Pros

The software has all the features a small independent HOA manager needs to run multiple HOA’s efficiently.

### "I no longer recommend Pay HOAa"

I'm feeling quite frustrated after initially being excited about this software. Now, I'm in a rush to find another company that doesn't charge exorbitant onboarding fees so I can get on a more reliable platform. The situation has become so dire that I'm seriously considering returning to QuickBooks.

Pros

I LOVED Pay HOA's customer service, their software worked great and fulfilled all my HOA management needs for my little 14 HOA company.

Cons

The recent software updates have introduced numerous glitches and are compelling users to adopt their system, such as printing checks despite having our own solutions. Additionally, the requirement for multiple bank integrations, even after initial setup, demonstrates a lack of responsiveness to customer needs. This forced transition into unfamiliar areas of the software is frustrating, especially during budget season, which highlights a disregard for user experience in favor of the IT team's preferences. What was once a robust software system has now become cumbersome and inefficient.

Overall, my experience with has been very positive. While there are some bugs and feature limitations that still need refinement, the platform delivers strong value for the cost and continues to improve over time. The system is user-friendly, well-supported by helpful documentation, and backed by a responsive support team. The ongoing upgrades show that the company is actively developing and listening to feedback, which gives confidence that current issues will be resolved. For HOAs looking for an affordable, functional, and steadily improving management solution, PayHOA is a solid choice.

Pros

offers great value for the money. Compared to other HOA management platforms, it provides strong functionality at a very reasonable cost. They have been consistently upgrading their system, and you can really see the improvements over time. The platform continues to get better, which shows they are actively investing in development. The site itself is easy to use, both for board members and residents. On top of that, the help articles have been a tremendous resource for residents, making it easy for them to find answers quickly without needing direct assistance. Their support staff — \[sensitive content hidden\] — are great to work with. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always helpful when questions come up.

Cons

While offers strong overall value, there are still some system bugs that can create frustration. There have been issues with exporting financial statements. PDF exports work fine, but CSV exports do not always match the same format and are sometimes missing information, which requires additional manual cleanup. The voting module also has limitations. It does not allow formatting within ballot descriptions — no spacing, no bold text, and everything appears in one continuous paragraph. Additionally, there is no high-level overview of voting responses. To see how residents voted, you must click into each individual ballot rather than viewing a summary. There have also been occasional instances where transactions were recorded to the wrong account when multiple bank accounts are linked within the system. That said, these appear to be system bugs rather than structural issues, and given their ongoing upgrades, I’m confident these will likely be addressed over time.

### "Small HOA management"

Pros

Takes time to understand the product, but besides that i think it is a great platform. It covers all the basics we need for property management. For the price this is a great product! I have had only one small issue, that im sure will be an easy fix.

Cons

The invoicing and taking payments is a bit confusing. My deposit do not directly link to an invoice, or when i accept a payment i feel like im having to enter in twice.

When you record a manual payment (check or cash) and then deposit it at the bank, the deposit comes back through your bank feed without enough detail for us to auto-link it. is a great platform but comes with a lot of overhead from the company.. there are assumed items that they just think you know right off the bat where we were left in the dark from our prior management company... it made a very difficult transition. Overall the platform is great but we wish there was a little more customization for communities that our unique like ours.. Overall still enjoy the project JB and the support staff have been great in supporting us since our onboarding.. issues tend to get resolved quickly.

Pros

Easy initial setup with minimal technological knowledge required. The application is also easy to use from a homeowner perspective

Cons

Its hard to manage accounting... balance does not true up the way cash accounting would expect... Lack of support on finances in documented resources

It is very user friendly and offers all of the features we need as a board. We have no issues with reaching homeowners with emergency issues, our work orders are organized, and are able to upload documents for easy access for the residents.

I wish we were able to use this cooperatively with quickbooks. We have to manually merge information from one format to another.

Customer service= A+ Functionality = A Tiered Pricing = A+ Overall, the experience has been tremendous. I tested several platforms before choosing . It is meeting and exceeding my expectations with reporting and options to make the Treasurer job more manageable.

Pros

A one-stop shop for managing our condo community's financials. The ability to send invoices and receipts and the option to set up a website for our community to stay current with FL legislation for a self-managed condo community are crucial. The tiered pricing based on the number of units in the community is beneficial. The reporting will be a huge benefit (once I transition from Excel.) This builds a sustainable platform that can operate with little touch from Board to Board.

Cons

First, I'll state that the support function on is TOP NOTCH before I share. There is a bit of a learning curve, so plan a quarter to learn before launching to the community. You are not losing anything by waiting. You are gaining trust and can answer a lot more questions.

A valuable recommendation would be to implement a dedicated contact list for business queries and immediate or ongoing IT support to address any hiccups efficiently.

