are great to work with. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always helpful when questions come up.

**Cons:** While PayHOA offers strong overall value, there are still some system bugs that can create frustration. There have been issues with exporting financial statements. PDF exports work fine, but CSV exports do not always match the same format and are sometimes missing information, which requires additional manual cleanup. The voting module also has limitations. It does not allow formatting within ballot descriptions — no spacing, no bold text, and everything appears in one continuous paragraph. Additionally, there is no high-level overview of voting responses. To see how residents voted, you must click into each individual ballot rather than viewing a summary. There have also been occasional instances where transactions were recorded to the wrong account when multiple bank accounts are linked within the system. That said, these appear to be system bugs rather than structural issues, and given their ongoing upgrades, I’m confident these will likely be addressed over time.

**Alternatives Considered:** [Easy HOA](https://www.capterra.com/p/237509/Easy-HOA/), [Perfect HOA](https://www.capterra.com/p/10030553/Perfect-HOA/), [HOA Central](https://www.capterra.com/p/10029832/HOA-Central/) and [HOA Start](https://www.capterra.com/p/215897/HOA-Start/)

**Reasons for Choosing PayHOA:** We chose PayHOA over these others mainly due to the low price - though it did increase recently. Also the 30 day trial was nice to check out everything before signing up officially.

**Switched From:** [Vantaca](https://www.capterra.com/p/230892/Vantaca/)

**Reasons for Switching to PayHOA:** The HOA budget was limited and we needed a budget friendly option.

Hey Alex, thank you for the thorough review. We're glad PayHOA has been a good fit for your community, and it's great to hear that the platform, documentation and support team have all been working well for you. We appreciate the detailed feedback on CSV exports, the voting module and the bank account issues. That kind of specificity is really helpful. We've passed it along to our product team, and it's on their radar as we continue improving the platform. It means a lot that you see the progress we're making. We're committed to keep building on that momentum. Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.
