I think PayHOA is incredibly useful and I couldn't imagine managing the HOA without it. Cons I have a tricky time navigating to my personal account (for my townhome as a member of the HOA) as an admin, it's a little confusing "switching" from admin to personal. Great way to communicate with our homeowners, from batch billing to maintenance requests. Cons Accounting could be more refined. Recurring entry option would be nice. I use this product both as an HOA manager and HOA resident. Pros Straight forward, well designed software that streamlines HOA management. Good price point for services provided. Cons Lacks ability to print printer checks and accounting categories are not very detailed and are not able to be modified. Will also use the tax service this year! Pros Simple to get started and manage with one person! Cons Linking bank accounts and figuring out if the data is correct as one of us runs PayHOA and the other our bank so we assume its correct but sometimes it desynces and because we run ourselves as volunteers it can slip through the cracks and then reporting can be an issue. The ease of use, never losing the damn envelope on my desk anymore....it's a tangible if small improvement in my life. Pros My HOA used to do this with envelopes and paper checks. I hated it so much. It was the last thing I regularly wrote a check for. I was always late because I resented the task. Now it is just a few seconds to pay, I have a record of when I paid and how much. Instantly. I'm also on our HOA board, and it has made everything easier from the administrative side also. It's 2025, it's time for an upgrade in the way HOAs collect dues Cons That we didn't get it earlier! The product provides a great communication tool for our Condo Members. We are able to sent timely communication for updates, meeting and issues and everyone receives personal email. The maintenence process is very efficient and we are able to address the needed fixes or address the issues that are owner responsibility. The system works well with all our communications. Personnally I love the reports that are just a click away. Pros The product was easy to get started. Pay HOA staff answer the question quickly, provide brief chat sessions for clarification. \[sensitive content hidden\] has quickly supplied written instructions to make changes and fixes easy. Thank you!!! Cons I don't have any negative comments. I have been challenged merging bank accounts from our previous managament company and will be happy to start next year fresh. September 18, 2024 5.0 PayHOA has been very helpful during the evaluation period as well as during the implementation period. Even the AI chat has answered many of my questions. Pros We were able to implement PayHOA in our community and remove the property management company that was managing our property. We made this move for several reasons. First was to save money. Our other expenses were going up every year, with the move to PayHOA we were able to save thousands per year which we can now allocate to other expenses vs. raising our monthly dues. Second, we wanted a consistent method we could use into the future so that every time the board changed, our accounting process did not have to change!. Overall we really like it. Cons It took a while for us to get the hang of it. The support it great though and our questions are answered quickly. I like getting instant auto help feed back and if you need more help, you can email a support team member. I usually get help the next morning and the problem is solved. Pros The support and help menus. Owners can log into their accounting history and have a place where HOA documents are stored. Cons Because the software is web-based, sometimes the balance sheet doesn't update immediately. You may need to wait 1-2 minutes.