We believe that has been well received by the office as end users, assisting with providing a streamline path to completing daily activities, and its user-friendly experience for managing HOA-related tasks. The system offers excellent transparency, making it easier for residents and administrators to track payments, requests, and community updates. Many appreciate the accessibility and organization it has brought to Ridgemont in the areas of financial and operational HOA matters has been considered a plus.

Cons

There have been some concerns related to communication, particularly during system downtime or when adjustments and entry changes require turnaround time. This in no way affects our product contact and representative, but this statement is more related to standard image or IT system team as a protocol to update clients, and users of system upload, storage or error delays. While the platform functions well overall, improvements in real-time updates and a structured response process for technical issues would enhance user confidence.

I would say the experience has been pretty good and I usually have all my questions and concerns answered in a timely manner.

Pros

What I like most about is that you can access the system at any time and manage all your HOA accounts. It's very user friendly and most homeowners are able to use it without issues.

Cons

I don't like that homeowners have to pay a processing fee to pay their bills online. The whole system for setting up payment is hard for homeowners to do too, especially because a lot of them are older and don't understand how to do it and it has a lot of steps.

Overall, the experience is good. However, the mature clientele of our particular HOA do not understand the portal, nor the process of setting up autopay.

Pros

I found the Video Tutorials and Customer Support lines to be helpful. I've self taught myself as I am the office manager of a bookkeeping firm, and frequently guide HOA members with their payment options.

Cons

I would like to print reports with a filter to select exactly what I want to analyze. Older residents do not like the portal or understand the autopay set up. As a bookkeeping company servicing for an HOA, a high percentage of my time with the HOA we service is talking through the set up and payment system with .

Its been a good software program thus far, and good support. It might take a day to get a response, but they are always helpful in clearing up the problem.

Pros

Having complete control of the invoicing, payables, delinquent accounts, and most is being able to text communication the owners.

Cons

Not having 30-60-90 notices sent out to owners with late charges attached. We can visible see under "Reports" those that have are late payers, but have to scroll through the entire 310 owners to look for the delinquents.

### "Great software for small, self-managed HOAs!"

Overall, its great! Its easy to use and navigate, it has lots of features, and its just what we needed for our self-managed HOA.

Pros

Its a great centralized hub for all of our HOA documents, finances and communications, as we're a self managed HOA of 20 units that didnt want a lot of overhead.

Cons

I wish it was easier to set up an admin profile for the board members so communications could be consistent. We use a shared email for official HOA communications, such as when dealing with insurance or mortgage lenders. While I can manually change the email address that emails are sent from to the official HOA email, when I send out reminders for a survey, it doesnt give me that option and automatically sends it with my personal email address.

### "I recommend PayHOA"

More cost-effective than any property management software we've explored. Arguably the cleanest UX/UI on the market. Lots to speculate in terms of additional features and services being rolled out. Will continue to rely on it.

Pros

Super clean user interface. Responsive customer support. Saved us having to keep a QBO and Bill.com subscription, plus granting us property management faculties we really wanted.

Cons

Adopting senior unit owners is hard, but not surprising, regardless of simplicity. No mobile app - if you want to access from your phone, you have to do so from a browser with a sub-optimal UX/UI.

### "Great product to manage our community HOA"

My overall experience with is very good and I really encourage small community who wants to manage HOA themself to leverage it, it is pretty cheap compare to other software.

Pros

is very easy to use, a simple UI with all the features, I like the group broadcast feature a lot, it makes the HOA board member life easier to send announcement to all the members without pasting all the emails. I also don't see any obvious bugs while I am using PayHOA, they have an integrated virtual bot can talk to support and find relevant information on how to use the product.

Cons

One thing I will say is maybe integrate with some private message function within the community itself also use more AI to power the analysis on the community.

We've already rolled out an AI-powered chatbot ("Penny") in our website builder to help homeowners, and there's a lot more coming. ### "Invaluable tool for HOAs"

has been a game changer when it comes to bringing our self-managed hoa community into the 21st century. It's a way to keep all documents and records in one place and will ensure continuity of information as board members join or leave. The payment system is easy to use for both the admin and user side.

Pros

It integrates all our needs in one place, from payments to communications and records. The whole admin team has real time access to the same info

Cons

Wish it also did payroll since we have a small number of part-time employees and one full-time. Also, wish it had a toggle function for admin users who also own units. That way they can switch between admin view and regular user view. Some of our board members are not the most tech people and while they need access to admin rights it would be best they could switch that off so they don't do something wrong.

### "Game changer."

Fantastic. Highly recommend. I like all the spreadsheets that you can create with it and really find the broadcast tool, especially text, helpful for scheduling a meeting.

Pros

Absolutely loving . We were in dire straits. No organization, no reserves, no way to issue violations and now we have secured payment from 210 residents out of 224. We got most of those payments in only about 2 months. I like the way that violations are handled the most.

Cons

The way you have to save a tenant as "other contact." Not a deal breaker but I'd like to track the tenant and have an option that they receive all the same communications of the \[sensitive content hidden\]
